Chapter 259 - The Sealing is Complete

However, awakening the Eternal Mangekyō would have to wait for later.

What Ryōsuke needed to do now was release the Tailed Beast from within the Fourth Mizukage and transfer it into the Sealing Bottle.

With that thought, he deactivated his Mangekyō Sharingan.

His strained eyes finally felt a wave of relief.

Now, he needed to find a secluded spot where he wouldn't be disturbed to carry out his plan.

Ryōsuke scanned his surroundings and quickly spotted a cave; that would do perfectly.

Having teleported such a vast distance, it would likely take the Mist Village quite some time to search this far.

He carried the Fourth Mizukage on his back as he stepped into the cave.

Then, he laid the man gently on the ground.

Lifting the kage's clothing, he revealed the ring of sealing formulas on his abdomen.

He began to recall the knowledge of sealing techniques stored in his mind.

He soon deciphered the principles behind the seal placed on the Fourth Mizukage.

If he wanted to release the Tailed Beast's chakra without harming the Fourth Mizukage...

Then he couldn't be too aggressive with the extraction.

This was because the Tailed Beast's chakra was intertwined with the human's own chakra.

In the original series, the members of the Akatsuki showed absolutely no mercy to Jinchūriki.

They would extract the entire Tailed Beast's chakra all at once, which inevitably dragged the host's chakra along with it.

In most cases, it resulted in a total extraction.

And a human's chakra was essentially their life force.

Under such circumstances, there was no way a Jinchūriki could survive.

So, as long as he extracted the majority of the Tailed Beast's chakra while leaving a small portion within the host, there wouldn't be any issues.

Having finalized his plan, Ryōsuke got to work immediately.

Blue chakra condensed at the tips of his five fingers on his right hand.

He reached toward the seal on the Fourth Mizukage's body and gave it a sharp twist.

He began reversing the sealing formulas on the Fourth Mizukage's body.

Deep blue chakra began to flow from the Fourth Mizukage's abdomen.

This was the chakra of the Tailed Beast.

He then retrieved the Sealing Bottle from his system space.

He began to draw the escaping chakra into the vessel.

However, the amount of chakra flowing out was far too small.

At this rate, it would take an eternity to finish the absorption.

Left with no choice, he reached out again to adjust the seal, widening the opening slightly.

Ryōsuke intended to open the seal as far as possible.

This would release a greater volume of chakra.

Once the opening reached a certain size, the unconscious Fourth Mizukage's face began to contort in pain.

Ryōsuke knew he had reached the limit.

He narrowed the opening just a fraction until the Fourth Mizukage remained unconscious without any signs of agony on his face.

Following this pace, he continued to release the Tailed Beast's chakra and absorb it with the Sealing Bottle.

The process continued until noon the following day.

Ryōsuke finally felt that the Tailed Beast's chakra was nearly depleted, and a sense of satisfaction welled up within him.

It seemed he was almost finished.

Once this task was done, he could finally head back.

He might even stop near the harbor to sample some of the Land of Water's local specialties before leaving.

Those delicacies were truly delicious.

Meanwhile, not far from Ryōsuke's cave.

A middle-aged man with gray hair and an eye patch over his right eye was surveying the area.

His eye allowed him to see everything within a one-kilometer radius; whenever he spotted human chakra, he would investigate.

The person capable of capturing the Fourth Mizukage would surely possess an incredibly dense amount of chakra.

Unfortunately, after a full day and night of traveling and observing with his Byakugan, he had found nothing.

'Did that man in the black robe and white mask not use space-time ninjutsu to teleport in this direction?'

Or perhaps he had already left this area after teleporting, moving even further away.

He was even worried that the intruder might have used space-time ninjutsu multiple times in succession, which would be a true disaster.

The distance covered by two teleports would be immense.

They might have already reached the coast and left the country entirely.

Tracking someone across the sea would be fraught with difficulty.

If that were the case, the Mist Village would lose face completely—having their Fourth Mizukage abducted from within their own borders.

Despite his mounting worry and disappointment, he continued to use the Byakugan hidden beneath his eye patch to scan the surroundings.

Suddenly, he spotted a cluster of blue chakra alongside two other massive chakra signatures.

His heart leaped with joy.

This was the image formed by chakra within the Byakugan's vision.

It represented three living beings, though the two larger masses of blue chakra were somewhat terrifying.

