------------

"Now, you can all inspect this box," Daniel gestured. "You can get very close to look... wait, sir? What is that you're pulling out of your pocket?"

"A magnifying glass," Morin said, holding a magnifying glass he had pulled out of his suit pocket (which was actually his storage space) with a completely straight face. "To get a better look."

Daniel: "???"

"I said you could get closer to look, not take out a magnifying glass to look! And who are you anyway, why do you carry a magnifying glass with you?!"

Daniel was screaming internally, but on the surface, he put on an awkward but polite smile. "I see. Please, sir, feel free."

The art of facial expression management was a required course for every magician.

And since using a magnifying glass didn't really affect the trick, Daniel wasn't flustered.

However...

Morin wasn't planning on stopping there.

He was already on stage, so wouldn't it be a waste not to use this opportunity to get a feel for performing as a stage magician?

"I think just a magnifying glass won't really show us anything," Morin said into the microphone that a staff member had handed to each of the "guests" on stage, addressing the audience below. "So, I'm going to use some other tools. What do you guys think?"

"Yeah!" The audience was instantly intrigued.

They had already been amused by Morin's action of pulling a magnifying glass out of his pocket, and now they were even more curious.

"Alright, do you have any tools?" Morin asked the audience. "For example, a hammer or a wrench?"

"Hahaha..." The audience erupted in laughter. Most of them shook their heads, laughing.

Who on earth would carry a hammer around with them?!

"Looks like I can't get any tools from the audience," Morin shrugged helplessly, looking at Daniel.

"Hmm?" Daniel raised an eyebrow. "If you'd like, I can lend you a deck of cards."

"That won't be necessary," Morin smiled meaningfully. "It seems I'll have to use the tools I brought myself, for example... a wrench?"

As Morin spoke, he turned his body to the side, facing the audience, and patted his suit pocket, showing that there was nothing inside.

Then, Morin put his hand inside and slowly pulled out a wrench that was clearly twice as long as the depth of his pocket!

"Whoa!" The audience cheered in surprise.

Morin handed the wrench to an audience member, gesturing for them to pass it around.

Daniel couldn't stay still.

With this kind of trick, Daniel wouldn't believe it if someone said Morin wasn't a fellow magician!

The problem was, fellow magicians were rivals!

Just before, Daniel's assistant, Henley Reeves, had left him. The reason was that she had learned enough!

At least, that's what Daniel had been telling himself... In reality, Henley couldn't stand Daniel's playboy personality, who cheated on her everywhere, and his controlling nature.

He was a player, but he didn't let others play. If she hadn't left, wouldn't she be a fool?

So, Henley had left him a short time ago, planning to go solo.

However, Daniel was now more focused on Morin, this fellow magician who might have come specifically to ruin his show!

Taking two steps forward, Daniel came up to Morin's side, put down his microphone, and with a smile, almost without moving his lips, said to Morin, "Sir, a colleague?"

"Yes," Morin nodded slightly. "I originally just wanted to come and watch... but who knew you'd invite me up here? So, I have to perform, don't I?"

"Who the hell said that!" Daniel cursed internally, but his face still held an enthusiastic smile.

"What are you planning to do?"

If Morin was planning on ruining the show, Daniel would have the security guards remove him, even at the risk of having to pause the performance!

"Just a performance, don't worry. I won't take up too much of your time, and I won't expose your tricks. I'm a professional."

Morin said, "How about you cooperate with me? We can complete it together? You can tell them that you invited me, so it won't be awkward, and both our performances can go on smoothly."

"...Fine, let's do it." Daniel thought for a moment. Although he was very unhappy, he still agreed with Morin's proposal.

Daniel was a very controlling person by nature; he liked to possess and lead. But this time, he had to admit that the plan Morin had proposed was the most suitable for them.

He was definitely unhappy, but compared to the consequence of his magic trick being exposed, the excuse that "Morin was a magician that Daniel had specially invited" was much more acceptable to him.

In Daniel's opinion, Morin just wanted to use this opportunity to piggyback on his popularity.

However, he seemed to have forgotten that he was the one who had called Morin onto the stage in the first place.

"Alright, this wrench has been perfectly inspected by everyone," After a while, Morin took back the [Super-Dimensional Wrench].

"Did any of you notice anything strange?"

"No!" The audience all said no. They had taken the wrench and tried to inspect it using various methods, and the result was always the same it was just a regular wrench.

Of course, it wasn't.

"Hmm... but I've noticed a very serious problem, which is this is a box nailed shut with nails, right?"

Morin put on a troubled expression. "It looks like we'll need a new tool... how about a claw hammer?"

While the audience cheered, Morin began his performance.

It happened very quickly, in a flash.

Morin grabbed the wrench, clapped his hands together to hold it, blocking the view of the wrench, and murmured something under his breath before releasing it.

The wrench had turned into a claw hammer!

This time, Daniel's smiling expression froze, just like the audience members.

