Chapter 88 - Chapter 88 Kryptonian Dahl

Dozens of light years away from the red dwarf star LHS2520, there is a mid-level battleship with the Kryptonian logo printed on it.

The battleship is called Journey, and it is one of the few remaining military battleships on Krypton.

Inside the central control room.

General Drew Zod, the former military leader of Krypton, sat in the captain's seat. On the virtual screen in front of him were two pictures sent by his subordinates.

One was a huge fortress that was sparkling with colorful light and seemed to be built with various crystals. The other was a girl wearing a Kryptonian combat uniform. She was about seventeen or eighteen years old, with long golden hair that was different from ordinary Kryptonians. She had a sweet face and tears in her eyes.

The Fortress of Solitude!

The eldest daughter of the El family, Kara Zor-El!

Zod gripped the handle tightly, veins popping out on the back of his hand, and endless ecstasy flashed in his eagle-like eyes.

"Finally found you."

"Fiora, fly to the station at full speed."

"Follow your orders, General!"

The battleship started up quickly, streaked across the starry sky like a stream of light, and then with a bang, entered the dimensional space.

It turned out that Luke's worries were unnecessary. Not long after, Linda came back, intact, and brought back a Krypton survivor.

She actually found it!

Luke was genuinely shocked. While secretly praising the girl for her good luck, he also became more alert.

Kryptonians are not easy to deal with. All those who appear in DC comics are super villains, such as Zod, Hale, Cyborg, and Doomsday, each one more difficult to deal with than the other.

I hope this survivor is not a freak.

Linda looked very excited, crying and laughing at the same time. The joy of reuniting with her tribesmen turned into tears that flowed like a spring. It was a long time before she remembered that there was another person on the spaceship.

"Forgot to introduce, this is Luke, my friend."

"Dar Morn, Kryptonian, Engineer."

Luke narrowed his eyes and looked at the other person inconspicuously. He had a crew cut and was very tall, about 1.9 meters tall, with long limbs and a strong body. He was about 35 years old and gave people a feeling of being tough.

This body type doesn't look like an engineer, but more like a boxer.

Luke was puzzled, but didn't think much about it. He said in his not-so-fluent Kryptonian language,

"Linda has been looking for survivors, and she is very happy that you showed up."

As soon as he opened his mouth, Dahl's expression became interesting, just like a Chinese listening to a foreigner speaking Chinese. The strange accent made his scalp tingle as an orthodox Kryptonian.

"You're not a Kryptonian?"

"Just because I'm Linda's friend doesn't mean I'm from Krypton."

Dahl frowned and turned to look at the girl, who quickly explained,

"Luke is a friend I made on Earth."

"Earth?"

Linda nodded. "It's a very beautiful planet with many interesting things: delicious food, beautiful scenery, and a variety of cultures. The intelligent race there looks just like us, so they must be descendants of the same species."

Dahl's mind moved, and he asked,

"Kal-El is on Earth too?"

"Don't mention that bastard, he's not a Kryptonian anymore."

Darl frowned, "He betrayed Krypton?"

"No, it's just that... the situation is very complicated and I can't explain it in a short time."

"It's okay. I have plenty of time. You can tell me slowly. I really want to know about Carl's situation. After all, he is Joe's son. As for Earth, I've never heard of a planet in the universe that is suitable for Kryptonians to survive. Where is it?"

"It's..."

Cough! Cough!

Luke coughed violently, and Linda suddenly woke up and smiled awkwardly.

"Let's eat first. There are many delicious foods brought from Earth on the spaceship.

You'll definitely like it."

"Okay, thank you then."

Dahl smiled and nodded, and a barely perceptible sharpness flashed in his eyes as he glanced at Luke.

Earth natives!

Judging from Kara's words, Earth is likely the place the general has been looking for to rebuild civilization.

In other words, this young native who looks very immature will become an extremely valuable source of intelligence and can provide the general with a lot of information related to the Earth.

Thinking of this, the smile on Dahl's face suddenly became more intense.

While chatting with Linda about hometown memories, he was trying to get close to Luke, and his words were full of friendliness and kindness. Although he tried very hard, he had an expressionless face and pretentious body movements, just like Zhang Fei embroidering or Black Whirlwind writing a diary.

How dare you show off such acting skills?

You're not even as good as the junior Wang Baoqiang. At least he can act out fake stupidity.

Luke was speechless, but Linda was completely oblivious and kept chattering away, almost revealing the Earth's coordinates several times.

The three of them came to the restaurant, and Linda cooked herself. Under Luke's expectant gaze, she spent an hour making a pot of brightly colored instant noodles.

Luke: "…"

Linda automatically ignored the ridicule from behind, poured a bowl of noodle soup and placed it in front of Dahl, and excitedly introduced it,

"This is a delicacy unique to Earth—instant ramen. Try it, it's delicious."

