Chapter 84 - Understanding the Situation

Lao Hong sat in a chair in the conference room, holding a glass of Water, looking a bit uneasy.

He felt that this matter really shouldn't trouble Mr. Andy, the big boss, but he and his companions had no way to solve it.

As if he had made up his mind, Lao Hong looked up at Andy and said, "Mr. Andy, this matter really shouldn't trouble you.

My restaurant partner has a distant nephew who stowed away from China to come here and seek refuge with him."

He licked his lips and continued, "But when we went to pick him up, several people who looked like Vampires attacked him.

Fortunately, he had some martial arts skills, and although he sustained some injuries, he still managed to repel these people.

Fights happen! Injuries are common, and at first, none of us paid attention to these wounds.

Who knew that in the past few days, this child suddenly became weak all over and collapsed directly onto the bed, and when we asked him what was wrong, he didn't know either.

We suspect that the wounds left by those people became infected, and we also took him to see a Doctor.

But all the Doctors said his body was perfectly normal, and we had no other choice but to ask you for help.

You are the boss of Orokin Technology, so you must have a way to solve his problem."

After speaking, Lao Hong picked up the Water glass and drank it all in one gulp.

He needed to calm himself down.

In the past few days, that child had gone from a strong young man to a severely ill, bedridden patient.

He was afraid that this child would suddenly die in bed, having traveled thousands of miles from China to seek refuge with his old uncle.

If he died so easily in this place, he would truly die with his eyes wide open.

Hearing that he was attacked by Vampires, Andy frowned and pondered.

After the Hunter's Tavern was established, bounties for Vampires had always been posted in the Tavern.

With the Hell's Kitchen gang's money-hungry and reckless nature, the Vampires in New York should have been almost completely eliminated by now.

How could Vampires still appear and attack humans, and even several of them at once?

He swallowed the last bite of his hamburger and led Lao Hong into the laboratory.

"Come with me, was it this thing that attacked him?"

The laboratory floor opened, and a Vampire, caged, was pulled out by a mechanical arm.

The Vampire, suddenly pulled out, looked at the two with a bewildered expression.

He had been sleeping soundly in the darkroom, and then Andy suddenly chose him and pulled him out.

"Let me go, I don't want to die…"

The Vampire shrieked, begging Andy to spare his life. The Vampires who had been pulled out before were all used by Andy for experiments, and each one died without even a trace left.

He didn't want to die here; living in a cage was better than dying in the laboratory.

"Shut up! If you keep shouting, I'll really use you for experiments."

Staring at the Vampire, Andy coldly snorted. He still couldn't feel any fondness for this creature.

Looking at the Vampire in the mechanical arm, with its fangs and strong claws.

"That's right, that's exactly what attacked my nephew," Lao Hong nodded.

"That's the exact appearance, three of them appeared simultaneously and ganged up on him."

Andy tapped a few times on the instrument, and the Vampire was again put into the cage and returned to the darkroom.

The Vampires in the darkroom looked at the unharmed Vampire, somewhat puzzled if this one had changed his nature today?

They intensely discussed Andy's situation, while that Vampire entered hibernation again.

He didn't want to die here; instead of talking, it was better to sleep a little longer to conserve his body's energy consumption.

Watching the mechanical arm return the Vampire to the darkroom, Lao Hong looked at Andy in confusion.

"Mr. Andy, this is…?"

Andy smiled and said, "These are Vampires, and they are the ones who attacked your partner's nephew."

He thought for a moment and then said, "What is his name? Bring him over when you go back, and I'll treat him for free."

Upon receiving Andy's reply, Lao Hong excitedly responded, "His name is Zheng Shangqi. His father committed a crime and was executed by firing squad, and he himself was being hunted by people from the underworld, which is why he came to seek refuge with us."

With that, he eagerly grabbed his insulated bag and left Orokin Technology. With Andy's treatment, that kid Shang Qi would surely be bouncing back to life.

Zheng Shangqi? A very pure Chinese name.

Compared to the name his parents gave him, Zheng Shangqi's name immediately identified him as Chinese.

His Chinese name was Andy, and his English name was also Andy.

Sometimes even he didn't know if he still counted as a Chinese American.

Thinking about things, Andy suddenly felt a bit annoyed with his parents. The two of them were really too lazy.

They were both university Professors with a high level of education, so how could they give him such a name?

Especially his mother, as a pure Chinese American.

How could she just name him Andy when naming him?

And she even transliterated the name into the English Andy, what an irresponsible mother.

Suddenly, Andy remembered his mother's name, which was Anna, both in Chinese and English.

He seemed to understand something; it appeared that his family's irresponsible attitude towards names had a long history.

He shook his head with a smile; when he saw his mother again, he would definitely have a good talk about this.

Arriving at the training ground, Volt and Mag had been waiting there for a long time.

Andy chose to enter Volt first, as from the warframe's appearance, Mag was a female warframe, while Volt had a male appearance.

Volt's back closed, and Andy also became a superpower who controlled lightning.

He gently raised his right hand, and a pure energy electric shock projectile was fired, hitting a target that had been set up in the distance.

Current exploded on the target, and countless electric arcs were generated around the target.

All the surrounding targets were affected, and electric arcs bounced back and forth between the targets, lasting for more than ten seconds before disappearing from the targets.

Andy was very satisfied with this skill; electric light continuously flickered in his hand.

It shot towards the target, but this time the electric shock skill didn't turn into an electric shock projectile.

Instead, it transformed into a lightning chain made of electric current in Andy's hand, connecting all the targets together.

Visible electric arcs continuously jumped between the targets, forming a huge electric net.

The cost of doing this was high; in just a few seconds, half of the energy was consumed.

However, its effect was also extremely astonishing; the metal targets turned red, emitting bursts of heat.

Using several energy recovery orbs to replenish Volt's energy, Andy prepared to test the second skill.

The effect of this skill was extremely simple: just pure acceleration.

During the skill's duration, warframes around Volt would gain a significant speed boost.

After integrating the Amplification Crystal, this skill would provide a 65% speed bonus on top of the original speed.

In other words, if the warframe's movement speed was ten meters per second, then after using the acceleration skill, the warframe's speed would reach sixteen point five meters per second.

Moreover, this skill not only boosted movement speed but also affected attack speed and reload speed.

Although this skill had no offensive capabilities, its overall enhancement to the warframe was not to be underestimated.

Andy stood on the runway and activated the skill, covered in a layer of electricity as he ran forward.

Ten seconds later, the acceleration skill effect ended.

Audis reported the experimental data to Andy.

"According to the test, during Volt warframe's acceleration skill, you ran a total of 330 meters on the runway.

Based on the conversion, your movement speed was thirty-three meters per second."

Hearing Audis's report, Andy gasped in surprise.

What did running thirty-three meters per second mean?

That was a speed of 118.8 km/h, a speed that only a car traveling on a highway could achieve.

He hadn't expected the warframe's boost to be so immense; a single skill had elevated his speed to such a level.
