Chapter 64 - Chapter 63- Crimson Rebirth

The Brink of Defeat

Vanessa's knees buckled, her crimson aura guttering like a candle in a storm. Each breath rattled like broken glass. The Overlord's shadowy mass loomed, laughing, claws curling to snuff her out for good.

The battlefield below was chaos, but one voice cut through the storm—Silvanna's.

"No," she hissed, her eyes glowing scarlet. She raised her arms, threads of blood spiraling out like veins across the battlefield, climbing upward toward Vanessa.

Silvanna's Gift

Tony Stark shouted, "Silvanna, don't—you'll drain yourself dry!"

But she didn't stop. The blood tendrils pierced the sky and sank into Vanessa's back like glowing red streams, not as chains—but as lifelines.

Vanessa gasped as warmth surged through her body. Her wounds knitted. Her strength rekindled. For the first time in hours, her crimson light didn't flicker—it blazed.

From above, Vanessa's voice rang clear and steady:

"Silvanna… Aunt Silvanna?"

Silvanna smiled faintly through her exhaustion, whispering back:

"Family doesn't give up on family. Now end this."

The Final Clash

The Overlord shrieked, realizing too late the shift. "IMPOSSIBLE—"

Vanessa didn't wait. She shot forward, fists glowing crimson, each strike reverberating like thunderclaps. The Overlord swung its colossal claws, but every blow it landed was instantly transferred back into its own body, its scales shattering under the mirrored agony.

The fortress itself trembled. Shadow-serpents dissolved. Black lightning forked across the sky as god and mortal collided in pure, unrestrained fury.

"THIS ISN'T POWER—THIS IS MADNESS!" the Overlord howled, its form unraveling.

"No," Vanessa declared, her voice echoing like a war drum. "This is human will."

The Heart of the Serpent

Summoning everything, Vanessa drew the crimson light into a single, searing sphere between her hands. It pulsed with all the pain she'd endured, all the love she'd carried, all the loss she'd survived.

With a scream that shook the heavens, she slammed it into the Overlord's chest.

The god shrieked as cracks split across its body, rivers of black ichor turning to ash. The energy surged through its veins, tearing its essence apart from the inside out.

For the first time, the Overlord bled light instead of shadow.

The End of the Overlord

A final eruption split the sky, red against black, light against shadow. The Overlord's roar dwindled into silence, its colossal body collapsing into smoke and dust, erased from existence.

Vanessa floated in the air, body trembling, but her light did not falter. Silvanna's lifeblood still flowed in her veins, keeping her whole.

The battlefield below erupted in cheers, sobs, and stunned silence. Heroes dropped to their knees, overwhelmed.

Juggernaut's voice broke through, raw and unguarded:

"That's… that's my daughter."

Closing Beat

As the dust settled, Vanessa descended slowly, landing beside Silvanna. She caught her aunt before she collapsed completely, whispering, "You saved me. You saved everyone."

Silvanna smiled weakly, her hand brushing Vanessa's cheek.

"And you gave me hope."

The chapter closes on the heroes gathering around them, the fortress crumbling, the war's darkest hour finally broken—because one woman, restored by family, shattered a god.
