Gaku lunges at five, who blocks the blow from the large spiked mallet with his katana. Then Lubao pulls out a gun and fires, but the bullet is deflected by seven.
He throws the dagger, and Ikuren prepares another shot, which Gaku, Lubao, and Safario manage to dodge without any trouble.
"Wow, kid, you need to improve your weapon skills a lot to reduce the power of your shot," Safario said calmly as he stood.
"Such great power is easy to dodge for anyone who is skilled in everything," Safario said.
"Shut up!" Ikuren shouted, pointing at Safario.
Ikuren fires several times and Safario dodges with great ease, but because he is focused on that man, someone comes up behind him with a gun pointed at his head.
That was Lubao, ready to shoot, but his gun is cut off by Five, who had already anticipated all this, going for the one with the least experience.
"Shit, just now," thought Lubao.
But Nine is right behind him and extends his hand, about to use his ability. He touches Lubao, who feels a slight burning sensation in his body and becomes concerned.
"Well, I'd better intervene," thought Safario.
Just as Nine smiles, Seven, Five, and Four feel a chill running through their bodies.
"Nine, get away from there!" shouted Five.
"What's going on?" thought Nine.
But before Lubao's whole body started to boil, Safario moved at great speed and cut off Nine's right arm, the one he was touching Lubao with.
Safario then quickly appeared behind Seven. Everyone else saw Safario behind Seven, but they didn't see him get there at any point.
"How the hell did he get there?" thought Four.
"I didn't even see him move," thought Five.
"You were the only one who could see me, weren't you, Seventh Mercenary?" whispered Safario.
"That ability of yours surprises me a little. You were able to detect me without the others noticing," said Safario.
Seven pulls out his gun and tries to shoot him, but Safario is no longer behind him. Now he is next to Gaku with Lubao in his hand.
"I'm sorry, we don't have much time, so leave this here," said Safario.
"Well, goodbye, hooded guy with the mask," said Gaku, referring to Five because of how he was dressed.
"Well, I'll leave this to you," said Lubao, throwing a bomb.
"One thing before I go, my ability is called Accelerator. It allows me to go at speeds that the human body cannot reach," said Safario.
"Unfortunately, my body can't handle many of those speeds, and I can only use the ones I can withstand," said Safario before jumping out the window.
Safario, Gaku, and Lubao jump out the building's window, while the bomb activates and the entire room explodes, leaving everything in ruins and dust.
Suddenly, the smoke dissipates and strands of blood can be seen. It was Ka's ability that protected everyone from the explosion. Nine is on the ground, bleeding from his arm, which has been cut off.
"Shit, your arm, Nine!" Ikuren shouted, getting up quickly and rushing over to Nine.
"Damn it, damn it, this is my fault. I lost my focus because I let myself get provoked," Ikuren said worriedly.
"No, don't worry, it wasn't your fault. No one knew that guy would have that ability," Nine said to calm him down.
"You're still too young to understand this mercenary business," Nine said.
"Damn, you lost an arm, but at least you didn't lose your life," said Five.
"Don't worry, I'll help you cover the wound on your arm," said Seven, stopping the bleeding.
"Idiot, I don't have an arm anymore, what arm are you talking about? If you mean the left one, I still have that one," said Nine jokingly to lighten the mood.
"Wow, you sure have the strength to talk, idiot," said Four.
"Shut up, a woman wouldn't understand what's going on with all this," said Nine.
"Well, we'd better get out of here right now," said Seven.
"Why so sudden, Seven?" said Four.
"As I recall, that guy mentioned that there was a confrontation at the same time as ours," said Seven.
"It seems that a comrade had the imperial artifact, so while we were talking to them about that," said Seven.
"Something happened, and there was also a confrontation, which caused the tremor in the building earlier," said Seven.
"That means our friends must be fighting right now," said Four.
"I just sent Julius to get Isack, and they'll find the others," said Seven.
"Wait, but there's no signal, like you told him," said Four.
"I gave him a secret phone that only connects to mine and doesn't need a signal," said Seven.
"You didn't trust us enough to tell us that either," said Four.
"Yes, but not you and Five. I've known you, along with Two, Ten, and One, longer than the others," said Seven.
"Well, it makes sense. Most of us are in this position just trying to stay alive," said Four.
"If I remember correctly, Eight, Three, Six, and Nine, most of you have only been alive for one or two years, keeping your positions," said Four.
"I've only been here for a year," said Nine.
"That's true. If I remember correctly, Three is the only one who has been alive for two years, keeping his position," said Four.
"Most of us have been here for five or seven years, but you're the exception, five. You've been in your position for four years," said four.
"I wonder how you got that position at age 13, when most of us got our positions at age 19 or 18, well, except for seven, who got his at age 20," said nine.
"In fact, only one, two, four, and I are the only ones with more experience, because we've been doing this longer than you have in these positions," said seven.
"Well, come on... up," said Ikuren, lifting nine up.
"So now what?" said four.
