Du Mu ran incredibly fast, leaving Matt Lawyer alone in the center of the corridor, facing a group of bloodthirsty ninjas.
"That bastard!"
Matt cursed inwardly and immediately adopted a fighting stance.
Unexpectedly, the footsteps that had just disappeared around the corridor corner quickly returned.
Du Mu came back to Matt Lawyer's side, looking righteous: "Matt Lawyer, I've thought about it seriously, and I just can't abandon my comrade and escape alone. So I've decided to come back and fight alongside you!"
Matt Lawyer didn't speak.
Because in his perception, another group of ninjas had emerged from around the corner, forcing Du Mu back.
Ninjas on both sides slowly closed in on the two from opposite ends of the corridor.
Just as they were about five meters away, all the ninjas suddenly stopped in unison.
The crowd parted like a tide, and a sexy woman emerged from their midst. She was dressed in a striking red ninja suit, with a slit so high it almost reached her waist, perfectly showcasing her two long, smoothly muscled legs.
The female ninja's gaze swept over Du Mu and Matt Lawyer, and she said coldly: "Hand over the ledger, and we might consider leaving you with intact corpses."
Matt Lawyer heard this and exclaimed in surprise: "Your voice sounds a lot like my ex-girlfriend."
The female ninja: "..."
Du Mu: "..."
Bushigomen, that pick-up line is way too old-fashioned.
"What ledger? We've never even seen it!" Du Mu vehemently denied, decisively dragging Matt Lawyer into the Water as well.
"In that case, you'll stay here forever!"
The female ninja snorted coldly, charged forward, and wielded two tridents, fiercely stabbing at Matt Lawyer!
She didn't know why she chose Matt Lawyer as her target, but subconsciously, she just really wanted to beat him up.
"Erica, it really is you!"
Matt Lawyer quickly dodged using his superhuman senses. This exclusive weapon further confirmed her identity.
Upon hearing that name, the female ninja's brows furrowed slightly, as if it had stirred some deeply buried memories.
And so, she fought even harder!

Du Mu could see all the ninjas' red markers through his mini-map.
Even with obstructed vision, he could easily pinpoint these ninjas, who thought they were perfectly hidden, by simply judging their approximate positions using the mini-map.
In fact, the ninjas' cautious movements made it even easier for Du Mu to aim.

Matt Lawyer's heart swelled with joy, thinking he saw hope: "Erica! Have you finally remembered?"
He subconsciously relaxed his guard and moved closer, only to be struck in a vital spot by Erica's crotch kick, instantly donning a mask of pain, doubling over and kneeling on the ground.
What a brilliant ruse!
Du Mu, watching from the side, was amused: "Matt Lawyer, how could your method of awakening memories possibly work? Let me handle it."
Du Mu put away his golden desert eagle and slowly walked towards Erica.
"Hey, do you remember who you are?"
Erica didn't answer, cold as a killing machine, and without a word, she charged at Du Mu, rapidly thrusting her two tridents!
Death's Eyes!
Time slowed down, and Du Mu calmly avoided the tridents.
