"I wonder how it would feel to have you again in this CEO office while we're both completely sober," Carlos murmured against my ear.
My thoughts instantly drifted back to that devastating night when I'd stumbled into this very office, shattered after discovering my worthless husband tangled up with my own sister.
The worst part? They showed no remorse whatsoever. Instead, Charles had the audacity to suggest some ridiculous open relationship arrangement where we could both sleep around freely.
But Charles knew damn well what kind of woman I was. I'd always been faithful, the type who stayed devoted to one man and never even glanced at others, no matter how attractive they might be.
'What a joke,' I thought bitterly. 'He just wanted a convenient excuse to justify his cheating. After everything I sacrificed for him, he still betrayed me.'
