Stepping back into the café made me feel so much better. I could feel everyone looking at me as soon as I stepped inside.
But that could also be the fact that a bulky and huge alpha like Theo was begging me like a puppy and all over me.
"I am fine, Theo. I will take my place behind the counter now. You don't have to struggle alone."
I assured him, but Theo just looked worried for my sake.
One of the recent loyal omega customers coughed to get Theo to notice them, but the alpha ignored them all and stayed by my side.
It made me feel…a sense of superiority as he did that. A part of me wanted to yell and tell everyone that the tall alpha was mine and there was nothing anyone else could do about it.
But the majority of my brain reminded me why that would be such a foolish idea, and I gave up in the end.
"Go and serve our customers. And don't worry about me anymore. I will help you out so that you don't feel overwhelmed."
I assured Theo, but he still looked worried.
