"Moisturiser, lip balm, toner, body wash, electric toothbrush, toothpaste... we really bought a lot of things."
Luo Shu looked at the small bag full of bottles and containers in his hand, his mouth twitching slightly.
These were just the small items - the bulkier purchases like bedding had already been loaded onto delivery trucks by the supermarket staff.
Since Sharon lacked so many daily necessities, Mahiru had gone ahead and bought quilts for all four seasons, along with several sets of casual clothes.
All these items would be delivered to the Hidden Management Department's base, where Luo Shu would need to move them down to the Hidden Management Zone before using the special spatial transfer system to transport them to the Sakura Apartments.
The reason for going through such complicated measures was to conceal Sharon's safe house at the Sakura Apartments.
Officially, Sharon would never appear at Sakura Apartments. Even if she resided in Room 201, she would only move within the room, physically eliminating any traces of her presence in the surrounding area to ensure the safe house remained completely secure.
Of course, the price of Sharon's security was Luo Shu's arduous task of transporting daily necessities.
At this thought, Luo Shu couldn't help but glance at Mahiru Shiina and Sharon walking ahead, inwardly grumbling:
'Honestly, this woman really spares no expense.'
After verbally renting Room 201 at Sakura Apartments from Mira Tsubakihara and obtaining the keys, she didn't even sign a contract or step inside.
Instead, she secretly infiltrated Room 201 at midnight using a light-refraction technique from the Holy Light System, spending points to connect one of its rooms to the room allocated to Sharon in the Astronomy Club.
Then, by leveraging the connection between Toyogasaki High School's club rooms and the Astronomy Club, she covertly transferred basic supplies.
All this was to ensure Room 201 had absolutely no visible ties to Sharon.
And this was just one of three such safe houses Sharon had set up, costing a total of 1,500 Points.
Sharon had truly taken the proverb 'the cunning rabbit has three burrows' to its extreme.
Given this, Luo Shu began considering whether he should also set up a few safe houses for himself.
Come to think of it, establishing safe houses was practically an occupational hazard for those on the mystic side.
Even Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue, who lived together, maintained six or seven safe houses and periodically switched organisations.
Compared to them, the Director of the Hidden Management Department was lagging behind.
"It's so nice that Miss Sharon has combination skin—not too oily or dry. You can use cosmetics that are gentler on the skin."
Mahiru Shiina openly envied Sharon's complexion. In fact, while testing cosmetics earlier, she had even touched Sharon's face to assess the texture.
Frankly, despite Mahiru's meticulous skincare routine, it still couldn't compare to Sharon's skin. And according to Sharon, she didn't even put much effort into maintaining it.
'It's frustrating when your rival's natural gifts are something no amount of money can buy.'
"Cosmetics can damage skin?"
Sharon, who lived in a completely different world from ordinary women, was baffled.
"Skin damage isn't the worst part—it can be repaired. The real nightmare is when cheap cosmetics cause facial hair growth."
Mahiru's expression darkened, as if recalling a traumatic experience.
No one was born skilled at makeup, and Mahiru's current proficiency in selecting cosmetics was clearly hard-earned.
As for the consequences of her practice... those were memories best left buried.
Sharon's face stiffened at this. Though she felt slightly guilty, a part of her was already considering whether to discard all the cosmetics Mahiru had picked out.
Facial hair growth was absolutely unacceptable!!
And wait—were normal urban girls in Japan really walking around every day with this stuff on their faces?
Sharon suddenly felt that women in this country might be a terrifying species...
Just as the two girls fell silent, Luo Shu, who was carrying bags and had become entirely the pack mule, suddenly reminded them:
"Speaking of which, Mahiru, you barely bought anything."
"Your shopping list had so many items, but it seems you only picked up a few condiments?"
Mahiru Shiina had an excellent habit of making a detailed shopping list in her notebook when purchasing daily necessities, which helped remind her of what to buy.
This was precisely why Mahiru had directly asked Sharon and Luo Shu for their shopping lists earlier.
"Ah, as for me, it's fine."
Mahiru waved her hand dismissively, speaking in a very relaxed tone:
"Although there were many things on the list, those are items I'll need after finding a place to live."
"Besides, today I mainly came to the supermarket to check the prices of these daily necessities. So even though I didn't buy much, I've actually achieved my goal."
Sharon didn't pay attention to anything Mahiru said earlier, only catching the key phrase:
"Finding a place to live?"
"Are you planning to move recently?"
Mahiru paused briefly at the question but quickly regained her composure:
"There have been such arrangements recently."
"Found any properties yet?" Sharon suddenly interjected.
Luo Shu immediately understood what Sharon was getting at and stayed quiet, letting the nun take the lead.
"...Not yet." Mahiru seemed slightly uncomfortable with Sharon's questioning.
"Is Nerima Ward within your consideration?" Sharon asked with a smile.
At this point, Mahiru suddenly guessed something and looked at Sharon curiously:
"Miss Sharon, are you perhaps inviting me to be your flatmate?"
"Not at all." Sharon shook her head. How could she possibly share accommodation with Mahiru? That safe house wasn't meant to have anyone visibly living there.
"I meant to say that the Sakura Apartments, where Luo Shu currently lives, most of the properties there are owned by someone you know quite well."
Hearing this, Mahiru immediately realised:
"Mira's properties?"
Now she understood Sharon's implication - suggesting she consider renting one of Mira Tsubakihara's properties?
This... actually seemed like a good idea.
After all, moving out was just her own decision. Her parents, who had come together due to family interests, might not interfere with her life but probably wouldn't approve of her plans either.
However, if she were to live in a property owned by Mira, their neighbour, the resistance might not be so strong.
With this thought, an idea surfaced in Mahiru's mind:
'Perhaps... it's worth trying?'
