Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: originally...was my person

Jing Yuan sat on the chair, his cold eyes swept over Gu Yun Xiang's sleeping face. That face was delicate, with long, curved eyelashes, and slightly plump lips, as if he was born to make people want to touch it.

He lowered his head slightly, his deep, dark eyes darkening. After a while, the corners of his lips curved up faintly, half smiling, half disdainful.

"No matter who it is… it doesn't matter," he muttered, his voice low and cold, "as long as it's useful to me."

When he was about to stand up and leave, Yun Xiang's phone suddenly vibrated. Jing Yuan glanced at the screen and saw the name of the caller, Jiang Yu Shen.

His eyes darkened slightly. A trace of disgust and irritation flashed across his face, but he still picked up the phone.

A familiar voice came from the other end of the line, somewhat curiously saying:

"Today… did you go out with that servant, Yun Xiang?"

Jing Yuan did not reply, just silently listening.

Wu Shen continued speaking, his tone somewhat unhappy:

"I told you. That guy is not simple, he approached you like a va-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Jing Yuan raised his voice, so cold that it made the atmosphere on the other side freeze.

"I approached?"

His voice was low, filled with indifference and contempt.

The other side was silent for a few seconds, then Wu Shen frowned and thought:

"This voice is… that servant's?"

Then Wu Shen quickly spoke in a somewhat cold voice mixed with a hint of warning:

"Why are you holding her phone?"

Jing Yuan leaned back in his chair, his eyes cold, speaking slowly:

"Why should I stay away from the young master? After all…" he paused, his lips curled up sarcastically, "she is originally my person."

As soon as he finished speaking, the other end of the line went silent. A moment later, he heard Wu Shen growl:

"You… what the hell did you do to her? Someone like you dares to-"

Before Wu Shen could finish speaking, Jing Yuan decisively hung up, not bothering to listen anymore.

He looked at the screen, his voice slightly low:

"Trash."

Then, he opened Yun Xiang's phone, scrolling through the empty messages. There was no chat between the two of them.

Jing Yuan frowned, a little suspicious, but in the end, he just put the phone back on the table, glanced at the person sleeping soundly on the bed, then turned around and left.

He didn't know that this morning, Wu Shen had taught Yun Xiang how to set up automatic message deletion after one hour, so everything had disappeared.

The next morning

I was sitting down to eat breakfast when Wu Shen suddenly appeared.

He grabbed my hand, pulling it so hard that I almost spilled my glass of milk.

"Van Tuong, come with me for a moment, I have something to say."

I was so surprised that I couldn't react, I just stuttered:

"Ah—brother, take it easy…"

But at the same time, another hand grabbed my other wrist.

The force was strong and cold.

I turned my head to see who it was…when I turned around, I saw that it was none other than Kinh Uyen.

His eyes looked down at my hand that was being held by Vu Than, his eyes gradually darkened, cold but no less threatening: "Do you mind if young master Giang here lets go of my young master's hand?"

Vu Than heard that and smiled slightly, his hand still holding my hand tightly, his mouth speaking in a somewhat sarcastic tone: "Oh, you're back to this fake expression today? If you're so good, why don't you say the words you said yesterday?"

The two people looked at each other, their eyes seemed to flash with sparks...

As for me, who was being held by the two people's hands, I was also confused and didn't understand what was going on, I only felt that the atmosphere seemed a bit strange..
