Chapter 128 - Chapter 122: The Rising of the Dragon Spear Hero

Chapter 122: The Rising of the Dragon Spear Hero

Over two months had passed since Ramiro emerged as one of the most prominent figures in the White Star Radiance. His name now echoed far beyond the battlefield—spoken with admiration, envy, and, increasingly, fear.

On five separate occasions, his heroic efforts had helped prevent tragedy. But it was during the fifth—the most harrowing yet—that a new wave of rumors spread like wildfire, fueled not just by admiration, but by what people witnessed.

That fateful day had begun in chaos.

Princess Helga was attempting her breakthrough into Gold Tier. Her aura, wild and unstable, pulsed with golden energy. It was a prime opportunity—and her enemies knew it.

Legions of assassins, demonic beasts, demons, and masked warriors stormed the battlefield in droves. Their timing was surgical, their intent murderous.

But they were met by the Leon Clan.

Ramiro stood at the frontlines, his presence defiant. Beside him: Carlos Jr., his eldest brother; and Carmelita, their sister. Around them, members of White Star Radiance, the Leon family, and various allied cultivators fought tooth and nail to hold the line.

Elton, Christy, and Zoro were elsewhere, tied up with their own missions. Their absence was sorely felt, but Ramiro and his family did not yield.

Enemies surged. Wounds multiplied. Blood soaked the battlefield.

But the line held.

And then it happened.

A blinding surge of light erupted from the secluded inner formation.

Helga had broken through.

From Silver Tier 5 to Gold Tier 1—and with power rivaling a Gold Tier 2 at that.

She stepped onto the battlefield like a phantom reaper, her Sword-Bow in hand, her sword and arrows slicing through the air like spectral blades. Her expression was colder than frost, her wrath undeniable.

Enemies fell in droves.

With the Princess no longer needing to be defended, the full strength of the Leon clan was finally unleashed.

Both Ramiro and Carlos Jr. surged forward using both skills.

—Lanza Ardiente—

(Burning Lance)

—Filo Carmesí Perpetuo—

(Perpetual Crimson Edge)

Their techniques burned through the battlefield, sending flaming bodies soaring, lighting up the chaos in a blaze of crimson and gold.

Then together—

—Corona del Dragón León—

(Crown of the Lion Dragon)

Their bodies ignited in a fusion of flame and lightning, and they charged, spear-first, through clustered enemy lines. It was devastation. The Lion's Spearhearts followed behind, unleashing techniques that smashed against their foes and turned the tide.

But even heroes can falter.

As Ramiro and Carlos Jr. finally began to lose momentum, more enemies attempted to overwhelm them.

Then—arrows struck.

Each shaped like miniature swords, they sliced through enemy ranks, impaling and scattering them in screams and confusion.

Princess Helga arrived, her power undeniable. She charged in, executing the weakened enemies as she cut them down with her sword with cold precision.

A retreat was called.

But Seralily did not allow it.

Her bloodlust ignited, she hunted them relentlessly. The Lion's Spearhearts followed her into the carnage, their eyes cold and focused.

Only Helga stayed behind—tending to Ramiro.

Her touch was gentle. Her gestures were… intimate. Reinforcements arrived to witness the scene, and the rumors became more solidified.

Now back to the present day just over a week after that entire battle took place. Various guest had arrived looking for opportunities.

"Sir Ramiro! I have long admired the Leon clan. You're a hero! Please, let me serve you!"

—A young knight-in-training, bowing reverently.

"Sir Ramiro, I would be honored to become your disciple! Your spear arts are unmatched!"

—Another voice, filled with fervor.

"Sir Ramiro," said a nobleman with a forced smile, "My daughter is… quite fond of you. Handsome, strong, noble. I understand you're engaged—but surely there's room for a concubine?"

—A father. A baronet.

"Hmph! My sister is 13, but she will grow into a beauty! She's entering the Bright Brilliant Blade Sect. She saw you fight… she doesn't even mind being a concubine if it's you."

—A newly titled Baron, proud and delusional.

Ramiro stared, eyes twitching beneath his White Star Radiance mask.

"…Hey. Why do you all think I'm that mythical, strong, righteous, dashing hero known as Ramiro Leon from the legendary Leon Clan, anyway?"

Silence.

Then…

"It's just a gut feeling, right?"

"That's right! A man like you radiates heroic light!"

"Sir Ramiro! Will you take me as a disciple?"

A young demi-human woman stepped forward. Lalana, tall and clad in loose fighting attire, bowed deeply.

"My tribe has suffered much, but I'm passionate about spear arts. You accept non-human women—I saw it myself. Please, let me follow you."

Ramiro sighed, rubbing his temples. Where did I go wrong…?

"Oi, segundo hermanito," teased Carmelita, smirking. "Thanks to you, I've had quite a few charming men asking for my hand! Oh nooo, what ever shall I do?"

"Fuck!" growled Carlos Jr., eyes twitching. "Nothing's changed for me! But you two…"

"Hmm? But you're engaged to that—"

"No! Callate con esas tonterías!! (Shut up with that nonsense!) I already told you—that woman has nothing to do with me!"

As their bickering echoed, Ramiro remained frozen, nodding politely at all who tried to throw themselves into his life.

And behind him…

"Don't worry, my hero," whispered Seralily, kneading his back muscles. "I'll help you pick the right ones. You don't need to worry at all."

He flinched. What right ones??! And did she just… lick my neck?!?!

A few days go by as White Star Radiance regrouped and traveled to a different location as they continued their mission.

"Whew! Got to hand it to you, Brother Ramiro," said Christy with an amused smile. "You've made things much easier with your exploits."

"…"

"Indeed! You and Princess Helga—what a duo!" said Joe-Pine, laughing.

"…"

"My apologies," said Erica with a soft nod. "I misjudged you before. Congrats to you both."

"No… this… I didn't—"

"I'm sorry we couldn't help during those harder moments," added Elton, placing a hand on Ramiro's shoulder. "We're nearly done with this part of the mission. Let's give it our all."

"Elton, I hear you, but—"

"Heh." a voice cut in.

Zoro.

"This idiot's actually useful. Why not give up the spear and focus on winning hearts? You'd make war easier for the rest of us."

"You bastard!! LET'S STEP OUTSIDE!!"

"Bring it on, you idiot!"

The ground quaked.

A new rumor spread shortly after:

An earthshaking duel had taken place between the Dragon Spear Hero and the Daoist Black Devil Blades.

The outcome? Unknown. But many swore Ramiro's attacks were fiercer than ever—as if fighting Zoro was even more terrifying than the enemies who had nearly taken his life.

And so…

The name Ramiro Leon—no longer just a rising hero—was now a political pivot, a romantic obsession, and a martial threat.

And thus another chapter of the Dragon Spear Hero and the Lion's Spearheart division was created as one of the leading pillars of White Star Radiance.
