Washington, D.C. ~ December 30,9:16 EST ~
Outside of the Justice Hall, the League members are standing together with Superman is telling the press conference.
"These four heroes are promised to uphold the same value of the League. Here are the Atom, the Plasticman, Icon and the Green Arrow former prodigy, now Red Arrow."
With that the press conference is ended. The young team members are watching the news with interest. Suddenly, Robin got the new about the villain Cheshire is going with some briefcase to somewhere. Then all of them went to Mount Justice to chase after her.
When Justice League members arrived at the waiting room, there's is no one there.
"I don't think that they are so much fun waiting like a good kids." Icon said to Black Canary and Batman.
~ Smokey Mountains ~
"Are you sure she is going there?" Artemis asked with unsure tones.
"I don't know see for yourself. This is what I got from the security footage at Ash Valley airport." Robin then show the footage with blue screen.
When they are going through the mountains, they saw the destroyed private jet. All of them walked out of the Bioship and search for the survivors. Artemis asked with worried expression.
"Is she dead? What happened here?" Artemis whispered, eyes scanning the twisted metal with unease.
Before anyone could answer, Robin stiffened. His gauntlet buzzed, detecting energy spikes. He tapped the holographic screen. Red silhouettes flared into existence all around them—dozens of them.
"What happened," Robin said sharply, "is that we've been surrounded. Everyone, battle formation!"
The ground trembled.
With a grinding roar, towers of steel and stone erupted from the earth, locking into place around the clearing. A green barrier shimmered into existence, sealing them inside.
Figures stepped out from the shadows. Cheshire, her feline mask gleaming in the moonlight, blades drawn and ready. Beside her, the Riddler adjusted his bowler hat, smiling smugly. The Shimmer cracked her knuckles, Mammoth lumbered forward with a snarl, and Icicle Jr.'s breath frosted in the cold night air. Behind them, waves of faceless henchmen brandished weapons.
"Did you miss me? Perfect little rats, caught in a cage," Cheshire snarled, her eyes locking on Artemis. "Let's see how long you last."
"Team!" Aqualad's voice cut through the tension. "Engage!"
Superboy charged first, barreling through two henchmen with bone-crunching force. His fist collided with Mammoth's, the shockwave shattering nearby trees. The two titans grappled, growling like beasts.
Kid Flash became a blur, weaving between gunfire and swinging pipes, disarming thugs in seconds. His laughter echoed as he zigzagged across the battlefield. "Too slow, too slow, waaay too slow!"
Miss Martian lifted into the air, her telepathy unleashing a wave that sent a cluster of lackeys clutching their heads. She followed up with a telekinetic blast, scattering them like leaves in the wind.
Rocket conjured shimmering force fields, deflecting Icicle Jr.'s icy blasts. "Cold hands, warm defeat!" she shouted, slamming her constructs into him like battering rams.
Zatanna raised her hands, chanting swiftly: "!sdnalec sa hcnub a otni seirenehcl kcik"
The thugs suddenly found themselves tangled in a writhing mass of enchanted vines, their shouts muffled as the plants constricted tighter.
Artemis loosed a volley of trick arrows, explosive tips knocking Shimmer backward, while a net-arrow tangled another group of thugs. "Not so tough without backup, huh?" she taunted.
But at the center of it all—Robin and Ryotaro exchanged a quick glance.
"You ready?" Robin asked.
Ryotaro smirked, slipping the LostDriver onto his belt. "Always."
Both drew their Gaia Memories, the metallic cylinders gleaming in the green light of the barrier.
-Cyclone!
-Joker!
"Henshin" Ryotaro said.
At the exact moment, the strong winds are flowing and Ryotaro transform into the armor with two colors in each side. Kamen Rider W stood where Robin and Ryotaro had been, twin halves fused into one warrior.
The villains hesitated, some stumbling back.
"Let's show them, partner," Robin's voice echoed in the left side of W's mind.
"Right!" Ryotaro answered, his will surging through the right side.
""Now, let's count up your sins.""
Together, they charged.
The lackeys use the alien tech to stop them but Kamen Rider W defeat them easily with no hesitation. Mammoth then charge with strong collision force but W dodge in perfect movement and strike his legs with precision.
Icicle Jr. tried to freeze the Rider from behind, but Rider moves back and take some space and take out the two new memories.
"Ice huh...Let me show you something new."
-Heat!
-Metal!
The background sounds are playing with Kamen Rider W transform into new form. One side is burning red with flame and the other is shining with metallic color. Rider then take out the Metal Shaft from his back which appears with transformation.
Cheshire struck first, her blades sparking against W's Metal Shaft. But the Rider swung with devastating force, the Heat Memory igniting the weapon in flames. Cheshire flipped back just in time as the fiery strike cleaved the ground where she'd stood.
Rider then moves towards the Icicle Jr. who is firing the Icicle Sphere. He then jumping high and dodge in mid air with beautiful double flips and drive a blazing kick into Icicle's chest.
Shimmer hurled a wave of distortion energy, warping space itself. W countered by switching—Metal's silver metallic glow fading as Trigger's azure energy filled the armor. The Trigger Magnum formed in his hand, firing precise shots that destabilized her constructs, each impact crackling with controlled explosions.
"Nice aim," Robin's voice quipped.
"You too," Ryotaro replied, grinning beneath the helmet.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team pushed back hard.
Superboy finally slammed Mammoth into the dirt with a thunderous blow, leaving the brute dazed. Kid Flash zipped in, cuffing the villain's wrists before he could recover.
Rocket and Zatanna combined their powers, one slamming force constructs while the other enchanted them with explosive force. Icicle Jr. was thrown clear across the clearing, his ice cracking against Rocket's shield.
Miss Martian caught fleeing thugs in her telekinetic grip, pinning them to the ground. Artemis's arrows landed at their feet, exploding into binding cables.
One by one, the villains crumpled, groaning in defeat.
But when W's Trigger Magnum smoked and the last henchman fell, Cheshire was nowhere to be found.
"Damn," Artemis cursed, scanning the treeline. "She's gone."
Robin—now separate again from Ryotaro—lowered his mask's HUD, frustration on his face. "She covered her escape from the start."
Ryotaro dusted off his jacket, tucking the LostDriver away. "She's a professional. But at least we got the rest and the briefcase."
Superboy dragged Mammoth back toward the Bioship while Kid Flash herded the bound lackeys. Miss Martian hovered overhead, scanning for any hidden foes, but found none.
The wreckage of the battle smoldered quietly as the team regrouped.
"We won," Aqualad said firmly, his calm voice carrying weight. "And more importantly—we prevented their plans from advancing."
Ryotaro allowed himself a small grin. "One step at a time, right?"
Robin glanced at him, a flicker of respect in his eyes. "Yeah. One step."
But all of them knew the truth: Cheshire's escape meant the Light still had cards to play.
And somewhere far away, in the shadows, Vandal Savage was smiling.
