Annihilation Trinity remained active around Noctis after the destruction of Aurelion's left side, the Genesis Halos behind him holding the same synchronized relationship they had maintained throughout the execution sequence. The field continued recognizing Aurelion as its sole designated target, so every portion of divine reinforcement he produced inside its range was subjected to Oblivion Rend, Divine Inversion, Crimson Crucible Tempest, Abyssal Genesis Dominion, and Purity Inversion Flames working together. Malgoryth remained within the same region with Ghorvath in his hands and black-red rift pressure surrounding the weapon, yet none of Trinity's destructive interactions touched him. Noctis had never added the demon god to the execution sequence, and the distinction remained intact even after Aurelion's sacrificial countermeasure had failed.
Aurelion had survived the loss of nearly half his body only because he had turned the exposed left side into Trinity before the execution sequence could reach the divine core and the structures supporting his central circulation. The left arm no longer existed, the left wing had been annihilated from the root, most of the shoulder was gone, and the damage had passed through a large portion of the chest and flank before continuing downward through the hip and upper leg. Enough of the central torso remained to preserve his life, and his head, core, right leg, and surviving wing continued functioning, but the body supporting them had lost the symmetry on which most of his earlier movement depended. Judicael remained gripped in his right hand, though the weapon now served almost as much as a support for his mutilated body as it did as a means of attack.
The surviving right side had already carried substantial damage before Trinity destroyed the left. His wrist had been strained repeatedly while compensating for the earlier injuries to Judicael, the route beneath the right collarbone had endured continuous surges of divine reinforcement, and the right wing-root had been injured badly enough to leak sanctity whenever he opened it too far. Those same structures now carried nearly the entire burden of his movement, forcing Aurelion to keep Judicael close to what remained of his center while the surviving wing prevented the absent left side from dragging his balance away from him. Every adjustment became slower and more expensive because there was no longer another arm, wing, or leg on the opposite side to absorb the correction.
White-gold reinforcement collected around the exposed edge of Aurelion's missing side as he tried to withdraw. He did not attempt to restore the vanished arm or wing, because rebuilding structures that Trinity could immediately dismantle would only waste power he needed to preserve his core. Instead, he formed the thinnest stable boundary he could maintain along the surviving chest, abdomen, and hip, using it to keep the destruction from progressing farther inward while the right leg and wing carried him away from Noctis.
Trinity attacked that reinforcement the moment it formed. Oblivion Rend weakened the continuity of the white-gold structure, Divine Inversion entered the sanctity revealed beneath the damaged layer, and Crimson Crucible Tempest stripped away what separated before Aurelion could reclaim it. Abyssal Genesis Dominion occupied the openings just long enough to keep the damaged structure from closing cleanly, forcing Aurelion to keep replacing only the portions necessary to remain alive. The pressure never gave him enough stability to begin repairing what had already been lost.
Noctis followed without changing Trinity's target or increasing the field unnecessarily. The two Bloodfang Reapers separated around Aurelion, one moving toward the lower portion of Judicael where the widened seam remained vulnerable while the other approached the missing-left-side angle that no longer possessed an arm or wing to defend it. His shortened blood-forged sword remained in his right hand, and Genesis Vessel continued repairing the older physical injuries accumulated earlier in the battle while Aegis covered the body beneath the armor. He kept enough distance to avoid entering Judicael's remaining reach carelessly, but every step reduced the room available to the wounded divine god.
Malgoryth watched the pursuit from inside Trinity and felt none of the pressure surrounding Aurelion. Ghorvath remained fully reinforced, the black-red rift power around the axe did not lose cohesion, and his body defenses remained untouched even when he moved through portions of the field where Aurelion's sanctity deteriorated immediately. The exemption had existed throughout the earlier clash, but the Royal Demon King's message had changed the value Malgoryth placed on it. He now understood that the vampire controlling the execution sequence was not an unidentified god who had happened to appear on the battlefield.
Noctis was a student of the Demon Academy, personally noticed by the Demon God behind it, and the owner of the 3-Star Fortress. Malgoryth had already watched him survive the trial structures compressed into Judicael, withstand Radiant Verdict without allowing holy power into his vessel, and dismantle the declaration until Aurelion abandoned it to preserve the god weapon. Trinity had then remained active instead of disappearing with Radiant Verdict, and when Aurelion forced himself through the field behind sacrificial divine layers, the technique had eventually reached the body itself and removed most of his left side. The political information from the Royal Demon King gave those accomplishments a weight they had not possessed when Noctis had merely been another unknown participant in the battle.
