The five monsters instantly tore apart their still-living comrade. The sound of their unrestrained chewing sent shivers down their spines.
"Slowly, don't show any signs of panic!" Conrad gripped his short knife and began to retreat slowly. Clearly, these monsters were likely the lowest-level predators on the island. They wouldn't dare attack any potentially dangerous creature. They'd rather cannibalize their own kind than attack them.
However, he knew that these lowest-level predators were the most vicious. If these monsters realized that the two of them had no way to kill them, they would pounce without hesitation and tear them to pieces!
"What's all the noise?" Just as they were cautiously moving away from the group of monsters, a lazy voice suddenly came from behind them.
