Chapter 48 - The Queen of Zephyria and The Throne of Bones.

The night was alive with magic.

The great moon above the castle had turned purple — deep, glowing, almost alive — casting its light across the sky like a divine omen. The air shimmered faintly, as if the world itself were holding its breath.

Josephine stood at her balcony, her eyes fixed on the strange, luminous moon. Her pupils glowed red, reflecting its radiance. Her hair, dark and flowing, drifted weightlessly as a sudden wind swirled through the courtyard.

Below, Xavi and the others gathered, watching her in stunned silence. Lightning cracked through the heavens, a streak of silver and violet cutting the clouds apart.

"Jojo?" Hendrick called up, his voice trembling.

She didn't answer.

Instead, Josephine's body lifted slowly from the balcony floor — rising, weightless, surrounded by spirals of light. The winds howled louder. Her head turned toward them, her eyes burning crimson like twin suns.

"Josephine?" Xavi whispered, his voice tight with awe and fear.

As he stepped forward, a golden crown — the Crown of Zephyria — descended from the sky in a beam of light. It hovered above her before settling on her head, glowing with divine brilliance. At the same time, magnificent royal robes unfurled around her body — heavy, intricate, woven with gold threads and sigils of ancient power.

The ground trembled violently.

Everyone gasped and clung to each other as chandeliers shook and vases crashed. Sophia stumbled, and Hendrick rushed forward, catching her in his arms. Their eyes met — hers wide with fear, his soft with reassurance. He patted her head gently, holding her close.

"What's going on?" Oliver shouted over the noise.

"I don't know!" Kara answered, shielding her eyes from the blinding light.

Then, the ground split open.

Something massive began to rise from beneath — ancient stone grinding against stone. Dust and gold mist filled the air. Slowly, emerging from the depths, came a colossal throne — sculpted of shimmering bone, crowned with runes and wings.

Kara gasped. "The Throne of Bones…"

Everyone stared, frozen, as it rose until it stood towering before the castle steps — the Golden Throne of Zephyria, long buried and forgotten.

"Woah…" Xavi breathed.

Josephine, still glowing, descended from the air and floated toward the throne. Her eyes remained closed as if in a trance. She stepped forward, unshaken by the trembling earth, and sat gracefully upon the throne.

The moment she did, her eyes burst open — unleashing a blinding ray of golden light that lit up the entire kingdom. Her aura expanded outward, a wave of warmth and divine energy sweeping across the lands.

Every watcher — nobles, guards, and even guests from distant realms — dropped to their knees.

"By the stars…" King Azul whispered from the courtyard. "She's become one with Zephyria itself."

Adris, small and brave, stood watching his mother from the steps. He blinked up at her, clutching his little stuffed toy.

"Mama?" he said softly, taking a tiny step forward.

"Adris!" Xoni called sharply, alarmed.

But before Xavi could move, Josephine turned her gaze toward her son. With a gentle motion of her glowing eyes, she lifted him into the air. Adris floated up toward her, his laughter echoing through the hall.

The guardians appeared in beams of gold, kneeling as their voices thundered in unison:

"All hail the Queen of Zephyria!"

And all across the courtyard, the cry was taken up —

"HAIL! HAIL! HAIL!"

Kara stepped forward, tears shining in her eyes.

"You are now the Queen of Zephyria," she said softly. "It belongs to you, Your Majesty."

Josephine looked down at Adris, still floating before her. Her heart softened; her red eyes dimmed, returning to their calm, gentle hue. She reached out, pulling him into her arms.

Adris giggled and sucked his thumb as Josephine rose once more — this time flying upward into the glowing clouds.

"PAPA!!!" Adris shouted in delight.

Xavi stood below, hands in his pockets, smiling faintly as the wind swept through his hair.

High above the castle, Josephine spun gracefully through the air. Great black-golden wings unfurled from her back with a brilliant shimmer. An eagle's cry echoed through the heavens as she hovered in the starlit sky — radiant, powerful, and impossibly beautiful.

When she descended, the throne sank back into the earth, disappearing as if it had never been. She landed softly, still wearing her royal attire. Then she snapped her fingers, and the heavy robes shimmered away — replaced by an elegant gown that sparkled like starlight.

She turned toward Xavi, her eyes full of love. She was now eighteen — grown, crowned, and yet still his Josephine.