If Malgoryth allowed the current exchange to continue, Aurelion would probably die first. The divine god no longer had enough intact structure to withstand prolonged pressure from Trinity while also defending against the Reapers and Noctis's sword. Once that happened, the only reason Malgoryth remained untouched inside the execution sequence would disappear with their common opponent. Noctis could designate him next, and Malgoryth would lose the extraordinary advantage of already standing inside the field before it considered him hostile.
He kept Ghorvath directed toward Aurelion while making that calculation. The axe remained angled in a way consistent with the attacks he had used throughout the earlier fight, and the rift pressure gathering around it increased gradually instead of flaring hard enough to announce a change in target. To Noctis, the preparation could still be interpreted as Malgoryth waiting for the divine god's condition to deteriorate far enough for one decisive strike. Malgoryth needed that interpretation to survive until he reached the position he wanted.
Noctis had not heard the Royal Demon King's message, but he had seen Malgoryth receive it. Crimson Omen Sight had caught the brief change in the demon god's attention during Aurelion's preparation for the sacrificial countermeasure, and Noctis had kept the communication in mind even after Malgoryth resumed watching the divine god. Nothing afterward had justified making Malgoryth a target of Trinity, but Noctis did not remove him from his broader awareness simply because their immediate interests still appeared aligned.
Aurelion retreated another several meters before the first Reaper forced him to move Judicael. The construct approached the lower guard from the side where Trinity had already destroyed most of the mirror support, and Aurelion pulled the blade-scepter across his surviving torso before the blood-metal edge could reach the widened seam. The movement placed nearly the entire weight of Judicael through the damaged right wrist, and the strained route beneath the collarbone brightened as divine pressure flooded it to prevent the weapon from dropping. The Reaper curved away before the god weapon reached it, leaving Aurelion to absorb the cost of the correction without landing a counterattack.
The second Reaper entered through the missing-left-side angle before his body settled. Aurelion had no arm or wing there to intercept it, forcing him to turn his entire remaining torso and bring Judicael farther across himself while the right wing opened to preserve balance. That movement exposed the damaged wing-root, and white-gold sanctity escaped from it into Trinity, where the execution sequence began stripping it immediately. The first Reaper returned toward the lower guard as soon as Aurelion committed to the second correction, forcing him to shift the weapon yet again through the same injured wrist and shoulder.
Noctis continued advancing while the two constructs worked those weaknesses. The shortened sword rose into a more active position, and his steps brought him close enough that Aurelion would soon have to account for a direct physical attack in addition to Trinity and the Reapers. The divine god remained powerful enough to punish a careless entry, but his ability to control the surrounding space had diminished dramatically because every defense required the same damaged weapon and the same surviving side of his body.
Malgoryth moved before Noctis reached that range.
He accelerated toward Aurelion with Ghorvath held low enough to gather momentum through the approach. Black-red rift pressure tightened around the axe head and haft while his body angle remained consistent with a finishing attack against the mutilated divine god. Aurelion saw him coming and immediately tried to bring Judicael into the approaching line, using the right wing to offset the missing left side while the wrist struggled under another abrupt change in weapon position.
Noctis slowed rather than entering the same space. If Malgoryth intended to finish Aurelion, interfering would only prolong the battle, and the obvious attack line gave him no practical reason to obstruct Ghorvath. Crimson Omen Sight nevertheless remained on the demon god's lower body, shoulders, grip, and rift flow while the Reapers continued threatening Aurelion. The communication had given Noctis enough reason to watch closely, even if it had not given him enough reason to act first.
Malgoryth's lead foot struck the ground and his hips began driving the weapon through the early portion of a committed swing. Ghorvath moved with the same heavy acceleration that had characterized his earlier attacks, and the black-red pressure around the axe compressed more tightly as the distance closed. Aurelion raised Judicael to receive the expected strike, exposing more of the weapon to the Reapers while the right wing struggled to hold the remaining body upright.
The approach did not bring Malgoryth directly into Aurelion's center. He passed slightly along the divine god's surviving right side, taking a route that still offered a clear killing angle while carrying him farther across the battlefield. Noctis watched that change in geometry as Malgoryth continued forward, the demon god's position shifting until he was no longer simply opposite Aurelion. Another step placed him behind and slightly to one side of Noctis.
Nothing had yet changed in Ghorvath's movement enough to justify an immediate response. The axe could still have completed a strike toward Aurelion from that position, and the route around Judicael made sense for anyone trying to avoid the strongest part of the god weapon. Noctis therefore allowed Malgoryth to finish committing his body to the approach while keeping Crimson Omen Sight on every change in the attack's underlying mechanics.
