The object of his amusement?
It was a little girl about ten years old who was pouting and glaring at him, her arms crossed as if trying to blame him for something. The girl was, of course, little Ningning, his boss's daughter.
"Chenchen, why did you do this to me?" the little girl said in a blaming tone.
Wei Chen chuckled. "Do what?"
"You ratted me out to Fourth Mama! You told her about the floating islands!" she said with a huff, glaring at him.
Wei Chen paused, wondering what she meant. He ratted her out? Then he slowly realized what had happened and replied with an amused smile.
