The next morning...estelle woke up and saw axel's enlarged face and froze,this time she didn't scream she stared quietly at his face feeling at peace,if only they could be like this...a perfect family...she quickly shook her head,what was she thinking,he had a child and a wife,she took a deep breath.
She moved and the arm around her waist tightened,she paused and stared axel's face seeing he wasn't awake she stared around and saw mirabel at the far end of the bed almost falling down,her heart leaped she moved again,she suddenly felt a hard thing poking her,she twitched her lips,he actually slept with his phone in his pocket,she reached for the 'phone' and her habd wandered over it,she frowned and gave it a hard squeeze,she gasped,this didn't feel like a phone.
Axel groaned and his husky voice rang out"what the hell...do you want to ruin your happiness?"
Estelle's face burned bright red she scrambled off him and muttered"pervert.."
Axel raised an eyebrow not at all embarassed"says the flirt who ran from her side of the bed to cuddle with me"
Estelle gritted her teeth"it wasn't on purpose"
Axel smirked"oh really"
Estelle grabbed a pillow and threw it at him,he caught the pillow effortlessly which made estelle more irritated,she took the pillow and started hitting him,after a moment of tussling axel grabbed estelle's hands and pinned her beneath him,holding her hands with one hand,seeing a strand of hair on her lashes he raised his hand to brush it away when a voice rang out.
"daddy...what are you doing"
They both froze and glanced at mirabel,whose eyes were filled with tears,axel quickly went to her and was about to wipe her tears when she hit his hand away.
"Daddy how could you do this you actually want to hit estelle"
estelle's earlier frown turned to a smile"oh no mira you've misunderstood"
mirabel shook her head and went to estelle gripping her hand tightly"sister there's no need to be afraid i'll protect you from the big bad monster"
estelle burst into laughter at axel's increasingly dark face,mirabel looked at her in confusion"why are you laughing...do you think i can't protect you?"
Estelle paused and glanced at mirabel"of course not darling...i was just touched"
mirabel huffed proudly"i wouldn't let anything happen to you"
Estelle glanced at the dark-faced axel,she cleared her throat"mind moving the block out of here?"
mirabel's smile turned into a scowl she shoved axel out and closed the door,dusting her hands"all done"
Estelle smiled"let's freshen up"
An hour later they went downstairs for breakfast,mirabel kept ignoring axel,who glared at the unfazed estelle.
After breakfast mirabel went for her classes,estelle sat beside axel and glanced at him seriously.
"from my investigation i made concerning mirabel's health....i found out she was being poisoned...normally she could have undergone the surgery without any issue,with the help of my medical skills..but i'll have to focus on detoxifying her first"
seeing he was silent she stood up and returned with a piece of paper"apart from the herbs i prescribed..these will focus on curing the poison and they are very important"
Axel nodded and went to the study,shortly after his assistant entered the study,the assistant shivered feeling the cold air emnating from axel.
He tapped his fingers on the desk lost in thought"investigate what leonard had been up to"
The assistant nodded and left,axel stood up and prepared to go to the company when he saw estelle treating her wounds,he paused and walked over to her collecting the cotton and carefully helping her.
Estelle's heart skipped a beat as she stared at his side profile,he suddenly looked up meeting her gaze,she held her breath unable to avert her gaze he checked her face carefully.
"the swelling has subsided make sure you use the ointment"
He left leaving estelle stunned,she held her racing chest and looked at the entrance in thought....