The betrayal revealed itself in the final portion of the swing.
Malgoryth altered the pull through his rear hand, shortened the rotation of the forward shoulder, and redirected the remaining movement through his hips before the axe passed the point where its momentum could no longer be used. Ghorvath changed endpoint without having to reverse direction, preserving most of the force already generated during the charge. The rift pressure surrounding the weapon followed the new path and concentrated toward Noctis's back instead of Aurelion's surviving torso.
Noctis had already accounted for the possibility.
He did not attempt to retarget Trinity in the fraction of time remaining before impact, because Malgoryth had spent the entire approach inside the field while remaining exempt from its destructive effects. Ghorvath was already fully reinforced and only a short distance away, and trying to turn the execution sequence toward the demon god after the attack had been launched would not remove the physical momentum of the weapon. Blocking it would also force Noctis to accept the full mass of a god-level axe from behind.
Genesis Step activated before the strike reached him.
Noctis disappeared from the attack line after Malgoryth had committed too deeply to stop cleanly. Ghorvath passed through the place where his back had been, carrying enough black-red pressure to tear across the empty space beyond him before Malgoryth could begin recovering the weapon. The attack missed completely, but the instantaneous displacement broke the relationship supporting Annihilation Trinity at the same time.
The Genesis Halos left their synchronized execution alignment as Noctis changed position through Genesis Step. Oblivion Rend stopped operating across the selected field, Divine Inversion ceased acting through Aurelion's exposed sanctity, and Crimson Crucible Tempest lost the continuous structure that had kept it circulating around the designated target. Abyssal Genesis Dominion and Purity Inversion Flames withdrew with the rest of the unified sequence, leaving the battlefield without the pressure that had been dismantling Aurelion's reinforcement every time it formed.
Aurelion felt the change immediately. The white-gold support along the missing side of his torso stopped deteriorating under Trinity, and the divine pressure entering Judicael no longer began failing simply because the weapon remained within the selected region. He did not yet have enough stability to exploit the change offensively, but the continuing destruction that had been driving him toward collapse had ended.
Malgoryth recognized the same result while Ghorvath completed the missed swing. His attack had failed to strike Noctis, but forcing Genesis Step had accomplished something almost as important for his immediate objective: Annihilation Trinity was gone. Aurelion remained alive, Noctis no longer controlled the battlefield through the execution sequence, and Malgoryth would not have to find a way out of a technique that could retarget him while he was already inside it.
The success lasted only as long as the recovery from Ghorvath's swing.
The axe had passed well beyond Malgoryth's center, leaving the haft extended while his shoulders and hips continued through the momentum generated during the attack. His left hand remained farther along the weapon and helped stabilize the heavy head while the right began pulling the haft back toward a usable guard. Even with god-level strength, the physical relationship between his body and Ghorvath prevented the weapon from returning instantly.
Genesis Step ended behind him.
Noctis had not used the displacement to escape or create distance. He chose a position behind Malgoryth, reversing the exact relationship the demon god had attempted to exploit and placing himself beside the exposed left side before Ghorvath could be recovered. The shortened blood-forged sword remained in his hand, and he did not waste the opening trying to rebuild the execution sequence that Malgoryth had just forced him to abandon.
Oblivion Rend gathered along the blade as an independent attack.
Malgoryth sensed Noctis behind him and began turning, shifting the right foot and hips while the shoulders tried to recover from the opposite rotation. Ghorvath remained too far forward to return in time, and the left arm moved first as Malgoryth tried to pull the weapon back across his body. Black-red reinforcement gathered around the exposed side and hardened over the armor, but the movement placed the upper arm directly across the path Noctis had already selected.
Oblivion Rend reached the rift defense before the blood-forged edge touched the armor. The black-red structure lost cohesion along the line of the cut, weakening the support beneath it and preventing the defensive power from distributing the force across the arm. Noctis continued through the opening before Malgoryth could reinforce it a second time.
The shortened sword entered the upper left arm above the elbow. The armor split where Oblivion Rend had already damaged its structure, and the blade continued through the flesh and god-level reinforcement beneath without losing the momentum required to finish the cut. Malgoryth turned farther as the weapon crossed the limb, but the movement came too late to pull the arm from the line.
The left arm separated completely.
