The big doors of the throne room closed behind him. That made a really loud noise that went on and, on.
Ben stood still for a moment. The court was really quiet now. There were no whispers or people moving around nervously. The sound of the judges robes was not there anymore. All Ben could hear was the torches burning in the distance and his own heartbeat. His hands finally relaxed.
He took a breath pulled his coat straight and started walking. The man drew another breath straightened his coat again and just kept on walking.
The corridor went on and on it was really long and fancy with marble pillars and golden holders, for the candles that had flames burning in them. Every now and then there were these stained glass windows that let in sunlight, which made all these colors on the walls and they moved around on the floor near his boots. The corridor smelled a bit like sandalwood and old books.
