I know that by now a lot of you must be tired of hearing me say this, but I would say it anyway as you're not the ones paying my bills or fulfilling my needs…
But… I was mad.
Utterly and absolutely mad.
My blood boiled hot in my veins and even as the music blasted from the speakers, the only thing I could hear ringing in my ears was the sound of my heart racing in my chest.
I could also hear the way my blood rushed in my veins, as if reminding me of the things I didn't have… of the things I could never have.
And goddess, I was the most mad at myself for not looking 'better' than Leilani!
It felt crazy to think that despite us being completely identical at the moment, she was the only one who still managed to pull the crowd so effortlessly.
I was mad at her for not reacting to my earlier stunt the way I had envisioned her reacting. I wanted her to be enraged. To scream, to cry. To leave. But she did none of those.