The severed limb continued partway through the motion it had been performing around Ghorvath before losing contact with the axe. Black-red blood and unstable rift pressure escaped from the exposed upper arm as the weapon dropped toward Malgoryth's right side, suddenly deprived of the second hand that had been controlling its balance. Noctis allowed Oblivion Rend to complete the severing strike without forcing the same cut farther into the torso because Malgoryth was already turning and Ghorvath remained dangerous even with only one hand attached to the haft.
Malgoryth accepted the loss and used the movement instead of trying to resist it. His right hand tightened around Ghorvath, and the weight of the axe pulled the rest of his body through the rotation while rift pressure gathered around his legs and torso to accelerate the retreat. He created enough distance that Noctis could not simply extend the sword into the exposed ribs without entering the range of the weapon's returning path.
One of the Bloodfang Reapers changed direction and moved toward the missing-arm side. Malgoryth tried to intercept with Ghorvath, but the loss of the left hand altered the weapon's response immediately. The axe required more shoulder rotation to cross the same distance and continued moving farther than he intended once the right hand attempted to stop it. The Reaper curved away before contact, leaving Malgoryth to spend another moment controlling Ghorvath's recovery while he continued retreating.
Black-red pressure compressed around the severed upper-arm region and tightened across the wound. The bleeding slowed as the rift structure stabilized the exposed internal tissue enough to prevent further tearing during movement, though the arm itself remained on the battlefield and no attempt at regeneration began. Malgoryth created several more meters of distance before turning back toward Noctis with Ghorvath held entirely in his right hand.
Noctis did not pursue him farther. Malgoryth had lost an arm, but the demon god remained capable of fighting and Ghorvath itself had not been damaged. More importantly, the collapse of Trinity had released Aurelion from the pressure that had nearly killed him, and allowing the success of Oblivion Rend to draw too much attention toward Malgoryth would give the divine god more time to stabilize.
Aurelion had already begun using that time. The white-gold reinforcement around the exposed left boundary of his torso became denser now that Trinity no longer stripped it apart during formation, allowing him to seal several open divine channels and prevent the injury from progressing toward the core. He kept the missing structures absent and concentrated solely on stabilizing the parts of the body still present, using the surviving right side as the foundation for everything that remained functional.
Judicael received reinforcement simultaneously. The destroyed mirror structures did not return, the Bell network remained severed, and the Radiant Verdict channel stayed broken, but the divine pressure entering the surviving weapon could finally settle without being dismantled by Oblivion Rend and Divine Inversion. Aurelion strengthened the areas required to keep Judicael usable and ignored the damaged attachments that would consume too much power to restore during active combat.
The surviving right wing folded closer once enough support existed for him to stand without constant thrust. Sanctity still leaked from the injured root, but it no longer disappeared into Trinity immediately and could be drawn back into Aurelion's circulation more effectively. The damaged wrist remained under severe strain because Judicael still had to be carried by the same arm that had already endured much of the earlier battle, yet the disappearance of the execution field gave Aurelion enough freedom to begin changing how he handled the weapon.
He had also seen Malgoryth's betrayal. Ghorvath had approached as though the demon god intended to finish him, only to pass the killing line and turn toward Noctis instead. Aurelion did not know what information Malgoryth had received or what calculations followed it, but he understood the immediate consequence. The demon god had chosen to preserve him because Noctis had become the more important target.
Noctis reached the same conclusion from the opposite side. Genesis Step had saved him from Ghorvath completely, and Oblivion Rend had punished Malgoryth's attempt by taking the left arm, but the displacement had also ended Trinity at the moment Aurelion was closest to death. That consequence did not make the decision wrong. Maintaining the execution sequence while allowing a god weapon to strike through his back would have surrendered the entire battle for the sake of preserving a technique.
He did not attempt to reestablish Trinity immediately. The execution sequence required synchronization through the Genesis Halos and enough concentration to maintain its selected relationship, and beginning that process while both remaining gods had openly aligned their immediate hostility toward him would create another vulnerable interval. The battlefield no longer contained one target and one exempt participant. Both Aurelion and Malgoryth had to be treated as active enemies without relying on the structure Trinity had previously imposed.
The Genesis Halos remained outside the execution alignment while Aegis continued protecting Noctis. Genesis Vessel worked through the older damage beneath his armor, and the two Bloodfang Reapers widened their orbits until each could respond independently toward one opponent. The shortened sword remained in his right hand as the concentrated trace of Oblivion Rend faded from the blade after completing the severing strike.
Malgoryth shifted his grip farther along Ghorvath's haft and tested the balance with the right hand alone. His strength remained more than sufficient to lift and swing the axe, but the loss of the second grip changed how the weapon behaved whenever its weight moved away from the center of his body. Broad motions pulled harder through the right shoulder, stopping a swing required more effort, and reversing direction became slower because there was no left hand farther along the haft to control the weapon's momentum.
