Chapter 182 - Chapter 182: The End of Azshara

King Gale personally killed Savis, not only for revenge, but also for another purpose.

He took out the devourer of gods, unsealed it, released the Soul Blade, and captured Savis's soul.

Although Savis was not a demigod-level powerhouse, he was an important chess piece of the Old Gods.

In the original history, Malfurion killed Savis by planting trees. However, the Old Gods attached Savis's soul to the tree, and within a thousand years, it triggered the Satyr War.

After finally winning the war, the new regime led by Malfurion, for some unknown reason, did not kill these Satyr, but instead sealed them beneath Shaladrassil, causing Savis to evolve into the Nightmare King.

For nearly ten thousand years afterward, Savis corrupted the Emerald Dream, forcing the Druids to enter the Emerald Dream to purify the corrupted areas. The Kaldorei had almost no significant development during these ten thousand years, and Malfurion was even framed by his student Fandral Staghelm, leaving him trapped in the Emerald Dream and unable to emerge.

After finally getting rid of Fandral Staghelm, Savis caused trouble again, leading to Ysera's death. When the Dragon Isles opened, Ysera had to return, and Malfurion ultimately sacrificed himself.

King Gale capturing Savis's soul was equivalent to solving this matter at its source. Without Savis, who knows if the Old Gods would have a headache.

Malfurion had no idea that King Gale had saved his life; instead, he was very displeased with King Gale's "kill-stealing" behavior.

King Gale didn't care about this; he closed the devourer of gods.

Dubrakan's soul was summoned out, King Gale rode on him, the eternal spear pointed at the Eternal Palace in mid-air, and then transformed into a rainbow, flying upwards.

Azshara was watching the battle below from the bridge. Seeing King Gale teleport up, she immediately waved the tidal scepter and attacked King Gale.

King Gale wielded the eternal spear, blocking Azshara's attack. Riding Dubrakan, with the eternal spear tucked under his armpit, he charged at Azshara like a knight.

Azshara immediately blinked to evade, but Dubrakan's speed was extremely fast, completing a turn with just a push of his four legs.

"Your Majesty!"

Vaschi and other loyal maids quickly blinked over, standing in front of Azshara.

King Gale didn't even blink; the eternal spear continuously pierced through the bodies of several maids. Then, with a shake of his hand, the eternal spear burst into raging flames, burning the maids' bodies to ashes, and continued to charge at Azshara.

With the obstruction of these maids, Azshara finally got a chance to cast a spell.

Frost Freeze!

A powerful cold air rushed towards King Gale; the air seemed to be freezing.

King Gale, however, was unfazed; he released all the Holy Light within his body. The powerful Holy Light immediately broke through the cold air, preventing it from causing any harm or effect to his body.

A golden shield surrounded King Gale's body. This was a Holy Light spell created by King Gale based on the casting principle of a mana shield—Divine Shield!

Azshara was stunned. This was already her strongest move, so why did it have no effect on King Gale?

If King Gale had used Aggramar's Shield for defense, she would have found it understandable. But King Gale had only used his newly forged spear artifact, and it rendered her spell ineffective; she couldn't understand it no matter what.

King Gale sneered: There's nothing to not understand. The eternal spear also contains the Holy Light divine power of Aggramar's Shield. Driving Holy Light energy with Holy Light divine power can defend against most damage in this world. Unless Sargeras acts personally, otherwise, only the Old Gods and the other two titans of the Burning Legion might be able to break the Divine Shield he researched.

Dubrakan charged towards Azshara, and the eternal spear was about to stab Azshara.

At this moment, Vaschi blinked over, blocking in front of Azshara.

The eternal spear pierced through her body, King Gale frowned slightly, and said coldly: "As stubborn as your mother."

Vaschi glared at King Gale, "You killed my mother, I will stop you even if I die..."

"Daydreaming!"

King Gale was too lazy to get angry; the eternal spear once again ignited with flames, burning her to ashes.

Azshara took the opportunity to blink away, watching King Gale in terror from a distance. Clearly, she had already realized that King Gale was no longer someone she could deal with.

Thinking of this, she once again cast a blink to the edge of the bridge, then leaped down.

At this moment, the only one who could save her was the entity behind the portal.

In mid-air, she prepared to cast blink again.

However, just then, a rainbow appeared and landed on her, bringing her back to the high bridge.

Azshara's eyes widened, looking at King Gale who appeared before her.

King Gale scoffed, thrusting his spear forward, and the eternal spear pierced into her chest.

Azshara felt her life force constantly draining, her body growing weaker. She didn't want to die; she opened her mouth to beg King Gale: "King Gale, I know I was wrong, I will turn over a new leaf."

King Gale looked at her indifferently, "I already gave you a chance."

Saying that, King Gale opened his left hand, and the devourer of gods automatically flipped to a blank page. The Soul Blade floated up, plunged into Azshara's body, and pulled her soul into the pages.

King Gale closed the devourer of gods, resealing it.

Then he hoisted Azshara's body, walked to the edge of the high bridge, and threw her body off the bridge.

"Bang—"

The two warring sides stopped, and upon seeing Azshara's body, their expressions all changed.

The Satyr were disheartened; even Azshara, as strong as she was, was killed, so how could their fate be any better? Without thinking, they immediately scattered and fled.

The Kaldorei, however, had inexplicable expressions. Azshara had been queen for several millennia after all, and the Kaldorei still had feelings for her. However, they quickly composed themselves, as they served King Gale. Moreover, Azshara was the culprit of this war, and now that she was killed, they couldn't be happier!

"King Gale—"

"King Gale—"

"King Gale…"

The Kaldorei cheered loudly. Killing Azshara in a one-on-one battle significantly boosted the morale of the Kaldorei.

Only the Priests of the Sisterhood and the Moon Guard were a little confused: When did King Gale become king?

It was not their ignorance; the demons had blocked information from the resistance, and the Moon Guard only knew fragmented information, while the Priests knew absolutely nothing.

King Gale teleported down, raised the eternal spear high in front of all the Kaldorei, and pointed it at the portal: "Kaldorei, attack!"

Inside the portal, countless demons rushed out, attempting to intercept the Kaldorei army.

Metri and Lunden, holding the eye of aman'thul and the hammer of Kaz'goroth, swept across the demon army, instantly clearing them out.

At this, a hand stretched out from within the portal, blocking the attacks of the two pillars of creation. The demon army took the opportunity to once again pass through the portal and charge towards the Kaldorei army.

"It's this guy again!"

Lunden was filled with indignation; last time, it was also this large hand causing trouble, otherwise, this portal would have been closed long ago.
