Chapter 49 - Gangbuk pt III

NOTE

Hey guys, I'm back! I finally finished everything at university today. It was a really long and exhausting week. I didn't have much time to write, and when I did, I really preferred to sleep because I was so tired.

Anyway, guys, enjoy today's chapter. WE'RE BACK TO REGULAR POSTING!!

South Gangbuk.

Bang.

Dominic Min, a terrifying, savage grin spread across his face. He yanked the hood of a guy's hoodie, then, without a second thought, smashed a soju bottle hard against the guy's head.

The bottle shattered into hundreds of pieces upon impact.

Click.

Before the poor unfortunate man could say anything else, Dominic Min slammed his knee into the guy's nose, producing a sickening click.

Bang.

Another knee strike followed. This time, the unfortunate man's nose couldn't take it anymore. Blood gushed out, distorting its original shape.

Dominic Min, a terrifying grin still adorning his face, continued to pummel the guy until he stopped moving.

Thud.

Seeing his prey go still, Dominic Min released the hood, and the poor guy collapsed to the ground like a dead dog.

Around Dominic Min, similar men lay writhing in pain, clutching and rubbing different parts of their bodies as if trying to soothe the ache.

Jin Jiang, sitting on a wooden crate with a woman with short hair and tattoos covering her body beside him, spoke in a monotone voice. "So, what do you think now?"

"We're joining," the woman with short hair, full-body tattoos, and a wooden katana in her lap replied in the same tone.

"It's good to know when to back down," Jin Jiang lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, opened the suitcase beside him, and noticed hundreds of small bags.

"You guys are really brave, huh? Selling drugs in Gangbuk without God Dog's permission? Did your brain melt? Don't you know Johan banned all this illegal crap in his territory?"

The woman, hearing Jin Jiang's words, kept her head down, not responding or refuting anything.

She sighed. "It seems I was a little negligent with the remaining small fry in Gangbuk," Jin Jiang said, looking away from the bags of fentanyl. He glanced at the woman and spoke in a tone that left no room for negotiation.

"Now that you've joined God Dog, speak up and tell me who the hell started this shitty business."

"Seok Kang, Southern High School," the woman replied immediately without hesitation.

"I see. Let's get going. These guys can't stay even if they beg. This time, you, Jihyeon Lee, will lead the way, understand?"

The woman, Jihyeon Lee, nodded slightly, stood up, and, looking at all the subordinates meowing in pain, sighed inwardly.

She never thought her "activities" would be known to God Dog. It seemed Seok Kang's monopoly, which had only just begun to take off, had ended here.

Ignoring all the guys meowing in pain, I walked among them without looking at them again.

Jin Jang looked at Dominic Min and said, "Come on, stop wasting time, let's finish sweeping all this up."

"Okay," Dominic Min replied, wiping his blood-stained fist on a small minion's clothes.

"That was easier than I thought," Dominic Min said as he walked beside Jin Jang.

"Certainly," Jin Jang agreed, shrugging. "There's no one to oppose us, and even if they try, all we have to do is beat them up or use Johan's name and they'll stop trying, hahaha."

Dominic Min nodded without replying, looked at Jihyeon Lee who was leading the way, and then at Jin Jang with a strange expression. "By the way, why did you bring this woman? Can't you handle hitting women?" If that's the case, why don't you let me...?

"Stop, stop," Dominic Min said. Before he could say more, Jin Jiang interrupted him, her face dark. She looked at him wordlessly and said, "It's not what you think. This woman isn't so bad. She's quite intelligent, and besides, her distant and taciturn personality makes her seem trustworthy."

.....

Domin Min tilted his head, confused, but still nodded mechanically.

Some time later, Jihyeon Lee led Jin Jiang and Dominic Min to Gangbuk South High School. At that moment, Seok Kang watched from the classroom window.

He immediately noticed hundreds of people in black hoodies surrounding his school.

Seeing the logos on these guys' hoodies, his eyes widened in shock, no longer squinting.

"Damn it, damn it, what's God Dog doing here? Did they find out about our business? Impossible... impossible, it shouldn't be like this. We were very careful, very careful. We only sold what we needed to live comfortably, nothing more."

Seok Kang's mind was a mess. He unconsciously clenched his fists tightly to relieve his inner panic.

