Just as the assault team fell into disarray, a small Aeon suddenly appeared above the battlefield.
The moment he appeared, he was like a beacon in the dark night, attracting everyone's attention.
What was that?
The demons were full of questions; they had never seen such a creature before.
As they pondered, Aeon emitted a dazzling light. The Kaldorei, illuminated by the light, immediately recovered from their fear and mental control.
Even the Mages, whose souls were severely wounded, rallied again. Furthermore, a Soul Shield now protected them.
The demons were stunned, and before they could react, Draksa led the warriors in a charge, reaching the Destructive Witches in the blink of an eye and attacking them.
The Destructive Witches were not only powerful Mages but also exceptionally skilled in combat. They wielded weapons in each of their six hands, spinning like a whirlwind, using centrifugal force to increase the damage of their weapons.
The warriors were caught off guard and quickly raised their shields to block, but they were repelled by the towering Destructive Witches and couldn't get close.
Only the formidable Draksa blocked the Destroyer Witch's weapons with his shield and plunged his UmbraEdge into her body. The Shadow energy from the UmbraEdge pierced through the Destroyer Witch's body, severely wounding her.
Navoli led the melee Rangers to entangle the Satyr, but these demonized Mages easily shook them off. However, a barrage of fireballs then rained down, preventing them from counterattacking.
The Satyr flashed away, raising their shields to block the incessant arrows. Dealing with the Kaldorei's attacks was much easier for them.
Having dealt with all the attacks, the Satyr began to retaliate with Shadow Bolts. A figure appeared behind them, stabbing a Satyr in the neck with a dagger.
The dark dagger easily tore through the Satyr's shield, taking his life.
The scream attracted the attention of the other Satyr, but by the time they turned around, they only saw the Satyr's corpse, the assailant having vanished.
Navoli and the others seized the opportunity to rush forward, finally engaging those Satyr.
The battle reached a stalemate; apart from a few commanders wielding artifacts, it was difficult for others to inflict damage on these demons.
Just then, Aeon struck again. He focused his attacks on the powerful Destructive Witches.
Countless roots erupted from the ground, instantly entangling the Destructive Witches, rendering them immobile.
The warriors seized the chance to swarm them, knocking the Destructive Witches to the ground. Then, ten to fifteen warriors ganged up on one Destroyer Witch.
The Destructive Witches immediately unleashed powerful magic, sending the warriors flying. The shields on the warriors shattered, but they themselves remained unharmed.
The warriors got up and charged at the Destructive Witches again. As they charged, Aeon once again cast a Soul Shield on them.
The Destructive Witches were furious; when had they ever suffered such an insult? Being surrounded by a group of weaker mortals, and they were utterly helpless.
The Witches mobilized the powerful magic within their bodies, intending to cast powerful spells to kill these mortals, who were like insects.
Green light flickered from Aeon, and the roots that the Destructive Witches had broken free from moved again. Their tips transformed into sharp wooden stakes, instantly impaling the Destructive Witches like porcupines.
Blood flowed from the wounds, and their magic found an outlet, no longer controlled by the Destructive Witches. The warriors seized the opportunity to attack, killing the Destructive Witches.
The Destructive Witches were killed one after another, gradually turning the tide of the battle. The Kaldorei's morale soared, and their combat strength continuously increased. Some warriors even gained experience, throwing their weapons when they were thrown back by the Witches, and the unprepared Witches were swiftly killed with a sword to the throat.
Antaria also focused her attention on assisting the Rangers. Protective spells were cast liberally, making the Satyr howl in frustration.
Their attention was already divided, and now they had to break through protective spells; this was too unfair.
A battlefield is not a duel; it does not concern itself with fairness. Any tactic that kills the enemy is a good tactic.
With the cooperation of the Rangers, Mages, and Karna, the number of Satyr also rapidly decreased. Soon, these cunning Mages could no longer hold out and flashed away from the battlefield.
The Destructive Witches despaired; after the Satyr retreated, they had even more enemies to deal with. They were already outmatched, and now they would die even faster.
Just then, several roars in Demonic echoed from both sides of the camp, rekindling their hope.
To await reinforcements, the Matron ordered: "Retreat to the river and defend using the Fel energy within the river."
The Destructive Witches immediately disengaged from battle, enduring a few blows from the warriors to teleport to the river.
The Witches absorbed the Fel energy from the river, strengthening their shields and making themselves invincible. With the powerful Fel shields, they were confident they could withstand the attacks of the strange powerful being in the sky.
What they didn't know was that the reinforcements they were counting on had already been intercepted by the Stone Giants and the Tauren.
The Stone Giants intercepted the tall Fear Guard, who had wings and could quickly enter the battlefield.
Unfortunately, they flew too low and were intercepted by the giant swords wielded by the Stone Giants. They were either crushed into meat paste by the greatswords or blown about by the powerful sword winds, falling from the sky.
Gaddana, while blocking the Fear Guard, warned the other Stone Giants: "Use all your strength, do not affect Gale's plan. Whether we can complete the mission given to us by the Titan depends on him."
The Stone Giants were very grateful to Gale; without Gale, they would have been annihilated long ago. Even without the Titan's mission, they would do their best to help Gale.
These Stone Giants fought as if invigorated, their greatswords weaving an impenetrable defense, giving the Fear Guard no opportunity whatsoever. With no other option, they chose to take a detour; although it would take longer, it was better than not being able to provide support at all.
On the other side, Huln Highmountain led the Tauren to intercept another demonic force: the Eredar Thugs.
These less talented Eredar had received infusions of Fel energy to serve as enforcers for the Legion. They did not take the Tauren seriously, charging straight through, intending to quickly kill them and then go to support the Destructive Witches.
However, before they could even get close, Huln Highmountain launched a counter-charge, his raised Eagle Spear seemingly enchanted with a one-hit kill, striking down one Eredar Thug after another, making them cry out in despair.
The Highmountain Tauren then charged in, running and swinging their spears, carving a bloody path through the demon ranks.
The once arrogant Eredar Thugs either died by their spears or under their charging hooves.
