Chapter 294 - Chapter 294: My Teacher Is a Titled Douluo!

June, Sun Moon Empire, Mingdu.

'Why do I feel like I've come to Western Europe?' Walking into the city and seeing the towering stone spire buildings, Yang Yunhai couldn't help but think. Marble walls, engraved metal inlays—each structure looked like a castle, elegant yet heavy, full of artistic atmosphere.

The streets were paved with massive stone slabs, with rows of metal-forged street lamps lining either side.

Recalling the plateaus, deserts, and heavily mined mountain landscapes he'd seen along the way, he found it all reasonable.

This was a continent extremely rich in "stone" resources, whether building stone or ore.

As for forests, outside of areas where humans couldn't survive, they weren't abundant. Especially around human settlements, mining had stripped them bare. Many forests were obviously artificial, with trees planted in perfect rows and no undergrowth.

No doubt, mining and quarrying had gone too far, and later they were forced to repair the land.

'This is the price of urban development and soul tool technology,' he sighed inwardly.

"Too bad there aren't any soul tool books for sale!"

From his observations, Yang Yunhai felt the Sun Moon Empire's strict control over soul tool knowledge, as well as their determination to restore the environment. No wonder even after 10,000 years the Sun Moon Continent wasn't hollowed out. Not a single soul tool book was sold to civilians.

Only soul masters who entered academies—high-level ones—had the right to study. Likely to prevent them from wasting their prime years of cultivation. As for ordinary people, they had only the right to use soul tools, not to make them.

At least, that was the national policy at the time.

'So, I have to join a soul master academy to learn soul tools? Of course, I could look for a so-called black market—where there's money, there's risk-takers. Or, I could rely on force through some family of soul masters.'

Thinking this, Yang Yunhai walked further into the city.

Before long, he and Ghost Douluo arrived at a hotel, checked in, and ordered food.

"Uncle, I plan to enter the Sun Moon Royal Academy," Yang Yunhai said during the meal. "Judging from Zhu Zhuqing's pace, it'll take her about 4 more months to break through rank 60. With travel time back to Sea God Island, I still have 2 months. That's enough for me to memorize a good deal of soul tool technology."

When it came to knowledge reserves, the empire's top academy had to be the richest. Unlike the Douluo Continent, the Sun Moon Continent's soul master education was empire-led, with only one top academy: the Sun Moon Royal Academy.

Both nobles and commoners could attend, showing how much importance the empire placed on soul masters. Whether discrimination existed inside, he didn't know.

But either way, as the empire's highest academy, he believed it had a library.

With his current mental strength and memory, 2 months was enough to memorize plenty. Worst case, he could record while memorizing.

"Good," Ghost Douluo nodded.

Although Yang Yunhai was only a Soul Saint, with multiple top-grade soul bones, immense physical strength, and vast soul power reserves, plus powerful spiritual strength, his combat power could rival ordinary Titled Douluo.

And with his domain camouflage to conceal himself, Ghost Douluo wasn't worried about exposure or safety.

"Then I'll prepare today and go tomorrow morning," Yang Yunhai smiled. With his soul power and mental control, changing his face by subtly adjusting muscle tension wasn't difficult—it just wasn't comfortable for long.

Fortunately, he wouldn't have to stay long. He could endure: change by day, revert by night.

That night, Yang Yunhai stood before a mirror and altered his face. Though his bones stayed the same, by stretching and compressing muscles, his appearance shifted considerably.

His looks dropped from a 10 to a 7.

Still a bit handsome, enough to keep favorable impressions without inviting envy. Girls, emotional creatures, were usually drawn to looks—easy to strike conversations and gather information. But if you were ugly—

乀(ˉεˉ乀) Get lost!

Looking too handsome, however, would spark jealousy in men, which was counterproductive.

After half an hour, he looked at the result in the mirror, quite satisfied. He burned the image into his memory to repeat later.

"Not bad! Like this, even if I run into Ming Hongchen and his wife face-to-face, they won't recognize me."

He raised his hand, summoned his martial soul, and activated his Blue Silver Domain. The golden glow vanished, transforming into a plain old tree. His soul rings shifted—yellow, yellow, purple—while the rest disappeared.

"Perfect!" he said with satisfaction.

Yiner, lying on the bed, propped her chin on her palm and watched with a smile. As Yang Yunhai turned toward her, she blushed, quickly sat up, and he walked over, smiling, canceled his disguise, and leaned in close.

The next morning, outside the gates of Sun Moon Royal Academy.

"Excuse me, are you here to visit someone?" The guard, seeing the richly dressed pair, asked politely.

Clothes make the man indeed. To enter a place like this, appearances mattered. Unlike Tang San and Tang Hao in the original story, walking into high-class places in rags then blaming others for disdain. Yang Yunhai found the comparison apt and wore a sharp outfit.

"Hello, I'm here to enroll in the academy."

He said it earnestly.

"???" The guard was stunned. Was this a joke? Anyone knew enrollment season had passed.

But remembering this was the empire's highest academy, guarded by Titled Douluo, he thought better. Surely they weren't that foolish.

Keeping his professionalism, he replied politely, "Sorry, the enrollment period is over."

Yang Yunhai nodded slightly.

"My teacher is a Titled Douluo."

The guard froze in shock.

Yang Yunhai then added, looking at Ghost Douluo beside him:

"My Uncle as well."

The guard glanced at Ghost Douluo—and felt crushed by an invisible aura. Just one look, and his spine turned cold. He quickly bent slightly and said respectfully, "Please wait here."

When Titled Douluo were involved, he had to report it. If it were true and he offended them, the consequences would be unimaginable.

He turned and sprinted into the academy.

Soon, a middle-aged man appeared, with the sweating guard behind him.

"May I ask—" The man approached, bowed slightly toward Ghost Douluo, and was about to inquire. But Ghost Douluo's cold, emotionless voice cut through:

"My nephew wishes to study soul tools. Place him in your academy."

With that, he turned into a streak of light and flew off before their eyes.

Flying in the air—indeed a Titled Douluo.

The middle-aged man froze, glanced up at the fading black rainbow, then down at Yang Yunhai.

Big eyes staring at small eyes—completely dumbfounded.
