Chapter 198 - New Element Reactor

Stark Industries

During Stark's investigation, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Nick Fury came knocking.

Although he wasn't fond of the Agent's visiting method, he did get an important clue from Nick Fury.

Anton Vanko was not a scientist at Stark Industries, but like his father, he was once part of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It was just that some conflicts arose there, causing them to eventually part ways.

Although he didn't know much about his father, Stark knew one thing.

That is, his father, who had almost the same personality as him, possessed his own unique pride.

If it was truly their doing, they would openly admit it.

Just like he stood before numerous media outlets, informing the World that he was Iron Man.

After receiving these clues, Nick Fury also left him a box.

Inside the box was a blueprint for a reactor, and on the blueprint, he saw Anton Vanko's name.

This was the reactor design Ivan spoke of, which his father supposedly stole.

However, his father Howard's name was also clearly on it, which could only mean one thing: this reactor was designed by both of them.

The box also contained a television recording. It was left by his father, Howard Stark, before he passed away.

In the television footage, his father expressed helplessness regarding the era he was in.

The reactor they designed could not be manufactured due to the technological limitations of the time.

So he could only hope that Stark could manufacture it, believing this reactor would be his greatest masterpiece.

Watching his father's reluctance in the television footage, Stark could empathize with that feeling of helplessness.

Howard was a brilliant scientist; he could create Anti-Gravity Wings during a period of extremely backward technology.

Yet, he couldn't build a reactor, leaving his designed technology to remain only on paper.

He had experienced this feeling of helplessness at the hands of Terrorists.

The reactor left by his father, along with the exposition model behind him, drew Stark's particular attention during his father's explanation.

He knew his father must have had a profound intention, which is why Stark came here.

To check on the large model he had always kept in his office at Stark Industries.

This huge, sandbox-like model gave Stark a flash of inspiration.

"Jarvis, scan and fully expand this model."

As soon as he finished speaking, a blue beam quickly swept over the sandbox.

Before Stark, a huge virtual projection of an exposition formed.

Looking at the projection in front of him, Stark fell into deep thought.

This model looked like a new element, one that had never appeared in the periodic table.

"Emmm, light up the globe, then remove the streets, trees..."

Under Stark's command, fewer and fewer things remained in the virtual projection.

Eventually, only a few main buildings of the exposition and scattered streetlights remained, and Stark's thoughts gradually became clearer.

He combined all the buildings into the central globe, with the streetlights encircling it.

"Construct the buildings as neutrons and protons, and convert the streetlights into electrons."

With Jarvis's help, a highlighted new element appeared before Stark.

Zooming in on the element, Stark clearly saw its composition.

"You have discovered a new element, Master."

Jarvis's voice sounded, but then his tone shifted.

"But there is currently no reserve of this element."

Taking the element from the virtual projection in his hand, Stark smiled and said:

"If there's no reserve, we can create it. Many elements in the periodic table are artificially synthesized."

With that, he left the office; he needed to return to the laboratory to create this element.

In the laboratory

Stark toiled for a long time and finally synthesized the element.

He only needed to activate this element, and he would have completed the creation of the reactor's new element.

Although there were no longer any shrapnel fragments in his body, prolonged exposure to palladium would eventually lead to poisoning.

So, since there was a better alternative, Stark would naturally use it.

What's more, this was a gift his father left him, so he had even less reason to refuse.

He activated the laser channel, turning the laser's power to maximum.

The laser, originally just a beam of light, became extremely dangerous.

In the instant it swept across the cabinet, it cut the cabinet in half, and with a trail of sparks, the laser finally struck the new element.

The previously dim element was illuminated by the laser, emitting a faint blue glow, gradually becoming brilliant.

Upon seeing that bright blue light, Stark turned off the laser.

He picked up the new element with tweezers and placed it into the newly designed reactor, which then started operating continuously.

Watching the blue light burst forth from the reactor, Stark smiled with satisfaction.

The energy provided by the new element was far more powerful than that of the palladium reactor.

Moreover, it was a harmless, clean energy source. Although its manufacturing was particularly cumbersome, in the face of such powerful energy,

This cumbersome method was acceptable, at least he knew how to manufacture it.

He attached the new element reactor to his chest; now he no longer needed the slightly bulkier reactors from before.

Glancing at the new reactor on his chest, Stark walked towards the Iron Man Suit.

There were already more than a dozen Iron Man Suits laid out here; his speed in manufacturing the warframe was much faster than Andy's.

After some selection, Stark decided to choose the portable Iron Man Suit for equipping.

After flying for a while, Stark saw that the energy displayed in front of him was still very abundant.

This new element far exceeded Stark's imagination; even after flying for so long, there was no drop in energy whatsoever.

Stopping by the pool, Stark aimed his palm repulsor at the pool.

The repulsor fired at full power, emitting a yellow beam of light.

