"A phone? My own allowance is enough." Pietro remained unmoved. He got $200 per week as pocket money, and Wanda's allowance was even higher.
If he really wanted a phone, he could just borrow some money from Wanda.
If he hadn't spent all his money on magazines, buying a phone would just take a month's allowance.

April felt a sharp pang in her heart.

"Who are you? How did you get in here? Get out, or I'll call the police!" April jumped up. As a single woman, her room was her sanctuary. Who knows what the intruder wanted?
"Really? Call the police? Go ahead!"
Li Qingyuan shrugged and ignored April's frightened expression. He stepped forward and picked up Pietro, who was about to run.
"You little brat! Dare to run around alone? Making shady deals with this woman?"
"Ouch, ouch, ouch… I'm sorry! I won't ever do it again!" Pietro screamed as he was grabbed by the ear.
He had been attracted and distracted by the mature, sexy older sister. Now, seeing Li Qingyuan's killing intent, he knew he was in big trouble and immediately knelt to beg.
"I'll deal with you when we get home!" Li Qingyuan patted Pietro's head a few times, then released him to take him back.

"Sir, I was just discussing payment with your son. If he comes forward, he will instantly become the focus of New York news!" April persisted.
She had finally found a sensational story; she wouldn't let it go.
"What did you see?" Li Qingyuan asked Pietro.
Though he had no interest in fame, this persistent reporter must be after something important Pietro saw.
Even if he disliked the boy, he had to handle potential dangers early.
