Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: Legendary Pokémon to Battle!

At the instant that world-rending storm was about to swallow Gast—

She gave up every defense and dodge.

She simply hovered there, opened her mouth, and cast a curse.

An invisible black ripple burst from her body, locked onto the Oricorio in midair—

—and the next second, the raging vortex engulfed her.

That small figure was torn and drowned by howling winds, then dropped helplessly from the sky.

She was unable to battle.

Almost at the same moment,

the Oricorio in the air—sustaining the storm like a god—shuddered.

Its eyes went glassy.

The overwhelming aura of a just-spent ultimate move ebbed away like the tide.

Destiny Bond had taken effect.

Its strength fled; it, too, fell from the sky.

Mutual destruction!

The whole world went silent.

The referee stared at the two Pokémon lying on the field. Only after a long moment did he rasp, shocked, to announce the result:

"Gengar and Oricorio are both unable to battle!"

The verdict, shouted with all the strength he had, rang crystal clear in the silent arena.

"This round is a draw!"

The result stunned everyone.

A draw—

meant challenger Jason had traded two Pokémon to remove four of Elite Four Larry's.

On the board, Jason still held the advantage.

But everyone knew—he had no retreat left.

Iron Valiant had left from sheer exhaustion; Gengar had dragged the foe to the grave.

He had only himself remaining.

While Larry still had one last card—and his strongest ace.

Jason walked onto the field and gently lifted the downed Gast.

He took out a Hyper Potion and carefully treated her wounds.

She opened her eyes weakly, smiled at him, and slipped into a deep sleep.

"Rest well," Jason murmured.

Across the field, Larry also returned his Oricorio.

There was not a hint of frustration on his face.

He looked calmly at Jason, and the battle-lust that belongs to the mighty did not dim—it burned even hotter.

"Magnificent tactics. Magnificent Pokémon."

The praise was heartfelt.

"Using Destiny Bond to force off my fully boosted Oricorio—that was the correct call. Your Pokémon are excellent!"

As he spoke, he pulled the last and most precious Poké Ball from his belt.

"Then next—comes our final duel."

His expression flashed with excitement and expectation.

He raised the Poké Ball high.

"Come forth—my final ace! Flamigo!"

Pink light flashed. A powerfully built, elegantly poised pink Pokémon landed on the field.

Its neck bent in a curious, knotted angle; its eyes were razor-sharp. A strong, confident aura radiated from its body.

"It's Flamigo!"

"Elite Larry's final Pokémon has finally taken the stage!"

"Flamigo is Larry's absolute mainstay—rumor is its Scrappy ability ignores Ghost immunity and lets it hit with Fighting-type moves!"

"The final showdown begins!"

The venue's atmosphere spiked to a peak.

Every eye shifted from the awe-inspiring Flamigo… to Jason.

Larry's gaze locked onto him, blazing.

His voice rose with excitement. "At last—you've come out yourself?"

"Jason, show me your true strength!"

Like a bomb dropped into a lake, his words detonated the crowd's enthusiasm.

Yes!

Iron Valiant was that strong; Gengar that uncanny.

So how strong must their Trainer's own partner be—that famous Ditto that talks like a person?

All around the arena—and the tens of millions in the stream—held their breath.

They were waiting for this moment:

to witness, with their own eyes, that viral Ditto step in to fight!

But faced with Larry's warlike invitation, with the sea of expectant stares—

Jason slowly shook his head.

A teasing smile tugged at his lips.

"Who said I'm the one taking the field?"

"I still have one more partner."

The words froze everyone.

One more partner?

How?

Didn't his challenge registration list only Iron Valiant and Gengar?

Larry frowned, puzzled, staring at Jason.

And then—while confusion rippled everywhere—

the sleek, purple, futuristic motorbike that had always dozed at the field's edge slowly opened its eyes.

What kind of eyes were those?

No longer lazy, deep, and detached as if just watching a spectacle—

but eyes burning with violet lightning, brimming with sovereign majesty!

Iron Valiant's last stand, Gast's grim resolve—

this high-intensity battle of honor had, at last, ignited the long-silent heart of a future legendary Pokémon—the heart of the strongest warrior!

"Rrrr…!"

A low roar rolled from its throat.

Bzzzt! Bzzzt!

Wild purple electricity writhed like living serpents across its metallic body, racing and leaping.

The air swelled with a powerful, spine-freezing pulse of energy.

It rose to its feet.

And then it walked.

One step. Another. Slowly onto the battlefield.

Each step pressed on every heart in the arena—

heavy, forceful, carrying an unmatched, monarch-descending presence.

When Miraidon, the legend of Paldea, stepped into the center circle—

a terrifying pressure tsunami swept the venue!

Around the pitch, the immense sky-simulating screens flickered madly, static snow of violet crackling across them.