Instant ramen!

Luke held his chin up, "Interesting, the translation is instant pulled noodles, huh! Very appropriate, I wonder what kind of noodles the Kryptonians would pull out after eating it."

Thinking of this, his eyes immediately became sharp and looked straight at Dahl.

Under the joint pressure of the two, Dal had no way to refuse and could only take a deep breath and drink a sip of the colorful noodle soup.

The noodle soup poured into my esophagus, sticky and with an unbearable sour smell, like minced meat from rotten fish.

For no apparent reason, a drop of cold sweat slid down his forehead!

Dahl's complexion began to change, from yellow to red, and from red to purple. His expressionless and cold face forced out the expression package of the Oscar winner.

He raised his right hand and pointed at Linda, as if accusing the murderer.

His eyelids rolled up, he let out a wail, and fell to the ground with his head tilted back.

"I'll go!"

Luke's eyes widened. "What did you put in the soup, potassium cyanide?"

"No, absolutely not."

Linda panicked and explained helplessly,

"I just added a little bit of the various seasonings you brought. How did it turn out like this?"

Luke slapped his forehead. He brought thirty-four kinds of seasonings. If all thirty-four kinds of seasonings were put into one pot of soup, not only the Kryptonians, but even the people on Earth would not be able to bear it.

This guy is not cooking, he is making poison.

The two men helped Dahl up and carried him to the medical room.

After confirming that he was only poisoned and not in danger of life, Linda breathed a sigh of relief and was almost scared to death.

Luke shook his head helplessly and asked, "Are there any other survivors on the space station?"

"No, just him."

"Alone? In a nearly abandoned space station? Who will provide him with supplies?"

"I asked, but he didn't say."

"Is he on guard against you?"

Linda thought about it and nodded, "It's normal. After all, it's our first meeting."

Normal ass!

Luke complained in his heart, "Besides his name and identity, did he reveal anything else?"

"What do you mean? You doubt him?"

"I'm just trying to ensure my own safety and prevent any accidents from happening."

Linda waved her hand and said nonchalantly, "Your worries are totally unnecessary."

"Don't be so decisive, and don't be so self-righteous. Be careful not to step on dog shit when you go out."

The girl glared at him. This bad guy was getting more and more outrageous.

Luke shrugged, indicating his innocence, and after a few seconds of silence, he continued,

"Don't you find Dahl's story strange? He claims to be an engineer, but he has the body of a warrior. And the wounds of varying sizes on his body are clearly the result of prolonged combat."

"Don't tell me Kryptonian engineers are going to fight on the front lines."

Linda frowned. "That's just your guess. It doesn't mean anything."

"The suspicions have already surfaced. What we need to do now is to verify them. Once he wakes up, I'll thoroughly question him. I don't want my first space trip to be my last."

According to the comics, the survivors of Krypton are divided into four groups: Kara and Clark on Earth are one of them; the second is the city of Kandor, a collection of treasures owned by the action figure fanatic Brainiac, where many Kryptonians live; there is also the Phantom Zone prison where vicious criminals like General Zod are imprisoned, and colonial outposts scattered throughout the universe.

It would be fine if Darl was the lucky one who came back from the colonial outpost, but I'm afraid he came from the Phantom Prison, where the villains are more difficult to deal with than each other.

Linda felt that Luke's worries were unnecessary.

This is a lonely fortress. Without my orders, who would dare to hurt others?

As for Dal's abnormal behavior, it was most likely due to the psychological trauma left by being alone for a long time. She was like this when she first arrived on Earth, but she will be fine after a while.

Time passed quietly, and before I knew it, two hours had passed.

Dahl woke up from his coma, looked at the time, quickly sat up from the bed, and walked out without looking back.

After finding Linda, he did not accuse her of poisoning him, but said with a serious expression,

"Since you own the Fortress of Solitude, the things in the space station should be handed over to you."

"Something? What is it?"

"Presbyterian relics."

Linda's expression changed slightly. "You mean..."

Dahl shook his head, glanced at Luke, put on his combat uniform, and walked towards the hatch.

Linda felt uneasy and followed closely behind.

The Council of Elders is the power center of Krypton, in charge of many mysterious and terrifying things, the most important of which is the legendary key, which is said to connect to the origin of the universe.

The key played a crucial role in Krypton's development from a remote planet with scarce energy to an advanced civilization capable of influencing the entire universe.

Could the key be on the space station?

Thinking of this, the girl's heart rose to her throat and her pace quickened, almost parallel to Dahl.

Luke felt something was wrong and was about to speak out to stop them when a beam of light came down and the next second, the two of them disappeared.

He shook his fist and cursed angrily.

"This playful girl is more charm than cunning.."