"We just have to wait," said five.
"From the sound of the ambulances, it seems like the fight down there just ended," said Seven.
"Yes, but they must still be in the basement down there. I wonder what happened in the fight. I would have loved to see it," said Ikuren.
"Well, there's nothing we can do about it now. Let's meet up," said Seven.
"Yes!" shouted everyone else.
A few minutes before the confrontation upstairs, Julius ran through the hallways until he came across the bodies of beaten people.
"Die, idiot!" shouted a voice in the distance.
"What was that?" thought Julius as he approached the spot.
"It can't be," said Julius as he reached the spot and saw Isack.
"Did you idiots think you could take on the great Isack?" shouted Isack, surrounded by the bodies of many people he had beaten and left unconscious.
"Hey, Isack, stop it. This isn't your neighborhood to be messing around in. For God's sake, you deserve to be called a rookie," said Julius.
"What did you say, idiot? Are you making fun of me just because I'm the only rookie from another country, which is Mexico, right?" said Isack.
"It's not that. Look, we have to leave now. We have to find the others," said Julius.
"Fuck you, asshole. You think I'm going to listen to you?" said Isack, giving him the middle finger.
"Hey, you bastard," Julius swore.
"Listen, you're going to face opponents who are stronger than us," Julius said.
"Seriously?" Isack said.
"Yes, seriously. There are even some who are sure to be better than the top players," Julius said.
"Seriously? I love that!" Isack shouted.
"Good, the lie worked," thought Julius, now calm.
"Then let's go to the basement," said Isack.
"Yes, yes, let's go to the basement," said Julius.
"Wait, basement? There's a basement!" said Julius as he shouted, realizing there was a basement in the place.
"If there is one, two told me so," said Isack.
"Two told you there was a basement here in the auction house," said Julius.
"Now that you mention it, it was very strange. He told me when he was standing next to three corpses," said Isack.
Many hours earlier, after Amalia's confrontation with Cuatro, and after Cuatro jumped out the window.
"Damn, I'm bored just watching the whole place," thought Isack as he yawned.
"Hey, this place looks like it's been consumed by an explosion," thought Isack to himself as he looked at a room full of debris.
"Looks like Six had fun blowing everything up," Isack thought.
"And I thought he would stay in the car as an escape route. I better go see what's going on, in case there's a coconut around," Isack thought as he entered the room.
"Uh..." Isack said when he saw someone there.
"Wait, it's you, Dos," said Isack when he saw that it was Dos standing in front of him.
"Uh..." Dos was surprised to see him and could only say that.
"Ah..." said Dos, now smiling when he saw Isack.
"It's you, Isack. I didn't expect to see you here. What brings you here?" said Dos.
"Yeah, well, I was passing by, and you'll see in a moment. Uh..." said Isack, surprised by something that happened next.
"Those are three corpses next to you. You killed them," said Isack.
"I would say that's sarcasm, since the question is very obvious," said Dos.
"But I'll say no, since I didn't kill them. That was four," said Dos.
"Well, why are you here?" said Isack.
"I was just looking to see if one of them was alive so I could interrogate them," said Dos.
"I see, but you didn't even get any information," said Isack.
"Isack, I already told you they're dead. What information could I get out of them?" said Two, laughing.
"That's true, you idiot," said Isack, laughing too.
"Luckily, I interrogated a guy earlier who told me they only go to the basement," said Two.
"A basement? There's a basement?" said Isack.
"Yes, there is," said Two.
"I see. Let's go then," said Isack, excited to face strong opponents.
"You stay here," said Two.
"Why?" asked Isack.
"There are a lot of people coming to kill us, so face them and then you can go downstairs," replied Two.
"Seriously? Okay, what are you going to do?" said Isack.
"I'll go ahead calmly," said Two.
"While you fight here, I'll check the basement and I promise I'll leave the strong opponents for you," said Two.
"Seriously, thank you," said Isack.
"Well, goodbye," said Dos, running towards the basement.
A few hours later, before the confrontation upstairs, Julius listened carefully to everything Isack said.
"I see that happened," said Julius.
"Yes, exactly," said Isack.
"Well, there's no time left. Let's go," said Julius.
Julius put on the cloth mask, grabbed Isack, and used his ability to sink into the ground. Julius quickly crossed everything to get to the basement.
But when they arrived at the auction room, Julius could no longer use his ability, so he searched the place with Isack.
Until they find a switch and activate a gate that opens a passageway where stairs lead to the basement.
Meanwhile, in the basement, before the confrontation upstairs, the corridors are dark, and we see many open chests until we see someone.
It was Three, who was looking for something because he couldn't find the artifact. Footsteps are heard, and people appear.
Before they notice Three, a hand covers his mouth and grabs him, pulling him behind the wall.
"What the hell, Two," said Three.
"Shut up, idiot, they won't hear you," said Two, covering Three's mouth again.
The two watch as those two people leave after a while as they observe them. Now calm, they sigh and then begin to observe the place.
