Chapter 8 - 8

Luo Men definitely wouldn't cause trouble in this branch world of Marvel for a short time; his strength was too weak, and he was afraid of being instantly crushed by some powerful figure.

However, besides causing trouble in his own universe, Luo Men could also project himself into other universes through the Mirror Dimension, then cause trouble in those other universes and expand the Mirror Dimension. That was also a viable option.

Although the Mirror Dimension was very weak due to its decay, because of its inherent characteristics, after acquiring Luo Men, it could actively explore and reach other universes, even the Multiverse, and the Myriad Worlds, not just be limited to the current Marvel Multiverse.

There were two ways to project himself: one was to directly project a replica of his main body, starting directly in the state of his main body, possessing its power, but to a certain extent, it would adapt and change according to the world. Essentially, it would share the same will as the main body.

The other way was to project a part of his soul for reincarnation, starting directly from the womb, possessing local bloodlines. However, there would be a period of 'mystery in the womb' where he wouldn't be connected to the main body until he realized his true self, but in essence, it would still be Luo Men.

Both methods were good and had little impact on Luo Men.

Because from the moment he became the lord of the Mirror Dimension, what was most important to Luo Men himself was no longer these physical bodies, but his most fundamental True Spirit of Will. As long as the Mirror Dimension still existed and possessed enough power, Luo Men would not truly die.

"Projecting into the Multiverse and Myriad Worlds, if all of them are diligently cultivating, wouldn't that be equivalent to having countless versions of myself cultivating? Isn't that a disguised form of multiple shadow clones?"

After thinking about it, Luo Men felt a bit excited. Once his strength reached a certain level, the unification of all projections from the myriad worlds would surely lead to a breakthrough in his strength.

It was somewhat similar to the 'Other Me' concept in 'Wulin Beyond the Heavens,' but the connection between Luo Men and his projections was much closer.

"Let's see what worlds I can project into?"

After thinking for a moment, Luo Men directly used the Mirror Dimension to sense.

After sensing for a bit, Luo Men realized that the current Mirror Dimension was still relatively weak, and with limited search time, it had only connected to two relatively small lesser worlds.

"Two? I'll project replicas into both first. My strength needs to improve. Since I can't cause trouble in this universe, I'll cause trouble in other worlds to accelerate the strengthening of the Mirror Dimension. Projecting for reincarnation takes too much time, and there's the risk of the 'mystery in the womb.' Getting stronger is the priority."

As he muttered to himself, Luo Men made his decision.

Then, Luo Men clearly felt that a tiny portion of his soul and flesh had separated, then gathered a large amount of the Mirror Dimension's power, and then disappeared without a trace. The two worlds he sensed also felt a bit more familiar.

After doing these things, Luo Men also clearly perceived that the already extremely weakened Mirror Dimension, from its original state of barely clinging to life, had directly transformed into a state of being on the verge of collapse at any moment.

"No way, the consumption is that great?"

Luo Men was also a bit surprised, and then he realized.

Projecting and replicating the main body only consumed a little bit of the main body's soul and flesh; the vast majority of the consumption was primarily the Mirror Dimension's energy. Traversing endless time and space, and creating a complete body's energy, for the current Mirror Dimension, could only be described as adding insult to injury.

If it were a projected reincarnation, the consumption would be much smaller.

However, such consumption could be recovered because Luo Men had added an anchor point in the real world, though it would be very slow.

After understanding, Luo Men had no other choice but to sense his two projected bodies through the connection of the Mirror Dimension.

If he could, he planned to strengthen the Mirror Dimension as quickly as possible, so he wouldn't have to worry about the Mirror Dimension suddenly having any problems.

...

"I hate getting wet in the rain."

The gloomy sky and the drizzling rain, feeling completely soaked, Luo Men felt quite uncomfortable.

He didn't dislike rainy weather, but he hated getting caught in the rain, especially the feeling of his clothes being completely drenched.

This projection was very successful; not only was his body perfectly replicated, but his clothes were also copied, otherwise it would have been quite awkward.

After sensing, his own abilities seemed to have weakened quite a bit; both his Telepathy and heat release abilities were suppressed significantly.

When Luo Men released heat, his body temperature increased, merely causing the rainwater on him to steam, but he couldn't completely dry his clothes or isolate his surroundings.

If it were Luo Men's main body, he would be able to form a high-temperature zone on his body surface and directly evaporate the rainwater from a distance.

Thud!

Suddenly, Luo Men heard a muffled sound coming from a dark alley beside him.

"Hmm?"

Looking at the dark alley, Luo Men narrowed his eyes.

Although his Telepathy seemed to be weakened somewhat, through the power of Telepathy, Luo Men could discern that there seemed to be something new inside the dumpster in the alley.

"I seem to have seen this somewhere before."

Looking into the dumpster, at a figure wearing ill-fitting, oversized clothes but with an incredibly petite build, Luo Men instantly reacted.

Using the power of the Mirror Dimension, he had used Mirror Replication to copy the other party's language ability, which also allowed him to make a judgment.

"Who are you?"

Looking at the young boy standing at the alley entrance, who had stopped, the brown-haired girl's heart sank.

"Well, my name is Luo Men, someone who is temporarily homeless."

Looking at the girl who was of legal age but had become of an illegal age, Luo Men didn't know if it was against the law or not.

Looking at the young boy in front of her, Miyano Shiho also understood that he should have no connection with the people from the Black Organization.

Standing still for a moment, because she had taken APTX4869 and was suffering from the drug's effects, the girl, whose condition was already very abnormal, felt extremely uncomfortable all over her body while being drenched in the cold rain.

She had been acting purely on willpower, but now that she suddenly stopped, the dizzying sensation surged uncontrollably.

"Eh?"

Seeing the girl close her eyes and about to fall to the ground, Luo Men quickly stepped forward and supported her.

"Is this a deviation?"

Looking at the unconscious girl in his arms, Luo Men felt he didn't know how to describe his feelings.

Miyano Shiho, or rather Ai Haibara, who should have collapsed at Conan's doorstep, seemed to have fainted earlier because of him.

"Find the woman in the white coat with brown hair."

Urgent shouts came from a distance. Looking at the girl lying on the ground, Luo Men knew that if he didn't save her, Ai Haibara would probably be captured.

After thinking for a moment, he picked up Ai Haibara, threw her white coat aside, and walked directly in one direction.

During this time, a man in black even ran past him, but he didn't realize that the girl in Luo Men's arms was the target they were looking for.
