There was a saying which goes like this, 'the truth is one of the hardest pills to swallow,' and that saying happen to capture the truth of the matter.
While hearing the truth is quite helpful, but at times, it just irks a person. No one really wants to hear it, especially when you have a guilty conscience.
And that was exactly the state that Felinda after blurting out that answer found herself in.
Before Sonia answered Felinda, she brought her to a small pavilion in the garden, for some shade. Once seated, she faced Felinda and started grilling her.
"I hope that when I ask you something, you will be very earnest with me. Can you do that?" without answering Felinda's question, Sonia started her own.
Felinda anxious and anticipating what to come, nodded her head in agreement, though her nervous heart was pounding like a dream.