He had only ever seen chakra signatures like this from Tailed Beasts.

If one of them represented the Three-Tails, and the weaker one was the Fourth Mizukage, then the remaining one had to be the person who abducted him.

'Such terrifying chakra,' Ao thought, taking a sharp breath.

He immediately pulled a signal flare from his pouch.

He launched it into the sky.

Several blue shells exploded in the air.

A massive cloud of smoke blanketed the sky.

Ao did not act recklessly after doing this.

Instead, he waited for his teammates to arrive as backup.

At the same time, he cautiously used his Byakugan to monitor the situation inside the cave.

He wouldn't let the enemy escape.

He just hoped his teammates would arrive quickly.

With their combined strength, even if they couldn't defeat the opponent, they could at least stall him until the main force arrived.

No matter how strong the enemy was, they would eventually be subdued when facing hundreds or even thousands of Mist ninjas.

A few years ago, he had heard of a powerhouse from the Uchiha Clan who had fought an entire village single-handedly.

But that person had been missing for a long time, and there hadn't been a conflict between the Mist and the Leaf in ages.

He doubted it was that man, but he couldn't help but wonder who this masked man in black truly was.

Why would he abduct the Fourth Mizukage?

Inside the cave, Uchiha Ryōsuke felt someone spying on him.

Given the ability to see through walls, it couldn't be anything other than the Hyūga Clan's Byakugan.

Even the Sharingan couldn't see through solid objects like that.

And in the Mist Village, there was only one Byakugan.

It had to be Ao.

'Since it's a Byakugan from the Hyūga family, it's only right that I reclaim it.'

'I can even earn a favor from the Hyūga.'

After all, that clan viewed their Kekkei Genkai as their most precious treasure.

And rightfully so.

The Byakugan was different from the Sharingan.

The Byakugan was essentially a map hack.

Its utility in war was simply too great.

However, sensing that gaze, Ryōsuke noticed the observer wasn't coming inside.

'What's going on?'

Regardless, it worked out for him. There was still a bit of time left for the Tailed Beast's seal. He would deal with that eyeball once the sealing was complete.

Not long after, when the Tailed Beast chakra flowing from the Fourth Mizukage's body became as thin as a thread, Ryōsuke decisively closed the seal.

Any more and it might actually kill the Fourth Mizukage.

It was safe to say that ninety-nine percent of the chakra had been extracted.

That was enough.

He capped the bottle.

'The quality of this bottle is truly excellent; once it's absorbed, it can't escape.'

He had initially been worried that the chakra might leak back out while the bottle was open.

If that happened, the whole sealing process would have been a waste of time.

Now, he had no such concerns.

As he tightened the cap, the chakra inside slowly coalesced into the form of a three-tailed turtle covered in spikes.

The beast was currently lashing out in rage, trying to ram its way out of the bottle, but it found the vessel immovable.

'Where has this cursed human put me?'

'This isn't a human body.'

'What kind of seal is this?'

It had been sealed in the Amber Purifying Pot before, but was this thing also a sealing container?

Seeing this, Ryōsuke calmly placed the item into his system space.

Now that the Tailed Beast was sealed, it was time to take care of Ao.

He slowly walked out of the cave.

By now, Ao was surrounded by over a dozen people—three Jōnin, while the rest were Chūnin.

Faced with the person inside the cave, Ao felt this was still nowhere near enough.

That massive chakra was simply too frightening.

How could someone possess such immense chakra? It was even stronger than that of Kisame, who had betrayed the village.

One had to remember that Kisame was a once-in-a-decade genius.

In terms of chakra volume, he was known as the Tailless Tailed Beast.

Suddenly, panic flared in Ao's heart.

One of the massive chakra signatures had vanished, leaving only a small one in the cave.

Meanwhile, the other massive chakra signature was slowly approaching them.

His expression turned grim.

"Everyone, on high alert! Enemy attack!"

Instantly, every Mist ninja's expression darkened.

They were about to face a formidable opponent.

A man capable of capturing the Fourth Mizukage, someone who could use space-time ninjutsu, and someone Ao described as terrifying.

Ao was an elite Jōnin; for him to react this way meant the threat was extreme.

Ao had even sent some weaker ninjas to other locations to fire more signal flares, hoping to summon stronger allies to deal with the person in the cave.
