When challenging the Dragon Soul Sword Tomb, Taiwu Xixi's lack of strength caused a significant delay, and by now, the moon had already risen.
It was a crescent moon; the sun had not yet set, still lingering in the west, while a half-moon had appeared in the east, barely making it seem like the sun and moon were in the sky simultaneously.
Simon released the two little Stranger (Yi Ren), along with Wang Ping'an.
The Taoist followed closely behind Xiao Shufang, looking submissive, but upon seeing Taiwu Xixi, he immediately broke into a bright, silly smile and happily ran towards her. When he reached her and saw his wife's pale lips, the joy on his face instantly faded.
"Are you hurt?"
Taiwu Xixi blinked, "No." She had just changed clothes, applied medicine powder, and finished bandaging, so on the surface, there were no flaws.
The Taoist turned and glared at Bai Zimo. The swordsman looked a bit awkward and repeatedly bowed, "I was wrong."
Xiao Mei rolled her eyes and went back to the Pure Land to cook.
The Taoist and the swordsman went to move tables and chairs as usual, but before they could enter the epiphyllum mirror, Taiwu Xixi waved her hand inside, and the epiphyllum vanished. They lunged at empty air, unable to enter the Pure Land.
The word "worry" seemed to be oozing from every pore on Wang Ping'an's face. Xiao Shufang, seeing his pathetic state, huffily kicked him. The Taoist made a bitter face, bent at the waist, and waited for a scolding.
However, Xiao Shufang did not scold him; instead, she leaned in and whispered something to him.
Wang Ping'an's expression suddenly changed like a Sichuan opera face-changer, alternating between happiness and sadness, which made Bai Zimo shake his head.
Taiwu Xixi had prepared a pot of delicious soup that morning. By now, it was a bit overcooked, but still very tasty. The little chubby Wei Qi held his soup bowl, bubbling with happiness.
Xiao Huang Er, as usual, had Simon feed her. Xiao Shufang ate her meal while staring at Simon's head, her gaze like that of a cuckoo planning to famously occupy a magpie's nest.
For some reason, Bai Zimo got along very well with Xiao Yi and began to educate the little Stranger (Yi Ren) about the Pure Land.
Everything about the Pure Land was good, but it wasn't perfect, especially the Real Pure Land. It was too realistic. Everyone actually only used it as a node for material transfer, preferring to play in the Illusory Pure Land and using the Illusory Pure Land as the main platform for information flow.
However, people could not appear in both the Real and Illusory Pure Lands simultaneously, which led to delays in information transmission. So, Bai Zimo boldly suggested that the Buddha Son enable a message reminder function, allowing fellow practitioners in both Pure Lands to communicate in real-time.
Simon gently said, "I have also considered this matter, but the time for its true completion is not now. The superior affinity has not yet arrived; this is the reason."
Bai Zimo's suggestion was excellent. Enabling everyone in the world to transmit messages to each other was indeed very appealing, but the problem was that Simon currently did not have the energy to accomplish such a major task.
Among his Three Bodies, the Transformation Body is the current Buddha Son, the Reward Body is the next Pangu, and the Dharma Body is the manager of the Pure Land.
The Dharma Body's abilities are limited. If a real-time communication network were established, the massive data flow would consume much of his energy. The great war with Xiangxu was imminent, and Simon could not be distracted.
Only after the next epoch, when everyone in the world has determined their proper destiny and is already a unified will, will they be able to communicate their thoughts to each other. And when the new humans of the new epoch have multiplied, then the idle Dharma Body can establish a communication network, which would be considered a complete merit.
After everyone had dinner, they prepared to rest.
Taiwu Xixi distributed an epiphyllum to each of the little Stranger (Yi Ren), leading them to temporarily stay in the Pure Land. The Taoist and Bai Zimo bid farewell to Simon and also returned to the Pure Land. They had originally intended to follow the Buddha Son, but their elders had sent messages, entrusting them with important matters.
Simon looked around at the clean and clear land; he was once again alone. The night deepened slowly. There were some clouds in the sky tonight, and the starlight was very dim, looking weak. Simon recalled some past events, raised his eyebrows, and swung his sleeve, sending a powerful and surging palm force soaring into the sky, scattering all the undulating, faint clouds.
What a magnificent galaxy.
He stood under the swirling stars and moon, gazing up all night.
The starry sky was the starry sky of his hometown.
Simon could recognize Altair, Vega, Arcturus, Sirius—one by one, cluster by cluster, twinkling, or not twinkling… However, they were all fake.
The Scroll World retained the memory of having once devoured those few planets. In the ancient history of the Star Soul, the light brought by the stars twinkling in the vast, dark deep space is still unforgettable.
The movement of these stars overlaps with the destinies of living beings. Simon had noticed this when he studied numerology earlier, and after delving into superior affinity, he could more clearly see the corresponding relationship between the Reward Body and the stars.
A single star often has a karmic connection with the Reward Bodies of tens of thousands of sentient beings.
This karmic connection is called a fate pattern.
Simon himself had no fate pattern; he was an outsider.
Fortunately, his Reward Body was strong enough to be regarded by the Scroll Primordial Spirit as a powerful being from a great universe outside the realm. Therefore, he confidently entrusted the world and all living beings to Simon.
Simon thought, 'After I clean up the old mountains and rivers, I cannot be confined here. I should try to travel to the next universe, otherwise, wouldn't I be wasting my youth?'
Simon was actually still a young man, so much so that even he himself almost forgot.
His thoughts drifted until the golden light of dawn shone in his eyes, and only then did he regain his senses.
An epiphyllum mirror appeared nearby, and Taiwu Xixi and the others rushed out.
It was time for breakfast.
During her time at the Guangdong restaurant, Xiao Mei had learned some special culinary skills, and famous dim sum breakfast items were naturally indispensable.
She had started preparing two hours earlier, and rushing to make food for a group of people was a bit strenuous for her. Fortunately, the little chubby not only loved to eat but also knew how to cook, helping out effectively.
Everyone slowly drank tea and chatted, but the Taoist and the swordsman always had a worried expression on their faces.
The Evil Taoist and his followers were becoming increasingly brazen, causing killings every moment. As of now, thousands of innocent common people had died tragically. The ordinary populace without martial arts were now hiding in the Pure Land, like a group of refugees frantically running into a shelter.
The evil ones under Duanye Evil Buddha were like a large catfish, rushing into the stable small pond of the world, stirring up mud and sand. The lazy fish were chased by a sense of crisis and started moving, indicating that a great change was about to happen.
These matters, since they were arranged for the people of the world, should be left for the people of the world to worry about. Simon, the one who set the problem, did not intend to favor any side.
Halfway through drinking tea, the Taoist pulled Taiwu Xixi aside to have a private conversation.
After about half an incense stick's time, the two returned, very calm, seemingly having talked smoothly, or perhaps they had argued.
However, their path was none of anyone else's business.
It was getting late; the sun was high in the sky. Let's go to the next Sword Tomb.
