"Why can I never get you out my mind...?"
"...Ade."
That's the question I asked myself as I laid in my semi-comfortable bed, eyes red from tiredness and the inability to sleep. And yet through all this, all I could think of was Ade Golding. He for sure will be the death of me, literally.
...
Ring!
Ring!
Ring!
"Ahh!." I jumped from my bed at the last ring of the digital alarm on the green bedside table. I looked around.
Sign.
Then my vision started to go dizzy.
SHIT!.
Everything went blank for a second before I once again opened my eyelids and realized I had fallen on to the floor beneath me. Damn iron.
Imagine fainting for 1.1 second just because you stood up too fast, I'm sure my body is against me. Which is stupid by the way, like body come we are one in the same. You should be working with me not fighting against me.
I wondered when I had fallen asleep, ahh I shouldn't focus on that, at least I got some sleep at all.
"You okay, Oxxy?" That voice belonged to Notle Kingston, aka my little sister. She held the wooden door frame as she peaked inside confused with her thin almond eyes. We had an age gap of about 6 years.
When she saw me on the floor, she pretty much guessed what happened. Although she tired to hide it, it was clear that she was holding back a laugh.
"Yeah, I'm okay... I just stood up too fast, again."
"Again. Soon enough you'll have brain damage." Notle trailed closer to where I was still laying, having half given up on getting up. This is actually pretty comfortable, why should I get up.
"Probably." I shrugged it off.
"By the way mom and dad are not here so you know what that means..." Her eyes lit up.
"Weird food combos?."
"Weird food combos."
"Now hurry up, I wanna try bread with drink pop." I heard Notle running down the stairs.
"Hey careful, you could trip and hurt yourself." I quickly ran after her. Notle sat on a chair beside the kitchen counter waving her feet in the air back and forth.
As I approached her, she pulled out three packs of a powdered drink that you had to dilute first before you could drink it obviously.
"I bought them yesterday, shh don't tell mom about my secret stash." She whispered.
"It's not a secret anymore since you told me." I grinned.
"Oh shoot, well I trust you. I know you'd never tell."
Notle being the little kid she was extended her pinky in hope's of me expecting it.
"Pinky promise..." She asked.
"Pinky promise." I promised.
"What flavor should we try first?" She gazed at the three packs in here hands.
"Orange, yeah orange is always good with anything." I picked up the orange flavor from the three and bit the top off of it. It slightly melted on to the bread as I spread it on top of one of the slices, after I placed another slice above it.
My lil sister took a bite and let the flavors play around in her mouth for a moment with her eyes closed.
"Good?" I raised an eyebrow questioning wether it was actually decent or not. My thoughts were that the combo was good but I just wanted to make sure.
The little girl across from me's eyes lit up in amazement. "It's so good I wanna cry." She wept with one tear falling from her left cheek.
"Oh wait I am."
A smirk appeared on my lips as I rolled my eyes. A thought came to mind. I signed taking a bite of the combo sandwich we made.
"Oxxy you okay. The sandwich made me cry tears of joy but it seems that not the case for you." She looked up to me with questioning eyes.
"Yeah just thinking about...something." I glance at her as my vision travels across the table.
"Is it about Ade?"
"Huh!?"
"Oh so I am right." She chuckled with her cheeks full.
"No I'm not, why would you think that." I am surprised that she even knew who Ade Golding is. Non the less why would she even think that, I mean I was but...
You what never mind.
"Cuz I know you have always wanted to be friends with him but your shy, that's why your always staring at him from a far, wanting to talk to him."
Damn. That's my sister for you, she knows what I think about and what I think about.
I should probably stop that.
"I am not."
"You are and you should probably say something before it's too late..." She advised.
"That what you're scared about isn't it, that it well be too late." She got up Heading to the sink to fetch water that later on drank.
"Do it before it's actually too late." Notle had now walk near me after placing her finished glass down and patted my shoulder.
"When did you get so wise..." I smiled.
"And did you just all those sentences with 'too late'." She groaned while raising her arms to the heavens and put her palms together.
"God please save him." She signed.
"Haha what did I do." I shrugged in question.
"Yoh! Your hopeless." Notty went back to take her sit.
Later minutes had passed by and we were still trying out things that would probably give us diabetes but at least we were having fun. Our fingers had changed colour but Notle and I didn't care. Mom would definitely care if/when she see them though which is way we're gonna have to wash the hell out of our fingers later. Right now we're just enjoying the moment.
Then my phone started to ring. I thought it was Dal so I answered immediately.
"Hey Dal, what's up?"
"...?"
A laugh escaped from the other side.
"This is not Dal, little birdie."
My heart skipped a beat.