The other members of his small gang looked at him with pale, worried faces. Some of them even started to move away from him. One had reached the door and, without looking back, ran as fast as he could.

Aware of the situation, Seok Kang glanced back, radiating such a terrifying aura that the fleeing members froze in place. They looked like helpless prey facing a hungry lion.

Among them all, only one person didn't react the same way. A silver-haired boy with an almost naive, serious face, an athletic build, and a silent demeanor. Unlike the others, he showed no panic or fear. He didn't even utter a word.

Seok Kang observed his most "loyal" men, especially the silver-haired boy. "Let's go outside and talk to God Dog," he finally said.

Fearful of his wrath, the others nodded mechanically.

Jin Jiang yawned lazily. He had no intention of going in; he would wait for them to come out. He had the numbers, the strength, and the intelligence to outwit all those guys. Even if Seok Kang was strong, so what?

He and Dominic Min could stop him. And if that wasn't enough, he had hundreds of minions backing him up. If necessary, he'd unleash a human wave tactic until he wore the opponent down.

And if even that failed, he had a super final boss behind him to back him up… right?

Even so, he preferred to finish things quickly and neatly. He didn't want to let Seo Joon down.

The silence grew thick as Seok Kang took the first step toward the exit. No one dared to breathe too loudly; after all, being surrounded by hundreds of people was truly terrifying.

Jin Jiang, seeing Seok Kang—a guy with a goofy face, closed eyes, and a muscular build—muttered mockingly, "Finally…" His tone was so contemptuous it was almost insulting.

But even so, Seok Kang didn't lose his composure and acted indifferently, as if he hadn't heard anything.

When Seok Kang and his men appeared, they stood in front of them. Jin Jiang tilted his head, amused.

"Well, well..." he said in a deep, playful voice. "I thought you'd take longer."

The men behind Seok Kang swallowed hard. The only one who didn't react at all was Yugyeom Na, whose face remained as impassive as a statue.

"You know why I'm here, right? Selling drugs in Gangbuk, you seem to have no fear of Johan."

Upon hearing Johan's name and that his little "operation" had been exposed, Seok Kang's subordinates trembled slightly, fear etched on their faces.

Seok Kang, showing no nervousness, replied directly.

"We came to negotiate."

Jin Jiang smirked at the joke. Even if it hadn't come from Seo Joon, he was certain that if Johan found out these people were selling drugs in his territory, he'd beat them to death.

After all, for some unknown reason, Johan hated and despised everything related to drugs with all his heart.

"So you want to negotiate, huh?" Although he wasn't going to accept anything, Jin Jiang was curious about what these guys were going to offer, so he asked with interest.

"We'll join forces with God Dog and make money for you using our new model. I'm sure you'll make more money than you do now. What do you think?" Seok Kang was bragging to Jin Jiang, his tone so confident it sounded like a Christian pastor giving a sermon.

...

Jin Jiang stared at Seok Kang like he was an idiot. He didn't know if all the crap Seok Kang was saying was true or if he was just making fun of him.

If Seo Joon were to hear this, he would undoubtedly say it wasn't about any of that. The reason was simple: Seok Kang was the most idiotic character in Questisim. Even when his strength increased, his intelligence decreased, which was peculiar.

Although this guy had the face of a scholar and radiated the aura of an intellectual, he was the complete opposite; deep down, he was a hopeless imbecile.

Besides, although this guy seemed polite, he actually had a most intriguing personality.

Tired of listening to the nonsense Seok Kang was spouting, Dominic Min, the most impatient of them all, ruthlessly and without a care in the world, pulled a bottle of soju from his bag and, without a care in the world, smashed it against Seok Kang's head.

Bang.

The bottle shattered into pieces, spilling all the liquid onto Seok Kang's face.

¿!¡?

At that moment, no one expected such an action. One minute Seok Kang was speaking eloquently, and the next, the other side couldn't take it anymore and attacked.

When Seok Kang was struck on the head, he was naturally disoriented and unable to react.

Bang.

¿!¡?

Click

At that moment, something even more brutal happened. Dominic Min, without waiting for a counterattack, kicked Seok Kang in the groin with ruthless brutality.

Seeing this action, everyone present felt a chill run through their bodies, even the stoic and silent Yugyeom Na trembled.

"Aghmmmm, damn it!" Seok Kang roared in pain as he collapsed to the ground, clutching his groin.