Kara smiled proudly and patted her head. Josephine grinned, looking around at everyone she loved.

The celebration was glorious.

The hall was filled with laughter, candlelight, and gifts stacked high. Josephine moved among her guests gracefully, thanking each person with a bright smile.

Xavi's gift, she noticed, was not on the table. He only smiled mysteriously when she asked.

Anesthesia stepped forward and handed her a long, wrapped package. Josephine tore it open to reveal twin silver blades — perfectly balanced, elegant, and deadly.

Her eyes widened with delight.

"Woah!" she gasped in her thoughts and Xavi heard her as she spinning one blade expertly.

"Whoa, whoa — Annie!" Oliver said, backing up. "Why would you give her something like that?"

"She likes it," Anesthesia said simply.

Josephine nodded eagerly. As a sign "I do!"

Everyone laughed, and even Xavi chuckled softly, watching her with pure admiration.

"She's made him smile more than anyone ever has," Kester whispered.

"Yeah," Agana replied. "She's good for him."

The Blood Reign Syndicate all murmured in agreement.

Later that night, Xavi took Josephine's hand and led her quietly up to the rooftop. The night air was cool, and the stars glimmered endlessly above them.

"Look," he whispered, pointing ahead.

On the rooftop garden, glowing flowers spelled her name — JOSEPHINE — each petal shining faintly under the purple moonlight.

Her breath caught. Aww… so sweet! she thought, smiling wide.

He stood there shyly, hands in his pockets. She turned toward him, touched by the gesture, and leaned in to kiss him. He froze for a second before wrapping his arms around her, pulling her close.

"Happy birthday, my Queen," he murmured against her ear.

Her eyes fluttered shut. The night breeze carried the scent of roses as they stood beneath the purple sky, hearts quiet and whole.

Elsewhere, in a quiet guest room, Hendrick opened the door softly.

Sophia stood by the mirror, wearing a soft romper, her hair cascading over her shoulders. She turned slightly when she sensed his gaze, startled.

"You look… as beautiful and sexy as ever, sweetheart," Hendrick said, leaning against the doorframe, his voice low, nostalgic.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, folding her arms.

He stepped closer, slow and deliberate, until the air between them was charged with memory. "Fixing what's been broken… maybe starting with us."

Sophia tried to look away, but when his hand reached up to cup her face, she froze. His touch was gentle — the kind she hadn't felt in years.

"Hendrick…" she whispered, her voice trembling.

He smiled softly. "I never stopped loving you, you know."

Their eyes met — a storm of regret and longing — and she finally let him pull her into his arms. The rest of the world fell away, leaving only the quiet rhythm of forgiveness and the long-awaited warmth of home Hendrick lifted he up in his arms as her legs were wrapped around his waist He ripped her buttons off and took her nipples into his mouth sucking her left boobs she held his head as her figure dug into his skin He unbuckle his pants and place her on the bed Sophia got on him and took his big cock inside she Hendrick held her hair into a ponytail and she began riding his dick slowly at first ~Hmm~ He said still Tight even all these years Hendrick said Nobody can ever replace you in my life sof he said again as she went faster he growled Sophia moan Rick….oh…Fuck! He said in a whisper tone Good Girl such a girl after all these years we should have fun more often he said with grin That if you can handle me she said as she kissed her wrapped her arms around him.

By morning, sunlight spilled across the castle once more.

Josephine stood by the grand gates, waving as her family prepared to depart. Everyone waved back, their hearts lighter after the night's miracles.

Xavi stood beside her, holding her hand. As the carriages rolled away, he sighed.

"Kara," he said quietly, "there's something I need to tell you — about a dream I had. About Josephine."

Kara turned, serious. "No matter what, Xavi — no fights, no arguments, and mind your words, okay?"

Oliver squeezed her hand and nodded.

Inside the castle, Adris sat by the window, yawning softly. Josephine fed him breakfast with a gentle smile, but his little face looked pale.

Sienna came in, placing her hand on his forehead. "He's caught a small cold," she said. "Give him a bit of blood and some lemon tea. That'll do."

Josephine nodded, quickly writing it down. She brewed the tea herself, stirred it gently, and fed him from her hands while humming softly.

Xavi sat on his throne in the main hall, going through case reports. Josephine approached quietly, setting a plate of food beside him. Their eyes met for a moment — calm, steady, and full of silent understanding.
