Chapter 101 - THE ONE SHE COULDN’T SAVE.

Four days later, Josephine held Adris in her arms, rocking him gently. The little boy was fast asleep, his head resting peacefully against her chest. The Velara family watched them quietly. Queen Eris stared at Josephine — at the way she held Adris, at the motherly tenderness in her eyes.

That same tenderness twisted something inside Eris' heart.

She stepped forward, trying to take Adris from Josephine's arms.

But when she felt how powerful Josephine was… the aura surrounding her… she paused, took a small step back, then walked slowly toward her.

"I have a request," Queen Eris said softly.

Josephine looked down at Adris in her arms and then nodded.

"Can you… please… bring my child back to life?" Eris whispered, voice breaking.

Josephine froze, staring at her.

Aradia walked in just then. "It's possible, Jojo," she said.

Josephine nodded slowly. She covered Adris with his warm blanket, kissed his forehead, and stood up. Soon, everyone gathered in the largest hall.

If I can bring Velara back… that means… I can bring Nana back, Josephine thought.

Her heart jumped. She clapped once and almost hopped with excitement.

Xavi, playing with Novara, heard Josephine's excited thoughts. He smiled brightly while tossing their giggling baby girl up and down. Novara giggled louder each time, tiny hands reaching for him.

Everyone watched as Josephine began to rise into the air.

The Nightmare Sovereign appeared beside her, floating. Josephine's eyes glowed dark red. She raised both hands.

A powerful clap of thunder tore through the sky, striking Velara's grave.

The earth trembled. The grave cracked open, revealing bones — a cold, lifeless skeleton.

Josephine's thunder magic wrapped around the remains, reshaping bones, rebuilding flesh. Her eyes shifted from red to a blinding, pure white.

The skeleton changed… filled… sculpted… and then—

She was whole.

She was alive.

"My baby…" Queen Eris whispered, tears spilling down her cheeks.

Velara slowly opened her eyes. She blinked at the faces around her. Her chest rose as she took her first breath in months. She touched her face, shocked.

"I am alive…" she said in a faint whisper.

Then she saw Josephine floating above — and fear shadowed her eyes.

She turned to her mother.

"Mom…?"

"My baby!" Queen Eris cried, pulling her into a tight embrace. "I missed you so, so much!"

Josephine slowly descended. Her feet touched the ground.

I did it… Now Nana… she thought, heart trembling.

Six hours later…

Velara sat with her reunited family. Adris stared into Velara's eyes with a strange calmness while holding his sleeping little brother.

Meanwhile, Josephine got dressed quickly and dashed downstairs. Xavi caught her immediately, wrapping his arms around her waist before she could escape.

Josephine kicked wildly in the air, trying to break free.

Kara grabbed her legs to stop her, voice trembling. "Josephine — Nana's soul has already crossed to the other side. She can't come back!"

But Josephine didn't hear a word.

She vanished.

Xavi matched her speed instantly.

She reached Nana's grave first — falling to her knees as she began the same resurrection spell. Her hands shook. Her voice cracked. Tears blurred her vision.

But nothing happened.

No light.

No thunder.

No spark.

Nothing.

Josephine collapsed forward, crying violently. The grief ripped out of her chest like a scream.

Xavi knelt and pulled her against him.

"It's okay, my love… I'm here," he murmured.

She clung to him desperately. He lifted her into his arms; her legs wrapped around his waist as she sobbed into his shoulder. Xavi sped back to the castle, holding her tightly.

As he stepped inside—

"All hail King Xavi!" Caius shouted.

"HAIL!" the guards echoed.

Xavi ignored the attention, taking Josephine straight to their chambers. He laid her gently on their bed, covering her up.

Down the hall, Adris held Novara while she slept. Velara walked in quietly.

"Adris…?" she whispered.

"Back from the dead?" he replied coldly.

Velara's eyes filled with tears. "I am… very, very sorry."

"Hm." He looked away. "Mom told me

everything. You're not my son by blood anymore."

Velara flinched.

"I… I know."

"And this—" he nodded at the sleeping baby girl — "your little sister?"

"Yeah," Adris said softly. "Novara. We call her Nova."

He kissed Nova's forehead gently.

"I forgive you for everything," Adris said at last, "but if you or your family EVER try to harm my mother…" His eyes glowed dangerously. "I will wipe them out."

Velara bowed quickly and left the room.

Across the castle…

Anya and Haillie were in their chambers. Anya was preparing a surprise for her wife. She stood in the center of the room wearing pink lace lingerie, cheeks burning red.

Haillie opened the door — and froze.

A slow, wolfish grin spread across her face as she whistled.

Anya's blush deepened. "H-Hey…"

Haillie swept her up in her arms with a hungry smile.

"Let's have some sweet fun, hm?" she whispered seductively.

Anya grew shy, but she leaned forward and kissed her wife first. Haillie smiled into the kiss as she hang Anya and brought her pussy closer to her face as she shove her mouth and deep her tongue inside Anya wet clit she moan softly and shyly too Haillie went faster making her adorable wife tremble

Back in their room, Xavi held Josephine for hours as she cried herself empty. Eventually, she fell asleep in his arms.

By morning, the entire household packed their belongings.

They were heading to Zephyria.
