"You've forgotten, haven't you?" she said. "We met at the banquet… four years ago, during the celebration. You were there ."
Rowan didn't answer immediately. He simply leaned back, letting her words sink in.
Whispers erupted across the classroom.
"So… they know each other?"
"Wait… is that true?"
"From the banquet four years ago? No way…"
Every student's mouth hung open, eyes wide with shock. Rowan and Velqira's unexpected connection had instantly made the entire room sit up and pay attention.
Even Daryl's scowl deepened.
What's going on… why does he know her?
Rowan, however, remained calm, letting the stir around him pass as he looked back at Velqira.
"Okay… fine," Rowan said quietly. "How do you even know who I am? It's been years. I've changed."
Velqira's gaze never left his face.
"We were very young back then," she said softly, her voice low enough that only he could hear. "But I could never forget those eyes. Those cold blue eyes… eyes that kill without mercy."
