Leilani.
When Gavin told me several days ago that even though I would never forgive him, he wouldn't stop until he had succeeded in clearing my name, I never took him seriously until I witnessed what he did to Chalice a few minutes ago.
I didn't even know how I felt as I watched their altercation, or afterwards, when he carefully carried her out of the room whilst screaming for a doctor after she'd 'fainted'.
All I knew was that I didn't feel anything. Anything at all, even as I knew that there was nothing wrong with her.
That that was her usual response to confrontations she couldn't lie her way out of.
It was something I have seen happen time and time again in the past.
So now, I have become immune to it.
I was however snapped out of these thoughts when I heard the sound of my door creaking open and I sat up quickly, afraid that it was someone else, and turned in the direction of the door only to let out a sigh of relief when a mane of shiny pink hair came into view.