Rift pressure began tightening around the axe and part of the haft. Malgoryth used the external power as an improvised stabilizing structure, letting it resist unwanted rotation and support part of Ghorvath's weight during recovery. The adjustment did not replace the missing arm, but it immediately reduced some of the weapon's instability.
Noctis saw the adaptation and sent one Reaper toward the severed-arm side before Malgoryth could refine it further. The construct approached the left shoulder rather than Ghorvath, forcing Malgoryth to rotate his entire upper body because there was no longer a limb on that side capable of defending independently. He brought the axe across with one hand, but the movement started farther from the new balance point and required more rotation than the same defense would have needed before the injury.
The Reaper changed direction before contact.
Malgoryth tried to stop Ghorvath.
The axe continued several degrees farther before the rift pressure around the haft helped arrest the motion, leaving a longer recovery than the demon god had previously required. Noctis registered the delay while the Reaper returned toward the same exposed side.
Malgoryth answered the second approach with rift pressure instead of another broad swing. A compact black-red burst expanded from Ghorvath's head and forced the Reaper to curve away before reaching the shoulder. The response consumed power but allowed the weapon to remain close to Malgoryth's center, demonstrating that the missing arm created an exploitable weakness without making him incapable of defending it.
Aurelion began moving while Noctis tested Malgoryth. Without Trinity surrounding him, he could advance without sacrificing reinforcement merely by crossing the battlefield, and the surviving right wing opened far enough to offset the absent left side. Judicael stayed closer to his remaining torso than before, reducing the amount of leverage the damaged wrist had to provide until the last part of the approach.
The second Reaper shifted toward Judicael's lower guard as Aurelion entered range. He changed the weapon's angle with a compact movement rather than the broad rotations he had used while intact, keeping the shaft close to his surviving center and allowing the right wrist to remain within a shallower range. The blade-scepter then drove forward in a direct thrust.
Noctis moved through ordinary footwork first and brought the shortened sword against the side of Judicael instead of meeting the point. He guided the thrust away from his center while Aegis remained behind the physical defense, but Aurelion followed the deflection with the surviving wing and tried to carry the weapon into a second line. The missing left side prevented his body from rotating as freely as before, giving Noctis a clearer path toward the open flank.
He moved into that space immediately.
The Reaper threatened the widened seam at the same time, forcing Aurelion to bring Judicael across the surviving torso to protect both the weapon and the body behind it. The damaged right wrist twisted under the correction, and white-gold pressure brightened through the forearm and collarbone as Aurelion compensated. Noctis did not remain long enough to let the god weapon complete a counterattack and shifted away before the weapon could settle.
Malgoryth entered the exchange from the opposite side.
Ghorvath moved one-handed with rift pressure stabilizing the haft and axe head. The attack lacked the same control as the two-handed swing that had forced Noctis into Genesis Step, but the weight and god-level force remained dangerous enough that taking it directly would still be unnecessary. Noctis moved toward Aurelion rather than away from both gods, narrowing the space through which Malgoryth could continue the swing.
Aurelion's body entered the outer portion of Ghorvath's attack route.
Malgoryth shortened the swing to avoid carrying the axe into him, pulling back with the right hand while the rift structure around the weapon resisted the remaining rotation. The change reduced the force and lengthened the recovery enough for the Reaper assigned to Malgoryth to approach the severed-arm side again. Malgoryth had to rotate Ghorvath back toward the construct rather than continue pressuring Noctis.
Aurelion attempted to use the same interval with Judicael. The close spacing prevented a broad attack, so he shortened the weapon into another thrust while Noctis moved through the narrowing gap between the two larger weapons. The lack of coordination between Aurelion and Malgoryth gave Noctis room that a true alliance might have denied him, because neither could fully commit without accounting for where the other stood.
Genesis Step changed the geometry again before they could adjust.
Noctis disappeared from the space between them and reappeared near Aurelion's missing-left-side angle. The Reaper already assigned to the divine god attacked almost simultaneously, forcing Judicael across the remaining torso before Noctis had to commit the shortened sword. Aurelion intercepted the construct with the lower portion of the weapon and used the surviving wing to pull himself backward as Noctis entered behind it.
The movement carried Aurelion toward Malgoryth's space.
Malgoryth stepped away rather than allow the divine god's retreating body to interfere with the one-handed position he had established around Ghorvath. That movement created more distance between him and Noctis, allowing the vampire to redirect attention toward the demon god without remaining trapped between both weapons.
