Chapter 50 - Confident Sakura Speaks Eloquently, Exuding Coolness

At this moment, Nizuko felt remorse.

It's astonishing that someone from the Uchiha clan, ranked first in his grade at the Ninja Academy, failed to gain a dominant position in this assessment.

Under normal circumstances, he should have obtained the two bells from Kakashi.

Then, he was met with the admiring gazes of Naruto and Sakura, who kept begging him to give up one of their bells.

Sasuke could only look troubled and suggested that Naruto and Sakura compete, with the winner receiving the bell, thus maintaining a fair and just attitude.

However, he knew very well that although Sakura was the top student in the humanities, she was ultimately just a weak woman and would definitely lose to Naruto in the end.

Sasuke naturally gave the remaining bells to Naruto, and from then on, the missions would be completed together by him and Naruto.

How wonderful it is to have one less annoying, infatuated woman!

But what about now?

Throughout the entire assessment, he only managed to spit out a powerful fireball and didn't perform any other feats.

Whether he can officially become a ninja is not up to him now, which is completely inconsistent with his character!

I should have been more proactive!

Now, he's competing with a woman for the sole right to pass; even if Naruto actually gives him the bell, he won't be happy.

Moreover, Sasuke wasn't confident that Naruto would choose him over Sakura.

After all, it's common knowledge that Sakura has already been designated as one of Naruto's own people; he's the third party!

"Have you thought it through, Naruto? Should we give the remaining bell to Sakura or Sasuke?" Kakashi smiled, his eyes narrowed, a smile that concealed a dagger.

Naruto really wanted to kill him at that moment!

Damn it, I didn't hit him hard enough. His left eye is swollen to the size of a salted duck egg, and he can still smile with his eyes squinted.

"Hey, Kakashi-sensei, this is just too much! What kind of teacher is this?!"

Sakura couldn't stand it anymore and pointed at Kakashi, criticizing him.

Kakashi spread his hands innocently and said, "But I'm not your teacher yet. Only those who pass the test are qualified to become my subordinates."

"Sakura, it's no use talking to him like that," Naruto stopped Sakura from continuing.

"Oh? It seems you've already made up your mind. Then feel free to say it. Since I've given you the power to decide, I certainly won't go back on my word." Kakashi was filled with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Human nature, sometimes, really can't withstand the test.

At this moment, Sasuke became even more nervous, his heart clenched, and he even forgot to breathe, staring intently at Naruto.

Although he lacked confidence, he was also unwilling to go back to the ninja academy to play house again.

In that case, let alone revenge, even the goal of revitalizing the Uchiha clan would be extremely difficult.

"Cough!" Naruto was almost startled by Sasuke's expression; his eyes were practically bulging out.

"Never mind, Sakura, you do it!" Naruto thought about it and decided not to take the spotlight.

He handed the two bells to Sakura, looking like he didn't understand anything, but simply left the decision to Sakura.

This is to avoid arousing Sasuke's jealousy and dragging in the feud between Indra and Ashura.

Sure enough, after Naruto made this decision, Sasuke suddenly relaxed.

"Hehe, really? Then I'll choose you! Don't regret it if I don't pick you!" Sakura suddenly got mischievous and looked at Naruto with a wicked smile.

She thought Naruto really didn't know the core of this test.

Unfortunately, even Sasuke, who was extremely nervous just moments before, was now indifferent, let alone Naruto, the transmigrator who had long since seen through everything.

Sakura found it boring and had no choice but to reveal the true purpose of the test.

"Actually, the answer that Kakashi-sensei really wants isn't to eliminate any one of the three of us, is it?"

"Normally, a full-strength ninja team consists of one captain and three members. But now Kakashi-sensei insists on eliminating one, and then they'll have to find someone else to join Team 7. What's the point?"

Sakura's two simple words immediately reminded Sasuke, who fell into deep thought, a look of understanding on his face.

Kakashi looked surprised; how could he have been seen through?

Sakura spoke eloquently: "Ever since Kakashi-sensei took out those two bells, I've been wondering, why do we have to eliminate someone? If that's the case, then what was the point of the initial class division in the classroom?"

"Although if only two out of the three can pass, I would prefer that it is Naruto and me who pass, but at the same time I do not want Sasuke to be eliminated."

"So I was thinking, how can we get all three of us through together, how can we divide the two bells into three equal parts?"

"I've tried several methods, but I can't guarantee that I'll get Kakashi-sensei's approval, because that's just playing clever tricks. In the end, one person will probably still have to be eliminated. Will Naruto and Sasuke argue about that?"

"Thinking about this, it suddenly dawned on me, and everything became clear. The reason Kakashi-sensei took out the two bells was a deliberate trap, designed to incite infighting among us!"

"Since that's the purpose, everything is easy to explain. Just think about it from the opposite perspective, and you can easily find the answer."

"What Kakashi-sensei really wants to test is our teamwork! You want to know if we can cooperate sincerely when facing a situation where only two out of three can pass."

"The question that follows is whether we can entrust our safety to our teammates during future missions."

"That's right, isn't it! Kakashisense~!"

At the end, Sakura playfully made a funny face, looking both smug and confident.

But then again, it makes sense. To be able to figure out so much in such a short time through his own thinking, he truly deserves to be the smartest person in the grade.

"Wow, Sakura-chan, you're so cool!" Naruto exclaimed, hugging Sakura and giving her a kiss. Then he muttered to himself, "I knew it a long time ago, but I just didn't say anything."

Kakashi glanced at Naruto speechlessly; his reaction didn't seem like he understood.

Sasuke, on the other hand, completely understood after hearing Sakura's words.

He's a little slow to realize things, but he's still teachable.

Regardless, the three of them did deliver a very impressive display of teamwork.

The reason they were able to get the bell later was not only because Kakashi was careless, but also because of the teamwork of the three of them.

In the final bonus question, the three of them did not fight over the two bells, which meant they had already passed all of Kakashi's tests perfectly.
