Sebastian's foot stomped against the marble — precise, calculated — as he dashed out of Kairen's office.
He walked like a man resisting the urge to explode, shoulders drawn tight, eyes burning with something that hovered between fury and humiliation. How could he forget that Kairen was on leave?
Pathetic, he cursed inwardly — bitter, confused — but even that wasn't what really pissed him off.
"Mr. Generous," he sneered under his breath, sucking his teeth, "Mr. be-nice-and-cool-with-anyone-who's-not-your-son." His tone dripped contempt, each word a jab toward Victor.
Why did he even give that boy a leave? he asked himself, like he wasn't aware — like he hadn't been the cause of it.
"Tsk!"
That boy didn't deserve it. Cunning snake.
Sebastian's thoughts collided, clashing in his head like shards of glass. Was he angry that his father gave Kairen the leave, or that Kairen used what he did to get it?