Genesis Step carried Noctis toward Malgoryth's left side.
The demon god had already begun anticipating that approach. Rift pressure flared over the severed shoulder and thickened around the vulnerable region before the shortened sword arrived, while Ghorvath began turning through a smaller one-handed motion. Noctis struck the outer rift structure rather than forcing himself deeper against a defense that had already been prepared.
The blade cut into the black-red protection without reaching far enough to reproduce the damage caused by Oblivion Rend. Noctis withdrew before Ghorvath completed its return, leaving Malgoryth to recognize that the missing-arm side remained a weakness he would have to reinforce continuously. The easy opening created by the first severing strike was already beginning to disappear as the demon god adapted.
Aurelion attacked during the withdrawal.
Judicael came forward from Noctis's right with another short thrust, reducing the rotation demanded from the damaged wrist and allowing Aurelion to attack sooner than he could with a broad swing. Noctis turned the shortened sword into the shaft, but the timing allowed enough of the physical force to reach Aegis that the defensive layer compressed and drove him backward several steps.
Aurelion followed.
His movement remained uneven because the left side could no longer balance the acceleration generated by the right wing, yet he had begun using that asymmetry instead of fighting it. Judicael stayed close to his surviving center, and the next thrust required less preparation than the attacks he had attempted while his body was intact.
Noctis shifted toward the missing side again.
Aurelion recognized the route and brought Judicael across himself before the Reaper could exploit the opening. The damaged wrist endured another cross-body correction while the surviving wing helped pull him away from the shortened sword's line. He withdrew rather than trying to hold the space and allowed the weapon to return to the compact position that had become easier to manage.
Malgoryth continued adapting at the same time. The rift pressure around Ghorvath tightened until it began acting like an external brace along the haft and axe head, reducing the tendency of the weapon to overrotate after one-handed swings. He tested a shorter lateral motion and used the black-red structure to help stop the weapon where the missing left hand would previously have controlled it.
The improvement was immediate.
Ghorvath still demanded more from the right shoulder and could not be redirected as freely as before, but the recovery became faster. Another test produced a cleaner return toward guard.
Noctis saw both enemies becoming more functional with every exchange. Aurelion was replacing broad two-sided movement with short Judicael thrusts, careful cross-body corrections, and controlled use of the remaining wing. Malgoryth was rebuilding Ghorvath's one-handed handling around rift stabilization. The injuries remained severe, but neither god intended to remain limited by the first mechanics of fighting with a newly damaged body.
Noctis increased the tempo before those adaptations could settle.
Both Reapers accelerated almost simultaneously. The construct assigned to Aurelion attacked the missing-left-side angle while the other pressured Malgoryth's severed shoulder, forcing each god to defend before initiating another combined attack. Aurelion brought Judicael across the surviving torso, and Malgoryth rotated Ghorvath through a short rift-assisted movement.
Noctis moved between those responses.
The shortened sword struck Judicael's outer reinforcement and forced another correction through Aurelion's damaged wrist before he changed direction toward Malgoryth. Genesis Step carried him outside Ghorvath's strongest line, and the sword came toward the left shoulder while the demon god was still recovering from the Reaper's approach.
Malgoryth rotated enough to place the reinforced armor and rift structure between the blade and the severed region. The defense held long enough for Ghorvath to return toward Noctis. He withdrew before the axe entered the line and allowed the Reaper to remain close enough to keep Malgoryth's attention divided.
Aurelion moved during the disengagement.
Judicael entered from Noctis's right again, forcing him to turn before he could continue pressing Malgoryth. Noctis angled the shortened sword across the weapon and redirected the point from his center, but Aurelion changed the thrust before the deflection fully completed. The blade-scepter swept toward Noctis's shoulder through a shorter motion that used the surviving right side rather than requiring the body to rotate broadly.
Aegis received part of the contact.
Noctis moved with the physical force instead of resisting it completely, allowing the impact to carry him toward the space between Aurelion and Malgoryth. Ghorvath began approaching from the opposite side, but Noctis continued changing the angle until Aurelion's body entered the route Malgoryth wanted to use.
Malgoryth shortened the attack.
Aurelion also stopped Judicael from continuing through the same space.
The simultaneous corrections opened a gap between the two weapons.
Noctis passed through it.
The Reapers crossed with him and changed positions around the outside, preventing either god from using the moment to settle into a stable formation. Aurelion ended closer to Malgoryth than before, while Noctis had moved beyond the line that would have placed him directly between them.
