Chapter 256 - Chapter 254 Northrend's Strategic Layout

Yogg-Saron's worries were both right and wrong.

After he lost consciousness, he indeed did not wake up again. However, Gale did not yet have that ability; he only had one replica Infinite Gem, which was the Reality Gem.

Although the Soul Gem was also in hand, it still needed to be re-modified. Moreover, the energy on the Soul Gem was not yet comparable to the Reality Gem; a large amount of soul energy still needed to be collected.

Therefore, as long as Gale hadn't found other replica Infinite Gems, Yogg-Saron was still very safe.

"You did it! Champions!"

Freya praised them sincerely.

She, along with the other two Titan Guardians and Algalon, walked in.

Algalon was also amazed by their feat. "You have proven yourselves, mortals. You have given me confidence in protecting Azeroth. However, sealing one Yogg-Saron is not enough. Since Yogg-Saron could break free from its prison, the other Old Gods will probably also escape."

Freya reminded him, "This is our responsibility. You can't rely on others for everything."

Algalon spread his hands. "I know, Freya. If we were to re-originate the world, none of these would be a problem. The problem is that Gale fulfilled his promise, and I will abandon re-originating the world, so these issues must be resolved as soon as possible."

Hodir said, "We need more manpower."

Mimiron added, "Find Azadas and Leiden, especially Leiden; his power is what we need most right now."

Among the nine Titan Guardians, Odyn and Loken were commanders, Freya, Mimiron, and Azadas were support personnel. Leiden, Tyr, Torim, and Hodir were generals who charged into battle.

Odyn and Loken were gone, but Algalon could replace them.

Tyr and Torim were gone, so for now, they could only rely on Hodir alone in combat, making it imperative to find Leiden.

Gale said, "Everyone, since Ulduar has been recaptured, I must return to Nordrassil. Too many people sacrificed their lives this time, and I need to handle the aftermath."

Algalon thought for a moment. "Very well, we also need to reorganize Ulduar. Once things are stable, I will send people to Nordrassil."

"You are always welcome!"

Gale mounted Dubrakan's back and led the six-person team to find the main force.

Alexstrasza had already gathered the Red Dragons, carrying the bodies of the fallen Red Dragons, preparing to return to Dragonblight.

"Although Yogg-Saron is sealed, its minions are still rampant throughout Northrend. I need to return to Dragonblight to oversee things."

Gale replied, "I will have Rielly return to Dragonblight as soon as possible to fulfill his supervisory duties."

Alexstrasza smiled. "May our friendship last forever."

"May our friendship last forever!"

Alexstrasza departed with the Red Dragons, and Gale also gathered his army. Carrying the bodies of the fallen, he left Ulduar.

Gale had gained so much from this trip to Ulduar that he didn't even think about trying to get more from Ulduar.

Norgannon's soul fragment and the Reality Gem were already enough to satisfy Gale. A personal old man and a replica Infinite Gem could greatly enhance Gale's strength.

If the Titan Guardians could be considered deities, then Gale, though a mortal, possessed strength comparable to a deity.

The second gain was the Golem technology. While Sethonis's Golems still had much room for improvement, their strength was already not to be underestimated. Throwing Sea Monster Killers was enough to strike fear into most enemies on Azeroth.

The third gain was the Hall of Valor and its two affiliated armies, the Valkyries and the Valarjar.

The Valkyries were skilled in soul magic and could even resurrect players in the game. So Gale planned to train them to become real-life angel sisters, resurrecting adventurers and collecting unresurrectable souls.

The Valarjar had now been upgraded to Valarjar Dragon Knights, and their strength had greatly increased. Coupled with Nordrassil's Storm Dragon Knights, the Kaldorei Empire's air force had seen a massive improvement.

The fourth gain was the strongholds in Northrend and the alliances with various races in Storm Peaks. Although he decided to withdraw to Nordrassil, he would not abandon strongholds like Twin Peaks Fortress, Storm Temple, Eastmouth Camp, West Pass Camp, and Utgarde Keep.

Not only would he not abandon them, but Gale decided to build fortresses at the south, north, and east entrances of Crystal Song Forest, preemptively occupying these strategic passages. While defending against enemies, he would also limit the growth space of his allies.

The Kaldorei population would continue to grow, and he had to consider the future of the Kaldorei.

The Storm Temple would serve as the Valarjar Dragon Knights' garrison, manned by Heimdall. Their responsibility was reconnaissance, ideally to gather intelligence on enemies in Northrend, and to be wary of Yogg-Saron's minions and races hostile to the Kaldorei, such as Trolls and the Vrykul of the Dragon Rider Clan.

Heimdall was not proficient in governance, so Gale left Adal at Twin Peaks Fortress to oversee the defenses of Storm Peaks and liaise with the various races. Also stationed at Twin Peaks Fortress were some Valkyries, who were responsible for recruiting champions from various races to enter the Hall of Valor.

At the port of Eastmouth Camp, a ship would dock every few days, transporting goods to multiple strongholds in Northrend while also bringing the heroes recruited by the Valkyries back to the Hall of Valor.

The Lich Tirion was stationed at Eastmouth Camp, responsible for the defenses of Eastmouth Camp, the port, West Pass Camp, and the three newly established strongholds in Crystal Song Forest. For each stronghold, Gale would dispatch some Liches to follow Tirion's command.

The Kaldorei had a sparse population and temporarily didn't have enough people to guard these strongholds, so they could only use Liches for now.

Utgarde Keep was governed by Dex Yue Nu. Gale dispatched Felrich, the former quartermaster of Nathalas Academy, with a squad of Liches to garrison the keep and help Dex Yue Nu deal with any potential enemies.

Valkyries were also dispatched to these strongholds, as Gale urgently needed to replenish the number of heroes in the Hall of Valor.

After everything was arranged, Gale finally led his army back to Nordrassil.

The casualties of hundreds of people plunged Nordrassil into an atmosphere of sorrow. In some families, a child had just been born when the father died in battle.

Gale consulted with the families, allowing them to choose the fate of the deceased. Whether to become a sprite, roaming freely between heaven and earth, or to become a Lich, accompanying their families as they grew up.

Choosing the former meant the deceased would leave reality and be free from worries forever.

Choosing the latter offered the opportunity to accompany their families.

After dealing with the matters of the fallen, Gale finally had the chance to spend time with Tydasshid. Tydasshid could already speak and had shown extremely strong magical talent.

Maiev had asked Lunden to give Tydasshid an introduction to magic, but now that Gale was back, he personally took over this task.

The little one had exceptionally high talent; he shouldn't be led astray by Lunden.
