The Vampire in the Orokin Technology darkroom left Dr. Ethan in shock.
In his past decades, he had always regarded Vampires as a mythical legend.
Now, not only was he told that Vampires genuinely exist, but over a thousand Vampires were caged right before his eyes.
Over a thousand living Vampires, confined within these cramped cages.
Only one Vampire was different; he not only resided in a more spacious, enclosed cell but could also sit on a bed leisurely savoring coffee.
"He's also a Vampire, right? Why is his treatment different from the other Vampires?"
Pointing at the Vampire drinking coffee in the cell, Dr. Ethan asked with a puzzled expression.

Ethan, who had circled the Tavern, returned to the bar, saying excitedly, "It's decided! I'll stay here to conduct my research.
Don't forget your promise: I want to build an independent laboratory underground. The people here are truly too interesting."
Earlier, when he and Jessica were touring the Tavern, a burly man who had drunk too much and wanted to cause trouble was single-handedly picked up and thrown out of the Tavern by Jessica.
