Chapter 96 - Chapter 96 The Power of the Sun

Kana Darkwalker assassinated an elite hunter, which drew the attention of the other hunters.

Just as these hunters were preparing to attack, Kana suddenly vanished from their sight.

It wasn't Stealth! The hunters instantly made that judgment.

This greatly increased their vigilance.

But that wasn't enough to ensure their safety; two dark daggers reappeared, simultaneously piercing the necks of two elite hunters.

Kana expressionlessly flicked the blood from his Shadow Walker Blade and used Shadowstep to disappear again.

The elite hunters panicked; although they had long come to terms with life and death, this was their first time going from hunter to hunted.

Seeing this, Nasa and the others immediately launched a fierce assault.

The elite hunters were overwhelmed and quickly lost half their numbers.

They knew that if this continued, they would be completely annihilated, so, left with no other option, an elite hunter blew the horn hanging around his neck.

"Woo—"

The horn's sound was long but abruptly cut short.

Kana pulled out his dagger and calmly watched the hunter fall.

He curiously picked up the horn, feeling a power similar to that of the Shadow Walker Blade within its sound.

Divine power!

Just then, a bright light exploded in mid-air, falling upon everyone.

Kana subconsciously tried to use Shadowstep, but he couldn't activate it.

His expression changed drastically, "This light is problematic, let's go!"

Nasa and the others no longer cared about attacking the hunters; they all turned their Night Sabers and retreated towards Solidan Town.

With the tables turned, how could the hunters let them go?

"The great Father of Warm Winter has marked you; you cannot escape!"

They drew their javelins, quickly chanted incantations, and then hurled them at the Kaldorei.

The javelins flew incredibly fast, instantly piercing the Night Sabers and Kana's thigh, pinning them to the ground.

Nasa quickly prayed to Elune, activating a divine spell to block their subsequent attacks.

The other Night Saber riders ran to Kana's front, checking his injuries.

Kana was sweating profusely from the pain, but he gritted his teeth and swung his dagger to cut the javelin.

With the help of the girls, he lifted his thigh.

He took out a Regeneration Potion and poured it into the wound.

"There is a loa present in the Troll Army; we must report back as soon as possible."

He said, taking out his last two Regeneration Potions, "Use these to heal the Night Sabers, and you all send the intelligence back."

The girls hesitated, but Nasa supported Kana's decision, "Listen to him."

Only then did they take the Regeneration Potions, treated two Night Sabers, and sent two people back to Solidan Town.

The remaining girls turned to help Nasa defend against the hunters' attacks.

Seeing the few Kaldorei left behind, the hunters grew even happier.

Although they couldn't do anything to them for now, reinforcements would arrive soon, and then, outnumbered, these Kaldorei would surely die.

Indeed, not long after, a troll squad of over a hundred people arrived.

Seeing Nasa and the others trapped, they excitedly rushed over.

"Capture these Dark Trolls; the great Shim-Eba wants to punish them personally."

They quickly rushed to the outside of the divine spell barrier, continuously attacking to weaken its energy.

Nasa and the others barely held on, and soon they couldn't last any longer.

Just as the divine spell barrier was about to shatter, Smaug descended from the sky, spewing a breath of dragonfire onto the barrier.

The barrier dispersed the dragonfire, and all the trolls around the barrier suffered.

Smaug took the opportunity to dive, shattering the barrier, grabbing Nasa and the others, and quickly flying away from the scene.

"Buzz—"

A stream of flame, like a cannonball, shot out, striking Smaug and knocking him down.

Smaug howled in pain, but before landing, he flung Nasa and the others onto the dense tree canopy.

The group moved nimbly, grabbing branches as a cushion, and quickly jumped to the ground.

They ran to the Proto-Dragon, anxiously asking, "Smaug, how are you?"

Smaug cried out in sorrow; his wing was injured by the flame, and the wound was directly charred.

Blood continuously seeped out from within the charred flesh, clearly indicating a power was preventing the wound from healing.

"It's the loa's divine power," Kana said, "This divine power must be expelled, otherwise Smaug's injuries will become even more severe."

Nasa and the others quickly knelt and prayed, asking Elune to bestow divine power to purify Smaug's wound.

"Thump-thump—"

A series of slow footsteps gradually approached, and Kana vigilantly looked behind him.

He saw a deer as tall as a tree walk over, saying with a sneer, "You killed my children, and you still think you can escape?"

Kana frowned slightly; was this deer the trolls' loa?

He was indeed a bit strange, because according to his understanding, the trolls' loa were usually powerful beasts or monsters with special abilities, and a deer was neither a ferocious beast nor did it have any special abilities, so how could it become a loa?

However, since this deer had become a loa, it must have its extraordinary qualities.

It was just that Kana didn't understand when they had ever killed a deer.

Since the expedition began, they had not seen any deer.

Could it be that humans had hunted the deer?

Kana found the answer, but it offered no benefit to the current situation.

Shim-Eba slowly approached; he glanced at the praying girls, then fixed his gaze on Kana.

No, it should be on the dagger in Kana's hand.

"Is that Shadra's Spike?" Shim-Eba's voice carried doubt and disbelief, "You actually managed to kill Shadra?"

Kana's eyes darted, "That's right, if you don't want to die, then leave with your trolls as soon as possible."

Shim-Eba sneered, "Don't tell me you killed Shadra!"

"Of course not me! It was the master I serve.

He not only killed Shadra but also killed Nash and defeated Hakkar; loa are no match for him."

Kana boasted, just wanting to buy time and wait for Gale to arrive.

He knew that Gale might not have the strength to kill the deer loa, but he definitely had the ability to defend against the deer loa's attacks.

The immense power of Aggramar's Shield had spread throughout the entire Kaldorei Empire.

Although many said Gale was nothing like a mage, they all envied Gale for possessing Aggramar's Shield.

Shim-Eba: "Your master? Where is he?"

"He's in the human town ahead." Kana pointed at Smaug, "The dragon you just injured is his mount; when he comes, he will definitely kill you."

"Heh heh heh—"

Shim-Eba let out a strange laugh, "Is that so? I'd like to see how he kills me!"

"Then you wait! He can definitely kill you!" Kana continued to provoke.

Shim-Eba sneered, "I will wait, but you won't make it."

Saying that, he raised his front hoof and stomped towards Kana.

Kana quickly rolled, then rapidly used Shadowstep.

Just as he was about to disappear, a burst of light suddenly erupted from Shim-Eba, pulling him out of the shadows.

Shim-Eba: "Before my Sun Power, no shadow can exist."