Because even Daniel couldn't figure out how Morin had done it this time!

Before, when Morin had pulled the wrench out of his suit pocket, Daniel hadn't seen his movements clearly, but he had a general guess maybe he was using a special suit or had it hidden in his sleeve.

But this time, Daniel genuinely didn't understand the trick!

However, a smile quickly reappeared on Daniel's face.

No matter how Morin had done it, he had successfully engaged the audience's enthusiasm. So, with their temporary cooperation, it would only make his own performance more captivating!

After that, Morin did fulfill his promise.

Daniel had some flaws, like being a control freak, but he wasn't a bad person, so Morin had no intention of ruining his show.

Furthermore, Morin himself still wanted to learn a few of Daniel's tricks...

Although it was normal for a stage magician to perform magic, he couldn't just use magic every time and not know a single magic trick himself, could he?

After performing a few more times, pulling out items from his suit pocket and transforming items in front of the audience, Morin gave the stage back to Daniel.

"Okay, okay, this gentleman is actually a magician I invited," Daniel clapped. "Let's have him introduce himself, shall we?"

If he hadn't known Morin's name and was worried that Morin might cause more trouble, Daniel wouldn't have said that.

"My name is Morin." Morin smiled, made a simple introduction, and then went back to the three beautiful women who had been called onto the stage, leaving the stage to Daniel.

The four of them were then led backstage by staff.

This was the routine for guests Daniel invited on stage. Guests would be invited backstage, given a small gift... and after the performance, they could chat with Daniel and take pictures.

Of course, Daniel would also use this opportunity to flirt with the women.

Daniel breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that Morin would take up too much of his time again. "Well... let's begin today's performance!"

Daniel's performance went off without a hitch, and it once again satisfied the audience, who cheered enthusiastically.

However, after he finished his performance and went backstage, he was just about to go and flirt with the three women he had invited on stage, as was his habit, but he saw that the three women were getting along famously with Morin, and they were even getting handsy!

And the women were the ones initiating it!

Daniel: "???"

He occupied my stage, piggybacked on my popularity, and now he's hitting on the women I was eyeing, and three of them at once!

This was just too annoying!

I curse you not to be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning!

"Ladies?" Daniel couldn't stand it anymore and interrupted them. "Morin and I have something we need to discuss. Why don't you wait outside for a bit?"

"Go on." Morin also said.

"Phone number?" the women asked.

"Rather than a phone number," Morin smiled and tilted his head slightly, "how about just the hotel name and room number?"

Daniel: "!!!"

Daniel was shocked to see that the women, instead of getting angry, just cooed a few times and then actually wrote down the hotel name and room number for Morin.

Morin's actions opened up a new world for him.

Although he was also a playboy and had used his magic skills to hook up with countless women, he had never seen or used such a simple and direct approach!

I'll have to try that later!

Daniel thought to himself.

"..." Morin looked at Daniel, feeling as if he was thinking some not-so-good things, but he didn't pay it any mind. "Mr. Atlas?"

"Ah... yes?" Daniel snapped out of it.

"Didn't you say we needed to talk?" Morin asked.

"Yes," Daniel asked. "Morin, right?"

"You can just call me Morin." Morin said.

"It's like this. I've noticed, Morin, that your skills seem... pretty good," Daniel recalled what his regulars had said after taking a picture with him after the show.

"My assistant just left, so would you be interested in being my assistant?"

"Don't you have a new assistant?"

"Oh, you mean her? She was just a temporary replacement, my female companion from last night."

"If that's the case... it's not entirely out of the question," Morin rubbed his chin and thought for a moment. "

No, no, I don't think so. Being an assistant isn't very attractive."

"What?" Daniel frowned. "What do you want?"

"Don't you think it would be more interesting if two stage magicians competed on the same stage and let the audience score them?" Morin said.

"It adds a sense of rivalry and makes it more entertaining. And if we become famous, we can go our separate ways without affecting each other's popularity."

"You mean, we cooperate and help each other succeed?" Daniel let out a light laugh. "But my popularity is much higher than yours right now!"

"With my abilities, I'll become famous sooner or later. Don't be too quick to deny it. Be honest with yourself, would you rather have a competitor stealing your business, or a partner helping you both succeed?"

Morin clapped his hands together, and a wrench appeared in his hand again, making Daniel's eyes narrow.

It wasn't that he was afraid Morin would knock him out with a wrench.

It was that this time, at such a close distance and without any distractions, Daniel still couldn't figure out how Morin had made the wrench appear out of thin air!

He couldn't help but seriously consider the suggestion Morin had made.

Before, the audience's enthusiasm seemed to be a little higher than usual...

And Morin, who was watching the thoughtfully deliberating Daniel, kept a straight face but felt a sense of awe inside.

"No wonder so many magicians like to use magic tricks to show off magic. This feeling of using cheats right in front of people's faces, and they can only doubt their own intelligence, is absolutely amazing!"
