Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Arius Squad

Saori picked up a rolled bandage and began to wrap Kasuka's injured head skillfully. The remains of the blood seeped itself into the cloth but that'll stop soon.

Being so close in proximity, Saori noticed the way Kasuka's eyes were fluttering.

"...Is she about to wake up?" Atsuko asked quietly.

"I think so. Be quiet for now, try not to scare her too much." Misaki said right beside her.

"..."

Flicker Flicker

Once again, Kasuka's halo flickered in and out of existence.

But it happened again, her halo disappeared and she was still unconscious.

Before there were any time for them to show their disappointment, Kasuka's halo shined brightly.

Saori looked towards the now exposed black orb currently scrutinizing her face.

"...Saori?"

"?"

"She knew the leader?" Misaki asked.

"Do you know her, Saori?" As Atsuko got closer towards the two in curiosity. Her eyes also meeting the two black orb.

"...!" Chills.

She's never seen eyes more empty than that.

Atsuko instinctively wanted to take a step back but caught herself before her foot landed.

Forcing out a smile, she said to Kasuka, "Good morning."

Kasuka, hearing Atsuko's voice, had her eyes widening slightly as a highlight appeared inside her eyes.

"...again." A small mutter escaped Atsuko's lips.

"Please say that again." The girl tried to sit up but then clenched her stomach in pain.

"Don't worry. There's nobody here to rush you, take your time." Saori gently patted Kasuka's back, rubbing up and down.

Kasuka clenched her teeth and exhaled.

After breathing in and out a couple more times, she seemed a lot more better than before.

"Feeling better?" Saori smiled towards the girl.

"...Yes."

"That's good, then." After she finished her sentence, Kasuka caught a glimpse of a white hair across the room.

"It's her..."

"What's wrong?"

Kasuka's eyes squinted slightly before she shook her head. "No, it's nothing. Did you save me?"

"Unfortunately, no. I didn't save you. I merely prevented the situation from escalating further than what you can handle."

"We should let her rest a little more, Leader. I don't think her head would be fine after such a heavy impact like that."

"I-it landed and... there was... a Bam! Bam! It-it was so.. loud... I would've died..." Hiyori mumbled to herself behind Misaki.

"You're right. Before that, can you tell me your name?"

Kasuka's eyes wandered amidst the mess that was the living room. Her gaze landed on each member of the still nonexistent Arius Squad.

Her first victim was Hiyori, the teal haired girl seemingly trying her best to delete the memory of a child being kicked into the ground away.

In Hiyori's head, the memory was vivid... and gruesome.

Then it landed on Misaki. The sharp expression on her face was hiding the pain that she's going through at every moment.

After that, her eyes landed on Atsuko, the Hime(Princess) of the Arius Squad. There was a soft smile pasted on that small face, less forced than before.

Then she moved her vision towards Saori, who was the closest. The unanimous leader of the squad.

It was proven after she heard Misaki calling Saori 'Leader' even though the Arius Squad haven't been formed as of yet... probably?

Her mouth opened slightly, but before she could say anything, she turned her head towards the white haired girl seemingly trying to hide from her.

Following her gaze, everyone's attention turned towards Azusa. Azusa flinched as she saw the black orb that was looking straight at her.

"Ah... I'm glad you're doing well..." Kasuka smiled before once again losing consciousness.

Her back landed on Saori's arms who had caught her in the middle of her fall. Once again, her halo was gone.

This caused some mixed reaction to appeared within the group.

"I guess that's that. The moment she saw you, Azusa, she sounded quite relieved." Atsuko said as she rubbed her forearm in a slight chill. 'Was it my imagination?'

"..." Quietly, Azusa got out of hiding and walked towards Kasuka. She stopped right as she was about to pass by Atsuko.

"...Thank you." Azusa bowed her head towards the unconscious girl. Without her help, she would've been the one taking on all the beating.

Although, it probably wouldn't have been worse than the brown haired girl since she didn't actively provoke the instructor.

...But it would've still hurt.

"Keep that gratitude until she could accept it herself. For now, I'll personally teach you a topic you'd want to learn." Saori said as she stood up after placing Kasuka's head gently on the pillow.

"Be nice to her, Leader." Misaki suddenly said.

"What? I've never been rude to any of you before though..."

"Mm, yeah, right." With a slight snort, Misaki turned around and left the living room into the kitchen.

"???" Confused, Saori turned to Atsuko to see if she knew what was going on.

"Hehe... No, it's nothing, Saori. Don't worry about it." The soft smile was everlasting on her face. Due to this, Saori's confusion deepened.

"Leader's... Training... Ah... I'd rather die..."

"Hiyori!?" Saori looked at her squadmate, flabbergasted at their reactions.

Slowly, she turned her head towards the white haired angel with wings, there, she saw it...

ᓀ‸ᓂ

"You too!?"

'So many Points... Ah... This is heaven...' Meanwhile, Kasuka was basking in the afterglow of her acting career.

'I've never felt so rewarded before...' She couldn't help but be happy. After all, after a mere couple hours of acting, she had built up as much as...

[Remaining Points: 278,560]

A staggering 78,560 Points!

That's almost enough to buy a single small quirk... Since it was only a couple of hours, it really didn't really leave her mind exhausted. Plus, the Pain Control she kept active made it much easier to act as a frail kid.

'Should I activate Self Healing Constitution?'

As she was thinking about that, she shook her head inside her mind.

'No, there's almost no doubt that an injury this deep would leave a scar. Perhaps if I activated the Self-Healing Constitution, it'll even heal out the scar! I can't let that happen! A mere look at my head and it'll be enough to give me Points!'

As she was imagining the thought of the Points Notification running wild, she remembered something and her thoughts ran wild.

'...This is going to sound bad, but it seems like negative emotions are easier to farm when compared to positive ones?'

Indeed, she had noticed this earlier while pretending to be unconscious. Whenever she knew someone felt at awe at her acting, or perhaps felt gratitude like Azusa previously did, she'd gain around 2000-4000 Points.

...But whenever she'd take damage at the place of the white haired angel, she'd gain as much as 12000 Points...

'...Hahahahahah!'

She figured it out.

It seems like... she'll need to scar them for life for the most amount of Points!

'Sorry not sorry~ But all of you would understand if I tell you, right? It can't be helped! I need them Points after all~!'

She was filling giddy for a while until she actually fell asleep.