The lights of the arena sputtered, flicker-dim—as if about to snuff out beneath the crushing energy.

The crowd fell collectively mute.

Mouths agape, minds blank, no sound came out.

Everyone—here and online—was shattered by a spectacle beyond imagination, beyond reason.

What was that…?

That Miraidon of legend?

It was Jason's partner, too?

And it would fight under his command?

Was that even… reasonable?

Had Jason truly grown so strong—he'd befriended Miraidon?

The referee stood slack-jawed; the small starting flag slid from his numb fingers to the floor, and he didn't even notice.

Only one thought remained in his head.

On the dais, Larry wore the same stunned look as everyone at first—blank, dumbstruck.

He stared at the purple dragon exuding crushing dread, at the living currents arcing over its frame; his brain stalled for half a second—

and then, like thawing ice, shock melted into something else—more extreme.

Rapture.

A pure, unmasked, battle-maniac's rapture, from the depths of his heart.

"Ha—ha…"

He laughed, low at first.

Then louder, freer—until it swelled into a peal that rang to the rafters, thick with unrestrained joy.

"Hahahahaha!"

"So that's it! So that's it! So this is your trump card!"

He stared at the imperious Miraidon, and felt no fear at all. Instead, a near-mad light burst from his eyes.

"Excellent! Truly excellent!"

He slashed a hand through the air, pointing at the legendary. His voice shook with a thrill he'd never felt before.

"Perfect timing! I want to see with my own eyes—

"—just how strong a legendary Pokémon really is!"

His fighting spirit reached a true apex.

His wild laughter, in the deathly still arena, was jarringly clear—and it shook the crowd awake.

They looked from the man ablaze with battle-lust to the divine beast at center field—and the dizziness still would not leave.

The referee finally stooped and picked up his flag.

He wiped cold sweat from his brow; it felt less like a flimsy banner and more like a scepter witnessing history.

He cleared his dry throat and, almost reverently, declared the final battle begun:

"Battle—continue!"

Flamigo stood opposite Miraidon.

Its powerful body tensed to the limit.

Those keen eyes locked onto the colossus. As Paldea's strongest ace, it had never feared an opponent.

Yet the absolute, life-level pressure washing from that legendary still stirred a primal tremor.

But the trumpet had sounded.

No command from Jason was needed.

At the referee's word—Miraidon moved.

Its Hadron Engine roared to life!

A low hum—like a resonance from another dimension—rolled out.

Centered on Miraidon, a visible energy field swept across the arena in an instant.

The ground was no longer plain turf.

A pale-violet hexagonal grid of pure electrical energy bloomed from nowhere, flashing and spreading until it filled every corner.

Static crackled in the air; the arena lights flickered once more.

Electric Terrain—established!

Within its own domain, Miraidon's aura climbed again—

its Special Attack spiking sharply.

It dipped its head slightly; those violet-lit eyes pinned Flamigo across the field—

—and the next second, it vanished.

No run-up, no wind-up—only pure, absolute speed.

"Electro Drift!"

A violet bolt tore space.

Larry's pupils knifed down to pinpoints. Only one thought flashed through his mind:

So fast!

He didn't even have time to call a defense.

BOOM!

A heavy impact thundered through the venue.

The purple lightning crashed full-force into Flamigo.

It shrieked. That sturdy body might as well have been hit by a maglev train at top speed—it had no chance to resist. It went skidding, tumbling across the pitch for a dozen rolls before coming to a smoking heap.

One blow.

Not even a proper exchange.

The Elite Four's final ace was left with no answer.

Such is the absolute power of a legendary.

The crowd fell mute again.

No one knew what expression to wear in the face of this miracle-like scene.

And yet—Larry's face held not a trace of despair.

He looked at his Flamigo, struggling to its feet, body trembling—and the light in his eyes only burned hotter.

"This is right—this is right!"

He growled in delight.

"If you don't have this kind of power—how dare you call yourself a legendary!"

He knew that as he was, he had no chance.

Then—wager it all.

He raised his Tera Orb high—the jewel blazing seven colors, condensing all the honor and resolve of an Elite Four.

"Show your resolve, Flamigo!"

He hurled the Tera Orb.

Dazzling light flooded the arena.

Within the brilliance, Flamigo tilted its head and cried out in defiance.

Pink feathers were sheathed in a crystalline shell.

A vast, pure Flying-type energy erupted from within!

On its brow, a resplendent Flying Tera Crown of pure energy slowly formed.

Its aura—under Terastallization—surged wildly.

Powerful flying winds, near-tangible, whirled around it.

Flamigo straightened, pain in its eyes burning away before the blaze of fighting spirit.

For its Trainer, it would offer a most glorious strike!

"That's the spirit!"

Larry watched his reborn ace and slashed his arm down.

"Tera Blast!"
