On the highway, Barry, enveloped in yellow lightning, sped along the road with Lin Li.
Lin Li drew a silver streak, riding the Lightning War Cycle, transforming into a black phantom and disappearing before Cisco.
Cisco, excitedly holding a tablet, said,
"Accelerating to 500 kilometers per hour in 4 seconds—my calculations were correct! Lin Li, you and the Lightning War Cycle can totally handle it. How are you feeling now?"
The wind rushing past Lin Li's ears made a 'whooshing' sound, like something being torn apart. Combined with the smooth, fluid acceleration of the Lightning War Cycle itself, he felt as if he truly was a bolt of lightning tearing through the air.
Under the black helmet, Lin Li said, "No problem at all! Your thrusters and converter are amazing. I feel like I've truly become lightning."
"Of course! If it's from Cisco, it's a masterpiece."
"Next, let's try 600 kilometers per hour. Be careful; at this speed, the cycle's insufficient weight might cause it to flip over."
Hearing Cisco, Lin Li gestured to Barry beside him to accelerate.
Barry, leading with yellow lightning, easily overtook Lin Li.
As the speed reached 600 kilometers per hour, Lin Li felt the cycle becoming a bit unstable, with the tires losing some grip on the ground.
Lin Li lowered his body, relying on his powerful physique and control to maneuver the Lightning War Cycle. At this speed, the wind created significant resistance for him.
"Lin Li, how is it? Can you still control it?"
Cisco asked nervously. In his calculations, around 600 kilometers per hour was close to the maximum speed the Lightning War Cycle's weight could handle.
As for Cisco's idea of reaching the speed of sound, on par with Barry, it was possible with his plasma thrusters and converter. However, the insufficient weight of the cycle and the safety of the rider would pose a very significant problem.
"I can, Cisco. I think the tires should have increased gravitational magnetism to stick firmly to the ground. That way, the speed won't be limited by the cycle's weight."
Lin Li suggested.
"Hey, brother, I was thinking the same thing! Then we could remove the kickstand, and the Lightning War Cycle wouldn't need support to stand. That would be even cooler! I totally agree. Regarding magnetic fields, you're more familiar with them than I am, so this task can only be entrusted to you."

The testing was mostly done, and Lin Li and Barry returned to the research vehicle.
Cisco smiled and said, "How did it feel? Wasn't it amazing?"
Lin Li gave a thumbs-up, praising it lavishly without reservation.

Barry said enviously, "This is so cool! The Lightning Knight will strike fear into the hearts of metahumans."
At the mention of metahumans, Cisco, who had been basking in the praise, stopped smiling. Even Barry and Lin Li's compliments were cut short by him.

Of course, they had forgotten about the metahumans.
They had originally been discussing the appearance of a new metahuman in the control room. Cisco had led them astray, and because the cycle was so cool, the excited men had abandoned Caitlin and rushed to the Ferris Air Test Facility to test the Lightning War Cycle.
They had completely forgotten about the matter.
Lin Li's face darkened; even with his good memory, he had forgotten the important business.
Immediately, the atmosphere vanished, and the group quickly rushed back to Star Labs.
When Lin Li wanted to drive the Lightning War Cycle directly back, he was unanimously stopped by Barry and Cisco.
No driver's license....
Lin Li thought this was blatant jealousy, so open and fair that it left him speechless.... Jealousy!
Upon returning, they were, of course, met with a scolding. Caitlin was furious that they had disappeared to enjoy themselves when there was a serious matter of metahuman crime to deal with.

Lin Li, however, thought it was nothing out of the ordinary, just like usual. He had seen Caitlin's cold face many times; she was always cold-faced.
So, he stepped out of the line of those being scolded and said seriously, "We were testing equipment to deal with metahumans."
Could such a lie actually be spoken?
Cisco and Barry's minds immediately conjured that thought, but then, upon reflection, they realized it wasn't wrong. The Lightning War Cycle could indeed be considered equipment for dealing with metahumans.
The two of them chimed in from behind, agreeing with Lin Li.
"Yes, yes, Lin Li is right."
"YES, YES, YES....."
"Let's go find this metahuman."
"Right, I'll draw the metahuman's appearance, and Cisco, you can do a facial recognition search."
"Okay."
Caitlin's suspicious gaze swept over them. Cisco and Barry put on serious faces, pretending to be diligently working, and began cooperating to find the metahuman.
Lin Li stood to the side, calmly taking a Leonidas chocolate bar from his pocket and biting into it, waiting for their good news, though he already knew who it was.

"It seems he was conducting experiments on the night the particle accelerator exploded..."
Wells's voice came in.
Joe and Dr. Wells entered the control room together.
Barry's expression was unnatural when he saw Joe and Wells together. He approached Joe and asked, "Why are you here?"
The underlying meaning was to ask about the progress of his probe into Wells.
Joe didn't show much, saying, "You went chasing a metahuman? And you got injured? Iris was worried sick when she couldn't find you."
Barry's injuries had mostly healed by now, not as severe as before. Now, they looked like minor bumps and scrapes, so Joe wasn't overly concerned when he mentioned it; it seemed like a minor injury, nothing serious.
It was only then that Barry remembered that he had saved a security guard from a gun, then chased after the metahuman, got ganged up on and beaten, and then ran straight to Star Labs, completely ignoring Iris.
Barry said regretfully, "Oh no, Iris must hate me. I can't even keep my promises to her."
