[Auxiliary function Dream Simulation Chamber activated.]
[The Dream Simulation Chamber, established upon a fragment of omniscience, allows the host and Familia members to utilise existing points to deduce new Classes, assist in developing existing Class abilities, or fabricate enemies within dreams for combat testing. It is an essential function for Familia development.]
[This function was sealed during the Dawn Calendar XXXXX and has now been reactivated by the sole host, Luo Shu.]
Luo Shu stared at the information, somewhat bewildered:
"Dream Simulation Chamber? It can use existing points to deduce new Classes and abilities, and also fabricate enemies for combat?"
"This... Classes don't seem relevant to me right now, but ability development is slightly interesting."
Luo Shu now understood that the real beneficiaries of this Dream Simulation Chamber were weaker Familia members like Utaha and Eriri, who lacked Classes.
On one hand, it provided them a means to develop their own unique Classes. On the other hand, they could gain combat experience by battling fabricated enemies.
"Could it be that since Familia members advance to Demigods, the abilities given are Familia-related?"
"What about me?"
"My loyal servant, have you forgotten your esteemed master?"
The God's Servant remained silent, watching Luo Shu's message harassment without responding.
The Kabbalah Tree was originally sealed within the Divine Kingdom. Kurumi Tokisaki's awakened unique Class, Supreme Mother, was also remotely controlled by the system.
All Luo Shu truly expended was some verbal effort to persuade Kurumi Tokisaki into signing that contract.
Earning 100,000 Points from this already wasn't enough? Now he wants more benefits?
Utterly shameless.
Noticing the God's Servant's apparent disinterest, Luo Shu gave up when he realised no advantage could be gained.
Observing Kurumi Tokisaki nearing the end of her transformation, he stroked his chin:
"Tch, just earning some points and gaining a Kurumi feels slightly underwhelming!"
Before long, the thin layer of angelic wings enveloping Kurumi Tokisaki gradually dissipated.
In their place stood Kurumi Tokisaki, still clad in her striking black-and-red gothic dress, radiant with vitality.
Seeing her like this, Luo Shu couldn't help asking:
"How does becoming a Demigod feel?"
"It feels wonderful."
Kurumi Tokisaki glanced down at herself before raising her face to smile at Luo Shu:
"But Luo Shu-kun, no... Lord God, you've been quite dishonest."
"Keeping the ultimate secret of godhood to yourself... how untruthful of you..."
Hearing Kurumi's teasing tone, Luo Shu placed a hand on his hip and sighed helplessly:
"And so? What do you intend to do about it?"
"Hehe, I'll hold off on the punishment for now."
Kurumi laughed cheerfully, as if Luo Shu's resigned expression brought her great joy.
"For now, I need to adjust to this new body. Oh, and test my abilities too."
At this, Luo Shu tilted his head:
"Coincidentally, there's a perfect place for you to test them."
With a snap of his fingers, hazy white mist enveloped their surroundings. When it cleared, an endless plain stretched before them.
"This is the Dream Simulation Chamber - a space constructed within dreams, as the name suggests."
"Any injuries sustained in this space are illusory, and pain perception can also be adjusted."
As he spoke, Luo Shu granted Kurumi Tokisaki access to the Dream Simulation Chamber, then continued:
"Moreover, there's a function here for testing ability effects, which can conjure enemies out of thin air to help you trial new abilities."
"Well, verbal explanations might not be clear enough. Let me demonstrate for you."
With those words, Luo Shu addressed the Dream Simulation Chamber:
"Dream Spirit, I wish to conduct an ability test. Set the enemy as a Kurumi Tokisaki capable of unleashing her full power."
"Ara?" The real Kurumi Tokisaki blinked in surprise at these words.
But in the next moment, a swirling black mist materialised before Luo Shu, coalescing into the form of Kurumi Tokisaki.
This version of Kurumi, however, wore a cold, severe expression, her gaze sharp as blades. She lightly gripped the twin pistols manifested by the Time Emperor, her stance and demeanour resembling a battle-hardened warrior emerging from mountains of corpses and seas of blood—utterly devoid of the real Kurumi's characteristic coquettish charm.
[Test commencing in 3 seconds.]