Seok Kang's eyes were bloodshot, and he was breathing heavily, his breath rushing through his nostrils repeatedly like a bull in heat.

The veins on his forehead and face bulged as if they had a life of their own.

Seeing this miserable state, even Jin Jiang, who knew Dominic Min's habits, felt uneasy. Yugyeom Na, who had initially been stunned, snapped out of his daze and threw a precise jab at Dominic Min.

The jab was so fast that even Jin Jiang was surprised. Before Dominic could react, he was struck squarely on the chin.

Yugyeom Na didn't stop there. He immediately threw a left hook with his left hand.

The hook was so sharp it cut through the air. Seeing this, Jin Jiang and the others didn't interrupt. Jin Jiang noticed at a glance that this seemingly quiet boy was quite interesting, so he let him unleash his full potential.

Dominic Min, though stunned by the jab, tilted his head back slightly, the blow grazing his cheek.

"You're good, but is that all?" Dominic Min wasted no time mocking him; after all, these were his methods. Yugyeom Na didn't respond, maintaining his usual expression.

Dominic Min took advantage of their proximity and threw a headbutt, direct and unexpected.

Yugyeom Na, surprised by this peculiar attack, blocked with his forearm and stepped back somewhat uncomfortably.

Then he moved forward and countered with a perfect kickboxing combination:

Jab – cross – low kick.

While most of the attacks didn't connect, the kick struck Dominic Min's leg, causing him to wince in pain.

"Hey, this kid's pretty good. He's no worse than Scott Kwon," Jin Jiang thought.

Dominic Min, while dodging Yugyeom Na's successive attacks, saw a traffic cone nearby, grabbed it, and used it as an improvised shield.

Yugyeom Na knocked the cone away with a single blow…

Taking advantage of this, Dominic Min quickly ducked, grabbed some garden dirt from the entrance, and threw it at Yugyeom Na's eyes.

The dirt hit Yugyeom Na's eyes, causing them to burn. Although he didn't speak, his face showed frustration and anger.

Seeing this, Dominic Min smiled contemptuously. "Hahaha, you're good at kickboxing, but that crap doesn't matter here."

Ignoring Dominic Min's mocking words, Yugyeom Na braced himself and charged at him with a knee strike.

Seeing this, Dominic Min deliberately dropped to the ground, dodging the impact.

From the ground, he launched a side kick to Yugyeom Na's ankle, throwing him off balance. Then, like a wild beast, he grabbed his leg and pulled him down completely.

Yugyeom Na got up quickly, returning to his standard stance.

But Dominic Min, with a twisted smile, didn't let him regain his footing.

And in that instant, he charged with everything he had, slamming him against the school's entrance wall. A metallic clang echoed as they both hit the fence.

Dominic attacked mercilessly:

A spit directly into his face to blind him.

A kick to the shin, right where it hurts most.

Another merciless knee strike directly to the groin, causing Yugyeom Na to let out a silent groan of pain.

Yugyeom Na, panting, trembling, still wounded but refusing to fall, took a staggering step toward Dominic Min. With outstretched arms, he tried to close the gap in a desperate clinch, a last attempt to stem the onslaught of attacks.

But Dominic didn't give him even half a second.

With an explosive movement, he ducked, looped around Yugyeom's legs from behind, and lifted him as if he were weightless.

¿¡!?

BANG.

The impact against the pavement shook everyone watching.

Dominic Min landed on top, instantly locking into the mount position, his weight solid, relentless, like a block of steel.

Yugyeom tried to push, to raise his arms, but Dominic was already several steps ahead.

His hands moved with mechanical precision, as if he had done this a thousand times before.

Without a word, Dominic yanked the drawstrings of Yugyeom's hoodie.

Pull. Knot. Closure.

The hat descended upon Yugyeom's face like a black trap.

His world went completely dark.

Yugyeom tried to escape, but it was impossible. The next moment, the massacre began.

Swoosh.

Swoosh.

Blows rained down again and again on Yugyeom's clouded face—punches, elbows, hammer blows, all kinds of strikes rained down. Yugyeom reluctantly tried to do something, but he had no strength left.

The next moment, his outstretched arms fell to the ground, sinking into unconsciousness. Seeing this, Dominic Min stopped, panting. It was obvious this fight had taken its toll on him.

Jin Jiang, who had been watching with interest, rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "This kid is good."
