In the room, Mito continuously stroked Kushina's head, wiping away her tears.

The image of Minato Namikaze flashed through Kushina's mind. She nodded slightly, understanding Mito's advice.
Mito had said these words many times before, but old people tend to repeat themselves, especially before they pass.

Mito looked at the people around her and her gaze landed on An Yan.
"Little An Yan, I'm entrusting Tsunade and Nawaki to you."
An Yan nodded. Tsunade tightly gripped his hand.
"Tobirama, let's begin."
Mito turned to Tobirama. He was also getting old, almost seventy now. She didn't know how many years he had left.
Tobirama nodded and looked at An Yan and the others.
The next moment, Homura, Hiruzen, Tobirama, and Danzo formed a massive red barrier around An Yan, Kushina, and Mito.
The Four Red Yang Formation, the jutsu used to trap the Ten-Tails in the original story, had originally been developed to contain the Nine-Tails.
The next moment, Mito released her own seal, and a crimson nine-tailed fox shot up into the sky.
It was a hundred meters tall, its presence awe-inspiring. The burning nine-tailed chakra turned the sky red. A ninja looked truly insignificant before it.
The Nine-Tails' crimson chakra hit the barrier but failed to break through. It roared in anger, "Konoha!"
In the next instant, the dying Mito's Adamantine Sealing Chains firmly restrained the Nine-Tails. An Yan stepped forward and began to perform the sealing jutsu.

"Teacher Tobirama, with Lady Mito's passing, I believe the new Jinchuriki should be hidden away until she has matured. For now, it would be best to hand her over to my Root. I will train her into a proper tool for Konoha."
Tobirama stared at him coldly, but Danzo did not back down. Mito's death had made him realize that Tobirama's generation of powerhouses was aging. It was time for his generation to protect Konoha, and a weapon like the Nine-Tails should be in his hands.
"Danzo, I don't recall ever teaching you to treat ninja as tools. Your current state of mind is very dangerous. Also, the current Hokage is Monkey. If you have any issues, take them up with him."
Tobirama felt that Danzo had been in the dark for too long and his thinking had become warped. Even if ninja were tools, that was not something to be said out loud. In a word, don't say anything that would harm unity.

Hiruzen fell silent. An Yan pursed his lips. Letting Hiruzen choose... the man is as soft as they come. It was as if Danzo had saved his life eight hundred times. If it were any other Hokage, Danzo would have been dealt with the moment he sent assassins after him. How could he have been allowed to cause so much trouble later on?
But wasn't Danzo usually very respectful of Tobirama? Why was he so rebellious today? Was it because he saw Mito die of old age and thought Tobirama was next?
An Yan looked at Tobirama's battle-ready face. There wasn't a single wrinkle. Was it the Senju's strong life force, or had he developed another forbidden jutsu?
If Orochimaru could develop the Living Corpse Reincarnation, it shouldn't be a problem for someone of Tobirama's caliber to create a similar life-extending jutsu.