The mechanical voice of the Dream Spirit announced.
[3, 2, 1!]
As the countdown reached '1', Luo Shu immediately focused, preparing to bestow elemental misfortune upon Kurumi from thin air.
Yet in that very instant, Kurumi vanished from his sight.
Luo Shu's pupils contracted as realisation dawned. He attempted to turn his head towards his rear.
At that moment, Kurumi Tokisaki, who had teleported behind Luo Shu through a spatial leap, coldly raised her long-barrelled flintlock pistol.
Crackle!!
Black-red lightning coiled around the long-barrelled flintlock.
Luo Shu barely managed to turn his head 15 degrees before the pistol struck his face from a distance.
In that instant, Luo Shu's consciousness vanished.
The last thing he saw was space cracking apart inch by inch, as if shattered by some force, alongside the erupting black-red lightning ravaging the surroundings.
Before death took him, a thought flashed through Luo Shu's mind:
'Since when did she have Conqueror's Haki infusion? This isn't the One Piece set!'
When his consciousness returned, Luo Shu stared at the dumbfounded Kurumi Tokisaki, recalling her brutally simple attack.
He couldn't help but touch his cheek, grimacing as if experiencing phantom pain:
"Well, the effect is exactly what you saw. By the way, what was that move you hit me with? The one with all the crackling lightning?"
"If you're the original, you should have that ability too, right?"
Kurumi Tokisaki gave Luo Shu a peculiar look before answering:
"According to the basic information the system implanted in my mind, that technique is called Concept Bestowal. Simply put, it attaches the essential concept of an Authority fragment to either the body or its extensions to directly impact the material world."
"There's also another technique that links willpower with Authority fragments to release conceptual mental shocks, creating large-scale psychic attacks."
Luo Shu's lips twitched: 'Damn, so it's Conqueror's Haki emission and infusion then?'
Meanwhile, Kurumi shot Luo Shu a slightly guilty glance:
"The implanted knowledge says these are basic Demigod techniques for clearing out non-Demigod trash... and for testing if enemies are Demigods. Essentially... their opening moves."
Having personally witnessed her superior being one-shot by what was essentially an anti-mob technique, even the usually playful Kurumi felt thoroughly bewildered.
Worried about Luo Shu's pride, she hastily added:
"Though they're basic Demigod techniques, because they involve the fundamental concepts of an authority, the resulting attacks are terrifying."
"For example, my Supreme Mother holds fragments of Space-Time Authority. So when I use Concept Bestowal, besides the black-red lightning from conceptual collisions, it also shatters space-time around the target."
"Even if enemies survive the initial conceptual impact, without equivalent conceptual resistance, the collapsing space-time around them would grind them into nothingness."
"So really, it's an incredibly powerful ability... not that you were being careless, Luo Shu-kun..."
Expressionless, Luo Shu responded:
"I see. Trash-clearing techniques then? Concept Bestowal? I'll remember that name."
Embarrassment aside, Luo Shu had gained a new appreciation for Demigod prowess.
A casual strike not only dealt conceptual damage but also created shockwaves from the collision between Demigod concepts and the material world.
The destructive potential was far beyond simple addition.
After all, Kurumi's earlier attack had merely been a conceptual collision as a side effect, yet it directly pierced through the Calamity Bringer's defences, killing him in one strike.
This didn't even count her true killing move—the devastating power of spacetime shattering.
And these were just basic techniques. To truly engage in an equal battle with Kurumi Tokisaki, one would also have to contend with her various temporal manipulations—the real deciding factor in combat.
'It's just like how in One Piece, all are ants before a Yonko's advanced Conqueror's Haki. The gap between a Demigod and those below is similarly vast, isn't it?'
Luo Shu pinched the bridge of his nose, then said to Kurumi Tokisaki:
"You test things yourself. I need to rest."
Seeing this, Kurumi Tokisaki blinked but said nothing, allowing Luo Shu to withdraw his consciousness and return to his main body.
Only after Luo Shu left did Kurumi mutter:
"Offending my superior right after joining? This is truly an unexpected development."
"Seems I'll need to prepare some little tricks to comfort Luo Shu's wounded pride."
