"No!!!" Ariel screamed tears welling up into her eyes.
She wanted to go closer to Emerald but she stopped when her gaze met with the book on the bed which was glowing.
She furrowed her brows before walking to the bed. She picked up the book and the book flipped open to a page. In that particular page, four words were written boldly and she gulped before looking at Emerald.
She stretched her hands towards Emerald and her hands glowed red which made her smile widely. She looked at the book and muttered the words immediately.
"Sanatio totalis, vulnera oblitus!!"
Emerald stopped vomiting blood and fell to the bed with closed eyes. The blood around her lips disappeared immediately.
Ariel looked at the blood and intestines on the ground before stretching her hands towards it.
"The last time Andrea's shoe caught on fire, what exactly did I say?" Ariel asked herself trying to recall.
"I got it!!" Ariel squealed.
"Incendia!"
It caught on fire and she smiled before facing Emerald. She walked closer to her and placed her ear on her chest. She raised her head up with a gasp when she didn't hear her heartbeat.
"She's dead" She muttered tears welling up in her eyes. The book stopped glowing immediately she said those words and she looked at the book.
She opened the book flipping through the pages to see if she'd see a word she could use to receive Emerald but she didn't see.
"Wake up" She cried and fell to her knees. She dropped the book on the ground and stared at Emerald as more tears escaped her eyes.
She felt a presence behind her and she quickly stood facing Conrad.
"What do I do? She's dead already" Ariel said wiping her tears.
"She can't be dead when you're here" He said with a straight face.
"Ohhh that's right. She's currently alive and moving and I'm here" Ariel said sarcastically.
He just stared at her and she scoffed facing Emerald.
"Where's the book you came with?" Conrad asked and she pointed at the book on the ground without looking back.
"The answer is in the book, just check" He said and she faced him.
"If I didn't check, I won't be asking for your help right now!!" She snapped.
"What happened when you took the book?" He asked and she rolled her eyes before speaking.
"It glowed and then it opened by itself to a page which made me stop her from vomiting blood and her intestines" She said.
"Then why did it stop glowing?"
"I think after I said she was dead" Ariel said and he smirked squatting. He picked up the book and handed it to her.
"Why won't the book stop glowing when you killed it's energy by uttering those negative words?" He asked and she stared at the book before collecting it.
"Be positive and it'd work, try it" He said and she turned staring at Emerald.
"You're not dead" She said and looked at the book but it was still like that.
"You're not dead Emerald. You can't die when you have me as your friend" She said and the book glowed a bit.
"One last time"
"You're not dead Emerald. I'm going to bring you back to this world and make you stand up for yourself. I'd make you'd be happy and I'd make sure you won't regret ever coming back to this world, so book, show me how to bring her back" She said and the book shone a bright light which made Ariel chuckle.
The book opened and flipped pages till it landed on a particular page. She stared at the words on the pages before stretching forth her hands at Emerald. Her hand glowed red and she muttered the words.
"Anima revivo, Vitalis restituo,
Mortis reversio, Spiritus resurgit"
Emerald's body glowed and rose up floating in the air. All body parts were healed, the blood was restored same as her intestines. The scar on her tummy disappeared and it was as if she was a new being due to the fact that her body had no injury or scratch.
Her body landed back gently on the bed and Ariel faced Conrad. A slight groan escaped Emerald's lips and he snapped his fingers. She froze immediately excluding Conrad and Ariel.
"She's alive" Ariel said happily.
"Like I said earlier, she can't be dead when you're here!" He said and she smiled.
"Thank you" Ariel said and he nodded before wanting to snap his fingers but she stopped him.
"This book is a spell book right?" She asked.
"Yes it is"
"But I have to return it next week" She said and he smirked before snapping his fingers.
A copy of the book appeared. Tho it was not actually an overall duplicate of the book, like it lacked the spells in the book. It was just a plain ordinary book.
"Return it early. I'd take this and drop it in your room under your closet" Conrad said and snapped his fingers.
He disappeared with the original book leaving the duplicate one with her.
She smiled and turned to Emerald. She squinted her eyes before opening them slowly. She used her eyes to scan the room and her gaze landed on Ariel. She sat up slowly and Ariel rushed to her to help her arrange the pillows well behind her.
"How are you feeling now?" Ariel asked and Emerald looked at her palms and then at the room before leaning closer to Ariel.
"Am I in heaven?" Emerald asked and Ariel chuckled.
"No, you're alive" Ariel said and Emerald sat straight.
"But how?" Emerald asked and Ariel smiled.
"When I came back, I saw a bite on your neck and I figured that it was an abnormal type of spider that bit you so I got the remedy my mum gave me for spider bites and i injected it into you that's why you're alive and the bite mark isn't there anymore." Ariel said and Emerald's eyes widened.
She touched her neck and smiled when she felt nothing.
"Thank you so much" Emerald said and pulled Ariel in a for a tight hug. They hugged for some minutes before breaking the hug..
"My pleasure"
"But what exactly happened?" Ariel asked.
"Well, I was laying on the bed with closed eyes when I felt a sharp pain on my neck. I tried opening my eyes but I couldn't cos the venom went into my system immediately. I felt weak and I could only whisper for help. That's all I could remember." Emerald said.
"You felt something on you right?" She asked.
"Yes and I have a feeling it came through the window." She said and Ariel looked at the window. She stood and walked to the window touching the glass.
She felt a tingling feeling in her and she furrowed her brows. She looked closely at the window and then her eyes widened.
'Magic!'
She withdrew her hand from the window and faced Emerald.
"Sorry"
"Thanks" Emerald said with a smile.
"But do you think this room is still pretty much safe for you?" Ariel asked and she looked around the room.
"Yeah it is! But I will change the location of my bed. It won't be close to the window anymore" Emerald said and Ariel nodded.
"That's a really good idea. Should we exchange the position of your bed with that of your shoe rack?" Ariel said and asked.
"Yeah that will be good" Emerald said and smiled. She got down from the bed and stood at the right side of the bed.
Ariel went to the left side of the bed and they carried the bed to where the shoe rack was. They took the shoe rack back to where the bed supposed to be.
When they were done arranging the place, Emerald smiled.
"It's better than before" She said.
"True" Ariel said and the bell rang.
"I guess I have to get going. I'm having a class now" Ariel said and Emerald nodded.
"Sure thanks again. I really appreciate" Emerald said with a smile.
"My pleasure" Ariel said with a smile before walking to the door. She held the door knob and looked back at her.
"Remember to defend yourself always. You have been healed completely due to the remedy, don't let any unnecessary scratch come your way" Ariel said.
"I will do just want you said" Emerald said and Ariel smiled before leaving.
