Chapter 119 - Chapter 115

Senju Tobirama: This Uzumaki Brat Isn't Honest—A Beating Is Necessary!

"Makoto, I heard you killed the First Raikage. The Hidden Cloud Village has already paid an enormous price. It's time to bring this war to an end."

Tobirama's voice echoed in the hall, calm and righteous as always.

"Makoto," he continued, "the First Tsuchikage has sent envoys to contact me. He is a man who treasures peace. And Konoha, naturally, also values peace."

He paused, allowing his words to settle before dropping his next line with a faint smile.

"I trust that you—and your Akatsuki Ninja Village—must also love peace."

Then he began the performance.

"The First Tsuchikage said something very admirable. He claims that too many ninjas have died because of war, too much blood has been spilled between shinobi. Hatred only perpetuates hatred. Conflicts should be resolved through dialogue, negotiation, and understanding. This is what my elder brother, Senju Hashirama, envisioned when he created Konoha—to end the chaotic era of endless bloodshed and to uphold the Will of Fire."

Finally, he concluded with absolute solemnity:

"For the sake of peace in the ninja world, Konoha hopes your Akatsuki Village will take the greater good into consideration and end the war—unconditionally."

Tobirama's Beautiful Speech

Senju Tobirama delivered every line flawlessly.

The First Raikage was dead.

The Hidden Cloud Village had suffered losses beyond repair.

Thus, the war could end here—should end here.

The First Tsuchikage "loves peace."

Konoha "loves peace."

Even his elder brother—founder of the Village Hidden in the Leaves—"loves peace."

With such a perfect stack of moral righteousness, wasn't it obvious what Uchiha Makoto should choose?

Makoto's True Thoughts

Sly old ghost…

Makoto sneered inwardly.

Senju Tobirama—truly the master of political maneuvering.

The entire speech was carefully crafted. He hid himself behind the First Tsuchikage and Senju Hashirama, using two enormous political shields while retreating into the fog. A flawless non-stick pan—nothing could be blamed on him.

And worst of all—

The justification he used was downright pathetic!

The First Raikage was too weak, so he died. What does that have to do with me? I nearly died myself! I'm still lying in a hospital bed—even if most of these bandages are fake!

Yet Tobirama had the audacity to twist the narrative into some grand framework of "peace."

If Madara were here and heard this…

Makoto could almost imagine him activating his Mangekyo right then and there—

"Tobirama, for the sake of my little brother Izuna, I will pursue you tonight."

And that alone gave Makoto a headache.

Because the worst part?

He couldn't refute Tobirama's speech.

Political correctness combined with shameless excuse-making was the deadliest trap of all. Any rebuttal, no matter how logical, would be interpreted as "anti-peace," "warmongering," or "rebellious."

So Makoto simply threw the problem away.

Makoto's Counter

"Vortex Shinji," Makoto said with a calm smile, "the Uzumaki Clan is an official ally of the Akatsuki Ninja Village. Your clan also fought in this war. Why don't we hear your opinion first?"

As soon as he spoke, all eyes shifted to Shinji of the Uzumaki Clan.

Shinji's Mental Breakdown

"Eh—?"

Under countless expectant gazes, Shinji froze.

He really hadn't expected Makoto to toss such a sharp and politically dangerous question at him without warning.

Am I supposed to choose? Konoha or the Akatsuki Ninja Village?

But deep in his heart, the answer was obvious.

Of course he chose the Akatsuki.

After all—

The Uzumaki Clan had fought for nearly four months!

They shed blood.

They endured the relentless assaults from Hidden Cloud.

They contributed manpower, chakra, and even casualties.

The Cloud Village's first defensive line had fallen.

Their second line had collapsed.

The third was already one-third destroyed.

The First Raikage was killed by Uchiha Makoto.

Victory was right in front of them.

This was the moment to strike together—Akatsuki, the Uzumaki, and Konoha—to take the Hidden Cloud and reap the benefits!

And now?

Because Iwagakure suddenly appeared and said a few sweet-sounding words…

Everything ends unconditionally?

Is Konoha trying to stab us in the back?