The character of the battle had changed completely with Trinity's collapse. Radiant Verdict was gone, the execution sequence was gone, and none of the remaining combatants could rely on the broad battlefield control that had dominated the preceding exchanges. Aurelion fought through short Judicael thrusts and controlled one-sided movement because most of his left half had been erased, while Malgoryth used rift-supported one-handed Ghorvath attacks because Oblivion Rend had taken the arm that once controlled the axe from the opposite end of the haft.
Noctis worked inside those limitations.
Genesis Step denied the two larger weapons a stable enclosure, the Reapers forced each god to protect the side most damaged by the battle, and the shortened sword allowed Noctis to operate inside ranges where either Judicael or Ghorvath required more room to generate full power. Every exchange gave him more information about how far Aurelion could rotate the surviving body and how much rift support Malgoryth needed before a one-handed Ghorvath swing could recover efficiently.
Aurelion still retained enough power to punish any mistake in that analysis. His next thrust came from much closer to his torso and required little warning compared with his earlier weapon movements, reaching Noctis before the Reaper could force another correction. Noctis brought the shortened sword against Judicael's shaft, but enough physical pressure passed through the contact to compress Aegis and push him sideways.
Aurelion continued forward.
The remaining wing opened to compensate for the missing side, and Judicael stayed near his center as he produced another compact attack. Noctis shifted toward the absent flank again, forcing Aurelion to pull the weapon across himself while the Reaper threatened the lower seam from another direction.
The wrist moved through the correction.
The right shoulder and collarbone absorbed the load.
Aurelion withdrew before the combined pressure could trap Judicael against the open side.
The divine god remained badly mutilated but had already turned the surviving half of his body into a workable fighting system rather than attempting to reproduce the movements of the body he had lost.
Malgoryth's adjustment continued in parallel. Rift pressure around Ghorvath increasingly carried the role of the missing left hand by resisting excess movement and helping return the weapon after shorter swings. The axe still lacked the same two-handed control, but every exchange reduced the recovery window Noctis could exploit.
The longer the battle continued at that pace, the less valuable the original injuries would become as immediate tactical openings.
Noctis pressed both before that happened.
The Reapers attacked simultaneously again, drawing Judicael across Aurelion's body while Ghorvath turned toward Malgoryth's severed side. Noctis used Genesis Step while both weapons were moving, disappearing from the space where their defenses expected him to remain.
Aurelion turned first.
Malgoryth followed.
Noctis reappeared beside Aurelion's absent flank.
The Reaper on that side was already returning toward Judicael's damaged lower guard, forcing Aurelion to bring the weapon down. Noctis struck the outer edge of the blade-scepter with the shortened sword and added another correction through the damaged wrist before the surviving wing pulled Aurelion away.
Malgoryth approached from the opposite side.
Noctis did not remain until Ghorvath arrived.
He changed direction and moved toward the demon god instead, allowing the Reaper assigned to Malgoryth to attack the severed shoulder first. Ghorvath intercepted through a short rift-assisted swing while Noctis entered from another line with the sword.
The black-red reinforcement over the missing-arm side received the blade.
Malgoryth stepped back and began recovering the axe.
Noctis withdrew before that return could become a counterattack.
Aurelion had already begun moving again.
The exchanges started feeding one another without developing into true coordination. Whenever Noctis pressured Malgoryth's missing arm, Aurelion tried to use the opening. Whenever Noctis turned toward Judicael, Malgoryth moved closer with Ghorvath. Genesis Step repeatedly changed the geometry before both weapons could converge on the same location, and the lack of trust between the two opponents prevented either from committing fully when the other occupied the same attack space.
Malgoryth attempted to solve the crowding problem by releasing a wider wave of rift pressure from Ghorvath. The black-red power expanded across the region instead of following a single weapon path, forcing Noctis to leave the strongest portion while also encouraging Aurelion to move away from the axe's immediate range. Genesis Step carried Noctis clear, and Aurelion used the opposite side of the opening to increase the distance between himself and the demon god.
The resulting separation favored both larger weapons.
Aurelion could establish Judicael's thrusting line without worrying about Ghorvath entering it, while Malgoryth gained enough space for broader one-handed movements supported by rift pressure. Noctis recognized the disadvantage before either opponent settled fully into the new positions.
He moved toward Aurelion first.
The divine god remained the more severely injured opponent despite his growing adaptation. Malgoryth had lost one arm, but the rest of his body remained intact and Ghorvath had suffered no structural damage, whereas Aurelion had lost most of an entire side while the remaining half still carried the injuries sustained before Trinity mutilated him. Removing Aurelion would also eliminate one of the two threats Malgoryth was trying to use against Noctis.
