XANDER'S POV
Today is the day, Cassandra would be coming here. I have to just tolerate her for a few hours and then I'm done.
I got out from bed and practically dragged myself to the washroom. I felt so tired!
"Come down for breakfast darling", my mom yelled out.
I rushed to the dining room, I was so famished and tired. The thought of being alone with Cassandra was tiring.
"Cassandra would be coming here for the project work", I said after breakfast.
"Meet in an open space, it could be the living room or by the pool. I think it would help a little", she said looking concerned.
"I know that look mom, I've told you before, I'd be fine", I said before going to my room.
I took my bath and did a little reading about the project work. In less than an hour, my mom came into my room.
"Mom, I've been telling you to knock. What if I was naked", I said to my mom but she simply laughed.
"Cassandra is downstairs", she said before walking out.
"Wait what?", I asked clearly surprised.
We agreed to meet an hour past noon, and it's just eleven in the morning.
I changed into a new outfit, brushed my hair and quickly went downstairs. She was really here.
"Hey Xander, you look good", she said standing up from the couch.
"Why are you here? It's too early", I asked trying not to yell at her.
"Since we're meeting only on Saturdays and Sundays, I guess spending five hours isn't too bad", she said sitting down.
"Oh God! What's your problem Cassandra? What do you mean by five hours?", I asked clearly annoyed.
"I'll come at eleven in the morning, and leave at four pm", she said smiling.
"What's making you smile?", I asked angrily.
"I'm just happy to see you", she responded still smiling.
"Tsk, like I said, you're very annoying", I said before making my way to my room.
"Where are you going to?", she asked.
I sincerely had no intentions of answering her, she should know that by now.
"Don't you have a study room or something, why are we by the pool?", she asked surprised.
"Can you please focus", I responded after some silence.
"Why are you always grumpy around me?", she asked almost in a whisper.
I suddenly turned to look at her, but she looked away. I wasn't expecting her to ask me about it.
"Because I don't like you!", I said without thinking it through.
Why did I say it out loud? I promised myself to be less rude to her.
"Everyone knows that, I want to know why you don't like me", she asked calmly.
Wy is she being like this? Do we really have to talk about this? It hasn't been an hour and I'm already suffocating.
"I like you Xander, you know it, everyone does. I really like you", she whispered.
I struggled to hear her, but I still did. I honestly didn't know she likes me, wait! Why is my heart beating so fast?
"Did you hear what I said?", she asked after a brief silence.
"No, no I didn't. What did you say?", I asked stammering.
"Nothing important, let's get back to work", she said grabbing her laptop.

ROMEO'S POV
Monday morning! Argh, I feel so tired and sleepy. I checked the time and I was running late already,
I quickly took my shower and got dressed. "Why am I still sleepy?", I asked myself in annoyance.
I looked in the mirror for the millionth time, yes! I was planning on talking to Lucille today. I'm tired of waiting.
I ate my breakfast and drive to Xander's house, he was already outside waiting. He looked very angry.
"I'm so sorry, I'll buy you lunch today", I said immediately he got in.
"I accept the lunch but not your apology", he said still with a frown.
"You won't be my death Xander, you won't!", I said hilariously.
"You're thinking too highly of yourself my dear brother, I don't want to be your death", he said and let out a little laugh.
"How was your meeting?", I asked and I could see the sudden change of expression on his face.
I burst out into laughter, "you really hate her guy", I said still laughing.
"She said she likes me", he said brushing his hands through his head.
"I already know that, everybody does", I said clearly not surprised.
"She said same, I really didn't know", he added.
"How would you know? You're busily hating on her for God knows what", I said clearly pissed.
He looked outside the car and coughed, I knew he'd not say anything to what I just said. He's so good at ignoring people.
"I'd talk to Lucille today, the worst can happen. I'm tired of waiting", I said almost in a whisper.
He turned to look at me, I could tell he was about to talk me out of it.
"Finally! What took you so long?", he said looking really excited.
I didn't know what to say, this guy never seize to amaze me. I didn't expect him to be in support.
"That's what you were expecting abi?", he asked raising an eyebrow at me.
"I knew it, I was expecting you to be against it", I said hilariously.
"Give her more time Romeo", he said looking serious.
"You can't change my mind Xander, I'm so sorry, my mind has been made up", I said and stopped the car.
We were in school, it's surprising how we were right in time for the first lesson.
LUCILLE'S POV
"Romeo wants to see you, he's at the old school building", Cassandra said sitting beside me.
"He knows we're not supposed to be seen together, why would he want to see me?", I asked her.
"Erm.. you'd have to ask him in person", she said and left.
This girl is so annoying gosh. Why would Romeo want to see me? And at the old school building, we're not allowed there.
My legs moved on it's own, I made my way to meet him. I knew things could end badly if we're caught, but I was willing to take the risk. I miss him so much!
I got there and damn, the place was so quiet. I still don't understand why they abandoned this building, it was still in good shape.
I was looking around when I felt a hand around my waist. I stepped away and turned immediately, it was Romeo.
He pulled me into a tight hug, I hugged him back. We stayed like that for minutes.
"I miss you so much babe", he said kissing my neck.
It felt like an electric shock, I gently pulled from the hug and looked into his eyes. I almost forgot how pretty his eyes were.
"I miss you so much, I'm so sorry", I said holding back my tears.
"I know you have a good reason for all you did, you don't have to apologize", he said holding my hands.
Wait, does that mean Xander didn't tell him? That's actually so nice of him.
"I promise I'll tell you at the right time, you have to be patient", I said to him.
He kissed my cheek and kissed my forehead.
"I'm sorry, I can't", he said teary.
"We can't be seen together Romeo, we can't!", I said crying.
"Why? Please tell me, I'm hurting so much", he responded.
"My mom, she'd send you away if we're seen together", I said almost in a whisper.
He stayed mute for a while and sat on an empty chair near where we were standing. He wiped his tears and stood up again.
"I don't care", he said pulling me into a hug again.
I had mixed feelings, a part of me wasn't willing to risk everything, but a part of me felt really excited.
"I'll try convincing my mom, I'll try my very best. She has to understand I want you in my life", I said wiping away my tears.
"We have to leave now Romeo, we'd be suspended if we're seen here", I said pulling away from the hug.
"Okay, let's go then", he said holding my hands.
"Wait no, we can't go together. I'll take the lead then you come later, make sure you're not caught", I said.
I was about leaving when he held my hands and pulled me closer to him, he placed his hand around my waist and leaned closer to me.
Before I could say a word he kissed me gently, I pulled away a little and smiled.
"Sorry I should've asked", he said clearly embarrassed.
I stepped closer and kissed him too.
"An eye for an eye", I said hilariously and left.
I could literally hear my heart beating, I was so excited. I am his first kiss!