Shinji Speaks

Finally, Shinji exhaled and spoke calmly:

"This is too childish. We've fought for so long—does the Hidden Cloud Village think they can end the war without paying any price?"

His tone was mild, but his stance was unmistakably firm.

Ending the war was acceptable.

Ending it without compensation was absolutely impossible.

The defeated have no right to demand conditions.

Makoto's Smile & Tobirama's Headache

"I agree," Makoto said, smiling brightly at Tobirama.

A smile so perfectly irritating that Tobirama almost wanted to hit him right then.

For a moment, the sharp-witted Second Hokage felt a rare headache.

He had overlooked the Uzumaki Clan's stance.

The Senju Clan and the Uzumaki Clan were tied through generations of friendship and bloodlines; he subconsciously assumed they would support Konoha's position by default. He hadn't even thought to notify Shinji beforehand.

But deep inside…

Tobirama held a subtle dissatisfaction toward the Uzumaki Clan.

Tobirama's Hidden Resentment

When Konoha was founded, the Senju Clan immediately invited the Uzumaki Clan to join as inner members. They extended the invitation not once, not twice, but three times.

Tobirama never considered granting such an honor to the Uchiha Clan.

If the Uzumaki Clan had agreed to join back then, even though they would be nominally listed after the Uchiha Clan, in reality they would rank ahead. They would become the second pillar of Konoha, sharing the core power with the Senju Clan.

Together, Senju and Uzumaki could control Konoha's central leadership, suppress the Uchiha, and maintain stability.

But the Uzumaki Clan declined.

They chose to build their own village—Uzushio.

And despite that, the Senju Clan still protected them, forming an immediate alliance.

However…

What did the Uzumaki Clan do in return?

They formed an alliance with the Akatsuki Ninja Village without ever informing Konoha, and even entered into a political marriage with Uchiha Makoto.

To Tobirama, this felt like betrayal.

Still, for the sake of Senju–Uzumaki relations and his sister-in-law Uzumaki Mito, he chose to turn a blind eye.

But then came Makoto's war.

If Uchiha Makoto wanted to go mad and assault the Hidden Cloud Village, fine—it was his own business. Why did the Uzumaki Clan have to jump in?

Tobirama had long hoped the Uzumaki would return home, lie low, and stay peaceful.

Yet Shinji had completely ignored all of that.

Damn it. What are these Uzumaki brats thinking?

The Meaning Behind Tobirama's Words

Although Tobirama hadn't notified Shinji beforehand, his message had been clear:

"Stay neutral. Stay out of the war. Go home."

But Shinji rejected that unspoken guidance.

He openly stood with Uchiha Makoto and the Akatsuki.

This wasn't merely a disagreement—it was outright disobedience.

If Shinji had chosen to support Konoha's proposal today, Konoha would never publicly praise him…

But behind the scenes?

The Uzumaki Clan might've received all kinds of benefits.

Instead, Shinji had chosen the Akatsuki.

Tobirama's Internal Monologue

Unbelievable. The Uzumaki Clan used to be so obedient. When did they become attached to this Uchiha brat instead of us?

He felt as if the Uzumaki Clan had been taken from him.

And Makoto's bright, provoking smile only deepened his frustration.

Makoto's Perspective

Makoto lowered his eyes, pretending to be calm.

But deep within, he felt like laughing.

He knew exactly what Shinji would say.

After all—

Don't underestimate the 3.68 billion bonds!

Makoto had too many ties, too much influence, and too much political weight. The Uzumaki Clan had benefited too much from him to back out now.

This was a web of politics, alliances, bloodshed, and shared benefit.

Tobirama thought the Uzumaki Clan still lived in the era of Senju–Uzumaki goodwill.

But that era was long gone.

The Scene Ends

Silence filled the room.

Konoha's diplomatic attempt to force an unconditional end to the war had met resistance.

The Uzumaki Clan had unexpectedly chosen the Akatsuki.

Tobirama's flawless political theater had been disrupted.

And Makoto?

He continued lying in bed, covered in ninety-percent-fake bandages, smiling like the world's most shameless villain.