Genesis Step closed the distance before Aurelion could establish another comfortable thrusting rhythm. Noctis reappeared near the missing-left-side angle while the Reaper assigned to the divine god approached Judicael's lower guard from below. Aurelion brought the weapon across himself to protect both vulnerabilities, and Noctis struck the shaft at an angle rather than attacking the torso directly.
Judicael shifted.
The Reaper threatened the widened seam.
Aurelion pulled the weapon down.
Noctis changed the sword line and moved toward the exposed edge of the surviving torso.
The right wing opened sharply and dragged Aurelion backward before the blade reached him, leaking sanctity from the damaged root as the divine god escaped the follow-up. He stabilized through the right leg and immediately began rebuilding reinforcement around Judicael for another entry.
Malgoryth recognized why Noctis had chosen him.
Aurelion was not merely the easier opponent to kill. His survival gave Malgoryth a second god capable of forcing Noctis to divide attention, and losing him would leave the demon god alone against the vampire who had already severed his arm after reading the betrayal. The same calculation that had led Malgoryth to spare Aurelion now required him to prevent Noctis from finishing the divine god too quickly.
He accelerated toward the exchange.
Rift pressure stabilized Ghorvath around the adjusted one-handed grip, helping Malgoryth keep the axe closer to its new balance point as he approached. Noctis saw him coming but continued pressuring Aurelion long enough for the Reaper to force another lower-guard correction.
The shortened sword struck Judicael again.
Aurelion's damaged wrist shifted.
Malgoryth entered Ghorvath's effective range.
Genesis Step removed Noctis from the closing space before the axe could reach him.
Malgoryth arrived where Noctis had been standing and did not turn Ghorvath toward Aurelion. Aurelion likewise made no attempt to attack the demon god despite the proximity. Their behavior confirmed that neither considered the other the immediate target while Noctis remained active.
Noctis reappeared behind Malgoryth's missing-arm side.
The demon god had already learned to expect that route.
Rift pressure spread across the left shoulder before the attack arrived, and Ghorvath began turning through the improved one-handed recovery while Noctis sent the Reaper first. The construct struck the black-red defense and forced Malgoryth to reinforce it, allowing the shortened sword to enter behind it.
The blade cut into the same protective structure without reaching the severed wound.
Ghorvath's returning line approached.
Noctis withdrew.
Malgoryth had adapted enough that the original counterattack could no longer be repeated simply by appearing behind the same side.
Aurelion exploited Noctis's disengagement with another short Judicael thrust. The blade-scepter entered from the right before Noctis had completely separated from Malgoryth, and the shortened sword met the shaft at an angle that prevented the point from reaching his center. The heavier weapon still transferred enough force through the contact to compress Aegis and drive him backward.
Noctis allowed the impact to change his position.
Malgoryth moved in from the opposite side.
Rather than retreating directly away from both, Noctis shifted along a line that carried Aurelion's body and Judicael toward Ghorvath's approach. Malgoryth had to reduce the next swing to avoid striking the divine god, while Aurelion halted the continuation of his thrust before it entered the same space.
Noctis passed between the corrections.
The Reapers followed.
All three changed positions again.
The battle became increasingly dependent on those physical relationships rather than on large techniques. Aurelion could threaten Noctis with compact Judicael attacks but had difficulty covering the missing side without placing more stress through the damaged wrist. Malgoryth could still produce tremendous force through Ghorvath, but every large one-handed motion required rift assistance and created a recovery that the Reaper on his left could exploit.
Noctis kept forcing both limitations into the same exchanges.
A Reaper moved toward Malgoryth's severed shoulder as the other approached Aurelion's absent flank. Ghorvath turned. Judicael crossed the surviving torso. Noctis used Genesis Step at the moment both opponents committed to those corrections.
He vanished from the point where their attack lines had begun converging.
Judicael continued through the first part of its turn.
Ghorvath followed its own recovery.
Both gods had to alter their movements when Noctis disappeared because allowing either weapon to continue freely would bring it closer to the other.
Noctis reappeared beyond the space between them.
The shortened sword came up while both Reapers changed direction toward their respective targets. Aurelion tried to bring Judicael back through the damaged right wrist, and Malgoryth pulled Ghorvath toward guard with one hand and rift assistance.
Noctis moved toward the slower recovery before either could establish another attack, keeping the fight active while the injuries that had already cost both gods so much still limited how quickly they could answer him.
