At 9 AM, Lin Li, having worked up a sweat from his exercise, returned to his residence to shower and fry a large amount of eggs with vermicelli for breakfast.
Now, he usually wakes up at six, exercises, senses magnetic lines, controls magnetic fields, practices electrical energy, generally exercising for three hours. The remaining time is spent learning various knowledge, and evenings are for summarizing everything, including anything related to Wells.
Cisco seemed to have the nose of a dog; as soon as Lin Li finished making the fragrant egg-fried vermicelli, he started frantically knocking on the door.
"Lin Li, open the door quickly, I smell it."
Lin Li opened the door, and Cisco darted in.
He said thankfully, "It's perfect timing, Lin Li, you're too good! You fried my favorite vermicelli. Thank you so much, I won't be polite."
"What! This is my breakfast, go back and eat your Big Belly Burger."
Cisco ignored Lin Li, walked straight into the kitchen like he knew the way, grabbed a plate and a fork, and scooped more than half of the large portion of egg-fried vermicelli onto his plate. He sat down and started devouring it.
Lin Li looked at him exasperatedly, went to the fridge, poured two glasses of milk, and handed one to Cisco.
Cisco, while twirling his fork and eating, pulled out a silver, unbranded phone.
"Lin Li, this is a phone I specially customized for you. It's anti-magnetic, has an insulated layer, and is high-temperature resistant. You can carry it with you from now on without worry. The main thing is to remember to notify me when you eat. I've already set up your contacts; mine is first. Remember, you must notify me when you eat. And by the way, what's your favorite color?"
Lin Li took the phone, examined it, and said, "Black."
The phone was lightweight, about the size of an iPhone 5. Inside were a few apps, all communication tools made by Cisco and a downloaded Facebook app. There wasn't much else.
In less than three minutes, Cisco finished the egg-fried vermicelli. He patted his stomach, burped, and then left Lin Li's residence in a very satisfied manner.
The entire process, from arrival to finishing the meal, took less than five minutes.
Ten minutes after Cisco left, Lin Li also finished his breakfast. As soon as he finished washing the dishes, his phone rang.
"Lin Li, I was so engrossed in eating the vermicelli just now that I forgot to tell you: Doctor Wells is looking for you in the control room in the main hall."
After hanging up, Lin Li was a bit puzzled. What did Wells want with him? He thought a lot but couldn't figure it out.
A moment later, he arrived at the control room hall.
Wells was adjusting satellite data on the main computer.
"Lin Li, you're here. Last night's meal was very delicious. I look forward to continuing it next time."
Wells said, savoring the memory. Last night's meal had amazed him. For foreigners who consider burgers, pizza, and fries to be life, the Eastern cuisine recipes were simply a magical existence.
Lin Li said, "We'll continue tonight. I'll cook every night from now on, but tonight you'll need to learn how to use chopsticks."
Wells beamed, "Oh, good. Then I'll have to practice using chopsticks diligently during the day. I wouldn't want to miss out on the delicious food."
Caitlin happened to walk into the control room hall: "I can't pretend I didn't hear that. You know, I absolutely detest employees bribing their superiors, especially with delicious food."
"Alright, Caitlin, you should also practice using chopsticks diligently, otherwise you won't get to eat the delicious food tonight."
"Okay, I'll go buy chopsticks to practice right away."
Caitlin gave a triumphant smile, grabbed a file, and left the control room hall.
Wells watched Caitlin leave the control room hall with a smile on his face.
"Lin Li, since you arrived, Caitlin has smiled much more than before."
Lin Li disagreed, saying, "Is that so? I don't think so, Doctor Wells, what did you need me for?"
Wells said as if suddenly realizing, "Focusing on food made me forget about important matters."
Wells pulled out a USB, handed it to Lin Li, and said, "In 1951, an alien spaceship crashed in Redmond, Oregon. The US government researched and extracted a lot of data from the spaceship. Some of the alien encrypted data was recently deciphered by me. It concerns research on creating, expanding, and stabilizing distorted wormholes using a nascent singularity. It could very likely help you."
"The data here could very likely fulfill your wish. The most difficult part, I believe, is creating a nascent singularity. However, a singularity is uncontrollable; once an accretion disk forms, it will destroy this world. So, I envision that the formation of a nascent singularity would utilize negative mass to neutralize the singularity's gravitational field and control the stability of the wormhole. As long as you can pinpoint your world, open the wormhole and cross through in an instant, then unleash high energy in the singularity's gravitational field, causing everything to lose balance and dissipate. That way, you can return to your world unharmed, and this world won't be destroyed by the formation of a black hole."
Lin Li took the USB in shock. This was Wells's suggestion to him, but he didn't know that Lin Li, familiar with the plot, understood that if things truly followed this path, the last episode of Season 1 would indeed have a singularity, which is a wormhole. Because of Eddie's suicide, Wells was erased from time, leading to a singularity, a black hole.
And Lin Li could just use this black hole to open a wormhole and return to the real world.
This idea could very likely be realized.
Doctor Wells shook his head and smiled bitterly, saying, "But unfortunately, the black holes created by human technology are not truly black holes. Due to a lack of sufficient gravity, these artificial black holes cannot 'swallow everything around them' like real black holes, except for sound. That is, they only exhibit black hole properties for sound phenomena. Such black holes cannot accomplish the opening of an internal wormhole."
Wells sneered inwardly. This was the real method for Crossing . Although much of the data in the USB given to Lin Li was intentionally altered and written incorrectly by him, the general theoretical direction was not wrong. It just needed a very, very long time to verify. In this 'primitive era' of the 20th century, it would be impossible to truly create a usable singularity without a hundred or more years.
Lin Li was so moved that tears welled up in his eyes as he deeply clasped Doctor Wells's hand.
"Doctor Wells, thank you very much."
Lin Li was truly moved. It was true that current technology couldn't create a real black hole, but in the last episode of Season 1, the suicide of his ancestor Eddie and his own erasure led to the appearance of a black hole, making everything possible. How could Lin Li not be moved? He was practically moved to tears. Reverse-Flash sacrificing himself for others was too touching. Reverse-Flash's great method is good, Reverse-Flash's great method is unsurpassed.
It was time for everyone to show off their acting skills again.
Doctor Wells also said with great emotion, "The particle accelerator explosion brought you here, and I bear some responsibility. I hope this data will be helpful for you to return home."
The two were moving each other with their acting until Barry arrived.
Barry looked at Wells with a very unnatural expression and said, "Doctor Wells, I need Lin Li's help."
