The next morning, Anna slowly woke up, sunlight spilling softly across her bed.
She blinked a few times, stretched lazily, and let out a quiet yawn.
But the moment she sat up, something felt… off.
Wait... this was her room.
Didn't she faint right after the surgery yesterday? How on earth did she end up back home?
Before she could think it through, her phone began to ring. She reached for it and saw Fiona's name flashing on the screen.
"Hello?" Anna answered, her voice still drowsy.
"Anna, how are you feeling? Any discomfort?" Fiona's tone carried genuine concern.
"I'm fine," Anna replied, rubbing her sore eyes. "Just a little tired. I'll be okay after some rest."
"That's good to hear," Fiona said with relief. "By the way, Elder Mada's surgery was a success. She's recovering now and wants to see you in person to thank you."
Fiona explained that the old lady had just woken up and insisted on meeting Anna immediately, though Fiona had told her to rest first.
