The heavy door shut with a dull thud, sealing them off from the noise of the casino. Raven raised her hand and pressed her palm flat against the table. Lines of crimson chakra unfurled from her fingertips, spiraling outward across the wood, crawling up the walls, and etching themselves into the floor. The Uzumaki seal swelled until it consumed the entire chamber, humming faintly before settling into a dim glow. The air grew thick, every trace of sound and chakra outside cut away.
Tsunade's amber eyes followed the glow, her brow furrowing. "That's… a full isolation array. Only Kushina ever knew how to weave one of those."
Raven folded her hands together and leaned forward, her white hair falling across her shoulders. Her voice was quiet, steady, but weighted. "What really happened a year and a half ago… are you sure you want to know?"
Tsunade didn't hesitate. She squared her shoulders and set her jaw. "Raven, I can handle it. Just tell me."
Raven tilted her head slightly, her gaze unwavering. "I'm not so sure. Even when I was married to Minato, I heard the rumors. You drowned yourself in drink and gambling after losing Dan Katō… and after Nawaki's death."
The muscles in Tsunade's face tightened. She reached for her sake bottle but stopped, her hand curling into a fist on the table instead. "I may drink too much and gamble too often, but don't confuse that with weakness. I can take whatever truth you throw at me."
Raven studied her for a long moment, then let out a soft breath. "Fine. Then listen closely."
Her expression hardened, her voice taking on the weight of memory. "A year and a half ago, on the night of Naruto's birth, Obito Uchiha infiltrated Konoha. At the time, I had just given birth. My body was still weak. Minato had been drawn away to fight, leaving me vulnerable. That was when Obito came."
Tsunade's hands tightened around the empty sake cup, the ceramic creaking faintly.
"Using his Sharingan," Raven continued, her voice low, "he tore open the seal that kept the Nine-Tails inside me. The fox was ripped free and unleashed, rampaging through the village under Obito's control. I was helpless to stop it. Minato fought Obito and drove him back, but the entire thing had been a distraction. The goal was to kill me, kill Minato, and destroy Konoha."
The glow of the seal lit Raven's face in sharp lines as she leaned forward. "With no other choice, Minato used the Reaper Death Seal. He split the Nine-Tails in two—half of its chakra bound into Naruto, the other half sealed into the Shinigami along with his soul. He sacrificed everything to protect our son."
Tsunade's breath caught in her throat. She stared at Raven, the sake cup slipping from her fingers to clatter against the table. Her voice was rough when she finally spoke. "Obito Uchiha? He was supposed to be dead. He died in the last war. I saw his name carved into the stone."
Raven's eyes glowed faintly as she nodded. "That's what everyone believed. But he never died. It was all a façade. He's alive, and he's working from the shadows. The Nine-Tails attack was not an accident of fate—it was a move in a much larger game to weaken the nations."
The silence in the chamber deepened, pressing between them. Tsunade sat stiff, her amber eyes locked on Raven, though her mind seemed far away, caught between the memory of her brother and the man she loved, both taken from her in wars that never stopped claiming more.
Raven leaned closer, her tone sharpening. "I'm only beginning to gather the force I'll need to stop what's coming. But your help, Tsunade, would change everything."
Tsunade slowly exhaled through her nose, her lips pressed thin. "From what you're saying… there's some black hand manipulating all of this. And Obito is just another pawn."
"That's correct," Raven said firmly. "I won't say more for now. Not until you're ready. But that is the truth of what happened during the Nine-Tails attack."