The Water in the pool was churned and splashed everywhere, and even the tiles in the pool were directly pulverized by the repulsor.

This lasted for about a few minutes, until Jarvis reminded him that the repulsor was about to overload.

Stark then stopped the attack, but in his energy display, the energy remained in its original state.

It seemed that the repulsor's attack just now had not consumed even a tiny bit of the reactor's energy.

Looking at the energy display, Stark smiled and shook his head, saying:

"He's been gone for over twenty years, and he's still teaching me things."

Stark was very satisfied with this reactor, and at the same time, he understood why his father considered the new element his life's work.

Just a small reactor had already reached such a level.

If Stark could produce large quantities of the new element, he would virtually control the World's electricity supply.

The energy supplied by a large reactor would be enough for an entire state's population to use electricity for all their production and daily life.

This new energy supply was far more cost-effective than other energy sources.

After a moment of reflection, Stark wanted to find someone to show off his newly created warframe.

After thinking for a long time, Stark could only think of Andy.

Only Andy's rhino could withstand the Iron Man Suit's attacks for a long time.

With a joyful mood, Stark soared into the night sky.

In the laboratory

After resting, Andy was now operating the manufacturing pod with full vigor.

Since the Anti-Gravity Wing had been unlocked, Andy definitely had to experience it.

After all, Andy had been looking forward to this thing for a long time, so if it could be manufactured, it definitely had to be manufactured.

The unlocked Anti-Gravity Wing was not like the hoverboard, which only had one type; the Anti-Gravity Wing had four types with completely different functions.

Since it was his first time using it, Andy did not choose the types with more prominent performance.

Instead, he chose the most balanced Odonata, an Anti-Gravity Wing named after a dragonfly.

Similar to warframe, the Anti-Gravity Wing also had different components and could not be manufactured all at once.

There was an outer casing that connected the warframe for flight, wings for Anti-Gravity flight, and a system that connected and controlled both.

This was almost identical to the warframe manufacturing process, the only difference being that:

The Anti-Gravity Wing needed to be connected to the warframe to be used; in normal circumstances, it could only be controlled by Audis.

However, this was also convenient for Andy, as the Anti-Gravity Wing could not always be connected to the warframe.

Audis could fully control the Anti-Gravity Wing, connecting to the warframe at any time to assist Andy.

Under Andy's control, all three components of the Anti-Gravity Wing had been manufactured.

Next, as long as they were combined, Andy could use the Anti-Gravity Wing for flight.

Controlling the robotic arm in the manufacturing pod, Andy slowly connected the system to the outer casing and wings.

As the three components combined, a complete wing appeared before Andy.

As long as the orokin battery was installed, the Anti-Gravity Wing could be officially used.

Just as Andy was installing the orokin battery, Stark landed on the laboratory balcony.

"Good evening, Master Stark."

As soon as Stark landed, he heard Audis's warm greeting.

The Iron Man Suit on him began to reverse, turning into a box in Stark's hand, and Stark asked:

"Hello, Audis, is Andy here?"

Stark could barely accept the change in Audis's emotions.

Although he wanted to know why Audis possessed such rich emotions, this was Andy's property after all, and even if he wanted to study it, he would need to get Andy's permission.

Moreover, Audis often teased Jarvis, which also led to a significant improvement in Jarvis's emotional module.

At least now Jarvis would crack some not-so-funny jokes with Stark.

"Yes, Master is currently manufacturing new equipment."

After explaining to Stark, Audis opened the door to the laboratory balcony.

Walking into the laboratory, Stark saw the floor covered with discarded blueprints.

He casually picked up one; it was a blueprint for a warship.

Stark then remembered that they were planning to build a Universe space station.

However, Stark was not worried about his progress; his task was to build engineering robots that could construct the space station.

This was not too difficult for him, it was just that the engineering robots were numerous and of different types.

This made his workload seem enormous, but in reality, he only needed to manufacture a few of each type of robot.

After the space station's framework was built, new robots could be manufactured directly within the space station.

Looking at Andy's blueprints, Stark was somewhat confused.

He looked at several more blueprints in succession, and Stark still saw similar designs within them.

Holding the blueprint in his hand, he walked towards Andy, who was manufacturing equipment.

After being notified by Audis, Andy already knew that Stark had entered.

After installing the final orokin battery and control module for the Anti-Gravity Wing, Andy looked at Stark.

"It's so late, what made you think of coming here?"

Stark shook the discarded blueprint in his hand, asking with a puzzled expression.

"We'll talk about this later. Explain to me, what are these two hatches in the blueprint for?"

These two hatches were clearly superfluous, and Andy's design confused Stark.

Glancing at the discarded blueprint in Stark's hand, Andy smiled and said, "These two are hangars for mining drones.

Our space station can't always rely on Earth's resources, so I designed two hangars to store mining drones.

They will go mine minerals in the asteroid belt for the construction of the space station."
