I was finally able to defeat the demonic Sentry, even without severing its head. As it seemed, I had misjudged the weakness of its core.
Whatever, I'm happy that victory was finally ours.
And thanks to the Sentry's last attack, I also sustained a terrible injury. When our blades collided against each other, I had been so intent on ending the Sentry's life that I wasn't able to protect my chest.
As I moved forward to pierce the Sentry's core, it also did the same and was able to affect my chest.

My sword lowered slowly, trembling from the force of what it had endured. I wiped the blood on my cheek with the back of my hand, and with reluctance, I collapsed.
"It's done," I whispered, my eyes flickering. "We… won."

Then, a chime distracted me and caused me to raise my eyes. A screen was hovering right above me, blurry too.
